“Ha… so it was just game money.”

Even after arriving at his room he still couldn’t shake off the fact that the huge debt he had been worrying about was nothing but virtual money.

“…”

He took out the bankbook from his pocket and was at loss for words as he stared at the many zeros in it.

Soon after he walked up to desk, then crouched and put it in one of the lower drawers. After getting back up, he looked at his game capsule.

“Time to tackle that quest.”

Myeonghu went and entered the game.

* * * *

Blah! Bla!

Because the place he had previously logged out was the Auction house, it was also the place he reappeared in after starting the game. It was crowded and noisy as usual, with various players shouting at the top of their lungs in an effort to be heard. Myeonghu simply went to purchase some more Teleportation scrolls before moving to a secluded alley

Suaak!

Opening up a portal to Himise with his ring, he instantly arrived there. It was completely unlike the Auction house as he arrived to a scene of peaceful bliss. Myeonghu smiled as he opened his quest window.

✿<Tilto’s Craftsmanship 1>

Tilto is crafting an Item and requires the Claws of the Monstrous Fox which are known to be as hard as steel. Go hunt the Monstrous Foxes and return with Steel Claws for Tilto!

[Monstrous Fox’s Steel Claws: 0/30]

Difficulty: D

Quest Reward: ???, Tilto’s Craftsmanship 2

“Ugh… why didn’t I just keep a Claw key with me? Their drop rate isn’t all that great….”

He chided himself after examining the quest details. It order to hunt the Monstrous Foxes, he first had to make his way into the Nine Tails Forest. However he had sold all of them and their drop rate wasn’t particularly high.

“Oh well, nothing I can do now anyways, I’ll just have to farm it.”

Since it was all in the past he figured that hunting the Great Fox King would be the only hope of getting his hands on another Key.

“Ah!”

After taking but a couple steps, he did a 180 and headed to the General Store excitedly.

“I hope they’re still there.”

Since he had sold them off at this store, there was still some chance that he had them in stock.

“Please be there!”

Upon entering the store he immediately ran up to the counter.

“Welcome!”

Pelun greeted him as he came in.

“Do you remember that I sold you Great Fox King items here recently?”

“Of course!”

“Then do you remember those Claws which had some magical properties?”

“Yes! How could I forget.”

“Would you happen to have any of them left?”

“Then one’s with magic in them?”

“Yes those.”

Myeonghu replied, waiting expectantly for an answer.

‘Please have them.’

I would be super convenient if they were still here, otherwise he would have to go farm the Great Fox King, but it would be super time consuming.

“Yes, wait one moment.”

Myeonghu let out a sigh of relief as Pelun pulled out a Claw Key.

Since you sold it to me recently, I’ll just sell it back at the same price of 35 gold. Do you want to buy it?”

“Yes!”

Myeonghu quickly handed over the 35 gold and took possession of the Claw Key, placing it in his inventory.

“Good day.”

Myeonghu exited the store with a beaming smile.

“Now it’s time to go… wait.”

Myeonghu stopped walking as he was hit by a sudden thought, and opened his inventory.

“I barely have 700 gold left.”

Of course to most players it would be a lot of money, but to Myeonghu who not long ago held 25,000, it was merely a pitiful sum.

“There are still plenty of items at the blacksmith’s shop.”

There didn’t seem to be a time limit on his current quest, so he wasn’t particularly hurried. What was uncertain was for how long this equipment drought would go on for in the big city, so he had to first take advantage of that.

“Yes, money should come before a quest!”

Despite being on the verge of embarking on the new quest, he changed his mind at the last minute.

“Well..I guess there aren’t many sword left. Should I focus on bows or crossbows?”

He began to walk once more as he thought about what he should sell. Most items would sell well, but he didn’t have too much capital to work with right now.

“Let’s start with bows.”

He only came to the decision as he arrived outside the blacksmith’s. Once inside he immediately made his way to the bows section and after examining them somewhat, he brought a pile over to the counter.

“I’ll pay it all together.”

“…”

Tilto didn’t immediately answer, allowing Myeonghu to amass a significant stack of bows

“665 gold.”

After hearing the amount from Tilto, Myeonghu stopped picking additional items. He then handed over the exact amount and placed the bows in his inventory.

“How is my request coming along?”

Tilto asked expectantly.

“It make take some time, but I’m on it!”

“Then please do your best.”

“Yes, see you later.”

They said their goodbyes and as soon as he exited the store, he ripped open a scroll.

Suuak!

Upon arriving at Demes’ Central plaza in a flash of light, Myeonghu tried to find a player which was buying in bulk. However, for some strange reason he wasn’t able to find any.

“I guess I’ll have to go to the Auction house.”

He started walking there when….

“Excuse me, but have we met before?”

“…?”

Myeonghu noticed a player standing before him and blocking his path.

‘Huh? From that time?’

He vaguely recognized the face of the player standing before him.

“Hey, it’s GolKing, do you remember me?”

“Ah, yes.”

Naturally he remembered since he had been the first to buy a large batch of swords.

“What have you been up to?”

While Myeonghu was wondering why Golking was standing before him, the man in question showered him with a warm smile.

“I was wondering if you had any more items to sell, just like last time.”

“…!”

Hearing him say that he felt that it might no longer be necessary for him to go all the way to the Auction house. Myeonghu’s face erupted into a smile.

“I have 20 bows for sale.”

“Oh! Bows? Can I have a look?”

GolKing quickly requested a trade and after Myeonghu accepted a window appeared. He then started putting up the ones with the worst properties.

“Good stuff!”

GolKing exclaimed after examining the eight bows. He then asked cautiously.

“How much are you selling for?”

“I’ll sell them around market price so between 130~140 gold.

“Ah… I see.”

Golking couldn’t hide his disappointment as he began to think.

“How about 135 gold apiece, for a total of 1080 gold?”

“Sounds good.”

A price of 135 gold each was quite fair. Myeonghu finalized the deal by clicking OK once the 1080 were listed.

“Do you want to buy some more? I have 12 more bows and their properties are even a bit better than these ones.”

“Ah… a bit better than the other ones?”

“Yes”

“… Okay I’ll take a look.”

Myeonghu made sure to emphasize that their properties were better than the ones sold for 135, making it obvious that he would need to provide a satisfactory price.

“How about 140 gold each?”

Myeonghu nodded, agreeing with the 5 gold increase as he became 1120 gold richer. He then posted the last 4 bows and likewise sold them for 140 gold each.

“Do you have any more to sell?”

“Very soon, but will you still be here?”

“Of course.”

They both smiled at each other expectantly.

“Then I’ll see you later.”

Leaving Golking behind, he made his way to an alley and checked the amount of gold in his inventory.

‘2760 gold… I’ve quadrupled my money.’

By doing a single round trip he suddenly had four times as much money.

Suuaak!

He quickly opened up a portal and reappeared in Himise.

“Should I keep selling exclusively bows? No, let’s mix it up so as to not saturate the bow market.”

Myeonhu spoke to himself as he made his way to the blacksmith.

“I’ll pay it all one shot.”

After arriving at the store, Myeonghu walked over to where the bows were displayed as Tilto kept an eye on him. After check their stats, he brought a bunch of them with him to the counter.

“1330 gold.”

‘I’ll also include some crossbows this time.’

He went to examine the crossbows and brought some back with him.

“Total of 2750 gold.”

“Here you go.”

Handing over the pouch of gold to Tilto, Myeonghu threw all the weapons into his inventory, which now held 40 bows and 45 crossbows.

“See you later.”

Myeonghu walked out and used a Teleportation scroll.

Suuaak!

Upon arriving at Demes’ Central plaza, he instantly looked around for Golking.

‘There he is!’

After spotting him he quickly made his way over.

“How are you already here? Do you already have more stuff to sell?”

“Yeah.”

Myeonghu nodded and set up a trade with Golking and put up 8 bows,

“Bows again is it? How many do you have this time?”

Hearing Golking’s question he could only stare back with a mischievous smile.
