Myeonghu sported a greedy smile as he thought of the stack of Fox Pelts in his inventory. He placed all of his bonus stats into Strength, then left the area.

“That was pretty fast.”

He muttered to himself as he fixed his gaze on his level. He then assigned his stats to Strength, before closing the window and looking down at the three fox corpses at his feet.

Myeonghu picked up all the items and placed the into his inventory.

“17 of them… I wonder how much I could earn?”

He asked himself as he thought of the amount of Pelts in his inventory. Naturally 17 was a huge number, but considering how much each of them sold for it, should amount to an impressive sum.

“How many of them should I gather?”

He wasn’t planning on stopping at 17 as he still had plenty of space in his inventory, and had no reason to return to the village early.

He then set forth once more exploring through the forest for some time before stopping after hearing some sounds.

GrrrrrrGrrrrr

“Huh?”

It was a familiar sound which he had heard before, just not one he assigned to a Great Fox King.

Myeonghu faced the direction of the sound and focused carefully

He heard the roar once more and finally realised where he knew it from as he quickly sprinted in that direction.

‘It’s that guy!’

He was certain that it was that humongous fox which had chased him down for so long, the one he had mistaken for a Great Fox King.

‘Then which one is it?’

In this area there were Great Fox Kings, Monstrous Foxes and the Nine Tailed Fox Boss. Since it wasn’t a Great Fox King, it was either a Monstrous Fox or the Boss.

GrrrrrrGrrrrr

Myeonghu finally slowed his pace as he approached the origin of the sound. Swallowing down nervously, he carefully stepped forward and peered through a bush.

“…!”

He was finally able to once again meet that humongous fox which had chased him down so viciously.

‘Monstrous Fox’

Having caught sight of it once more, he instinctively knew that it was a Monstrous Fox

GrrrrrrGrrrrr?

GrrrrrrGrrrrr!

“One, two….”

Normally such a Boss like the Nine Tails would be by itself, but in this case there were several of them in a group.

“Five….”

After finishing his headcount, Myeonghu gulped in fear as one of the Monstrous Foxes caught sight of him.

‘Time to go!’

Without thinking he immediately turned around and ran. If he hadn’t experienced fighting the four Great Fox Kings he might have naively charged forward, but luckily he now knew better.

“Taking on 5 of them….”

Just the four Great Fox Kings had given him a hard time, even having good teamwork with a nice combo. It was obvious that the Monstrous Fox would be both stronger and smarter than its inferior brethren, not to mention that there were five of them.

GrrrrrrGrrrrr

He heard a couple roars come from behind him as he picked up his speed and ran for his life. He didn’t slow down until he heard the roars grow softer and softer and only stopped when he no longer heard any sound coming from behind.

“Phew…”

Myeonghu sighed in relief as he saw the tranquil scene behind.

“I want to hunt them, but it can’t be in an open space.”

Although the Monstrous Foxes represented tantalizing experience points and drops, fighting any more that two of them at the time would be tantamount to suicide.

“It would be nice if I can find one by itself.”

Crunch!

Myeonghu froze and stared in the direction of the footsteps, watching as a Monstrous fox walked out from behind the trees.

Rawwr!

It roared upon spotting him, but Myeonghu couldn’t help but smile.

“What good luck!”

Just as he had been hoping to find one alone, it delivered itself to him.

Rawr! Grrrrrr!

The Monstrous Fox lunged forward, showing a speed which outclassed that of the Great Fox King.

Chomp!

‘3200?’

Myeonghu suffered a bite from the fox and verified his health, noting that it was even stronger than the previous one which had chased him down.

Pak! Pak!

It instantly transitioned to a double slash with both of its front paws.

‘6000!’

He check his health as he was blown back by the strikes.

Rawr!

It roared out aggressively as it charged towards him once more, but this time Myeonghu was ready and managed to land a blow of his own.

Chomp! Bang!

Just as it bit down hard on his shoulder, Myeonghu punched it hard in the stomach.

Rawr!!

It was sent flying and roared in pain, but unlike the Great Fox Kings before it, it didn’t die from a single blow.

‘3500….and it didn’t even die in a single blow.’

He couldn’t help but be nervous as it had been quite some time since a monster was able survive a strike of his.

Rawrr!

The Monstrous Fox charged forth once more and Myeonghu prepared to punch out.

Shwwaak!

At the last moment, showing incredible agility, the Fox did a 180 degrees turn and slapped out with its tail. Completely caught off guard, he was unable to react as it swatted him in the face.

[2 seconds stun]

The message appeared after being hit by the tail. Although two seconds might sound short, in the heat of battle it might as well be an eternity.

Pak! Pak! Pak! Pak!

Whether or not it fully understood the predicament its prey was in, The Monstrous Fox slashed out with its claws in succession, taking full advantage of the situation. Having no choice but to stare helplessly at the incoming strikes, Myeonghu waited for the stun to wear off, at which point he punched out decisively.

Swish!

His fist flew harmlessly overhead as it had managed to duck the punch. They both took a step back as they stared each other down. Narrowing his eyes in concern, Myeonghu first checked how much health he’d lost.

‘17,000’

Although the battle had just begun, he had already lost 30% of his total health.

Rawwr!

‘If I’m not careful I just might die here!’

Myeonghu thought to himself as he watched the Monstrous Fox rush towards him. He had no idea how much health it had left or how may more of his punches it could endure, causing him to worry that he might actually lose the fight.

“Please!”

He ran forward decisively to meet it head on.

Shwaack!

The Monstrous Fox once again began to spin and strike with its tail, but having already seen it once, Myeonghu came prepared and ducked to avoid it. As the tail cut the air above his head, he punched it in the back.

A sigh of relief escaped him as the Monstrous Fox collapsed down to the ground, giving him a wealth of experienced which resulted in the countless level up messages.

“Just how much experience does this guy give….”

Myeonghu wondered to himself as he focused on the drops.
