The two hadn’t met in quite a while, and were long living in different worlds. Luo Tianyuan didn’t know much about the industry Qin Yutong was working in, and Luo Tianyuan’s job wasn’t one that could be told to just anyone.

Back then, they almost became a couple. In Qin Yutong’s opinion, she could get together with Luo Tianyuan as long as she was willing. After all, Luo Tianyuan didn’t have other better options, did he? She didn’t see any outstandingly beautiful women in this small Ning City. She believed that he would fall for her again.

Luo Shuyan didn’t know that her father was a very popular bachelor on the market, he had countless bees going after him.

She started to worry over her own issues. She’d gone through the primary school and middle school textbooks. With Shen Yan’s enthusiastic encouragement, she managed to go through all the preparation for middle to high school. Grade 1 to Grade 9 would take a few years and the homework she was currently getting from school was unchallenging, and the exam questions were no challenge.

Should she only read books for the next few years and relax as she waits for herself to grow up?

That was too disappointing!

Actually, most primary school children were super chill about their studies. Even the class teachers couldn’t cause the children to feel stressed out. Class ended at 4PM, and the hardworking bunch would finish their homework right after class and have plenty of time to watch TV and have fun after that.

If Luo Shuyan didn’t have Shen Yan as her neighbor, she would certainly be lazing away.

Shen Yan was a child genius and had an IQ that helped him get ahead in life. Despite that, he was very hard working, and this made Shuyan feel like a lazy bum.

She couldn’t let herself continue to be lazy.

However, she really didn’t want to start going through high school study materials. She was only 7, and would forget most of what she’d studied by the time she was old enough. Wouldn’t that just be a waste of her time? After all, her memory wasn’t as good as Shen Yan’s.

As a secret billionaire’s child, she found the need to expand her skillset of expertise.

In the end, Luo Shuyan decided on two extracurriculars to work on: Piano and Dance.

On TV, the female protagonist would play the piano to accentuate her elegance, and ultimately capture the heart of the handsome male lead.

Since Shen Qingruo also knew how to play the piano, Luo Shuyan couldn’t let this opportunity pass.

In regards to dancing…

She didn’t know much about it, but she figured that it was a good way to exercise and keep herself healthy. She was a plump young lady, so she figured that she could burn a few more calories through dancing. ‘Dancers are so beautiful!’

“Shen Yan, what do you think about the idea of me playing the piano and dancing?” Luo Shuyan had been imagining herself as a talented fairy and asked.

“I think you’re better off fluffing cotton.” At that, Shen Yan instantly turned from a handsome boy into a venomously tongued snake.

“Go to hell Shen Yan,” Luo Shuyan replied.

Shen Yan continued to do his practice questions. “Be careful, you might lose passion really fast.”

Even though Luo Shuyan wouldn’t admit that she’s childish, Shen Yan’s tactics always worked on her.

Luo Shuyan was motivated by Shen Yan’s provocation. As soon as her father came back from work, she excitedly said, “Papa, I want to learn the piano, I also want to learn how to dance.”

Luo Tianyuan was delighted; he didn’t have high expectations for his daughter, and was content to see her happy and healthy. Since his daughter was doing well in her studies, he was beyond happy to let her pick up new skills. “Great! Papa will buy a piano for you!”

“Papa, pianos are very expensive!” Luo Shuyan said.

“……”

“……”

The both were silent over their “accidental” bloop.

One forgot that he was supposed to be acting poor, while the other forgot that she was actually rich.

Luo Tianyuan hurriedly answered her, “A piano is expensive, but if you want it, your Papa will do anything to buy it for you. Shuyan, rest assured, the company I’m working for is doing well and my boss has given me a pay rise. Plus, the bonus I get is way more than my peers. Do you remember Uncle Song from Shen Zhen? He passed me his connections for a private job and it’ll allow me to earn quite a bit. It wouldn’t be a problem to buy you a piano!”

“Papa, actually, we don’t need the piano immediately. Just let me learn for a bit, and if I’m good at it, you can buy it later on…”

“Sure, Papa will talk to Aunty Shen tomorrow. I’ll also talk to my colleagues to see if any one of them knows how to dance and are willing to teach you.”

The father and daughter duo came to a final conclusion after a whole round of ‘acting’.

Of course, Luo Tianyuan was an incredible actor, he didn’t forget to tell his daughter that, “Although we aren’t very wealthy, Papa will work hard to ensure my precious baby wouldn’t need to give up her dreams of becoming a pianist or dancer. Just focus on learning, that’s the best you can do for Papa.”

Luo Shuyan, the daughter of the incredible actor, ensured her father that she would work hard and not let him down. She wouldn’t waste her father’s blood sweat and tears, though she hoped her father wouldn’t feel disappointed if she didn’t become a pianist or a professional dancer.

In the end, Luo Shuyan went back to her room and sighed. It was so difficult to act poor.
