The Male Lead's Childhood Friend

Chapter 8 - Saying Goodbyes (2)

The three of us had a group hug. The feelings deep within me just came out after that.

"How did you get in here?" I asked. As I know only passenger can enter up to here.

"You know that I have my means, being that I am my father's daughter." Krista smiled. Being a strong politician's daughter is quite amazing.

"So Paris huh?" Geraldine said after our tears came into a stop. "How long are you going to study there?"

"For about two years I guess." I replied with a smile.

"That long?" Krista looked at me with a sad face.

"It's not like I won't come back." I said. "I just need some time for myself, to search for the 'me' without all that baggage."

"That b*stard Jeremy! It's all because of him!" Geraldine angrily said. "Why would he fall for such a tramp? You have been with him ever since you were young, he should have seen your sincere feeling for him after so long."

"That is the problem Din. We have been together since we were kids that his feelings towards me are for mere siblings." I sighed sadly.

"But I heard Jeremy has been trying to contact you all this time." Krista said. "My brother said there is no day Jeremy hasn't gone to your house to try to see you."

"I know." I sighed again.

Why is it when I am trying to distance myself from Jeremy is when he is making his presence so strong?

"Hmph! He is just a guy who doesn't appreciate what he has. And when it is gone, he will know the value." Geraldine said with a sour face. "It's good you dumped a guy like him, he is not worth it. I am sure you are going to meet a romantic French guy in Paris. I am sure you will move on in no time."

"Come on Din, I am not going to Paris to search for a French guy. I am going there to study." I giggled with Geraldine's suggestion. "By the way, how did you know my flight is today?"

I was really curious how my best friends knew when I was planning not to tell them until I arrived in Paris.

"Your mother called us." Krista replied.

"Oh, so it was mom." I said. Mom knew that Geraldine and Krista are my best friends and that they were like sisters. Maybe mom thought at least I need to give a proper goodbye to them.

"You are really bad. Deciding on not saying goodbye and telling us after you left." Geraldine playfully bumped my head with her fists.

"Hehe, sorry. But really thank you for coming." I said with a grateful smile.

"Keep safe there okay." Krista said.

"Call us frequently." Geraldine said. "And tell us if you meet a cute French guy. You can introduce us as well you know." She grinned.

"Okay, okay. Are you planning on changing boyfriends again?" I giggled.

"Well dating a foreigner might be a change. Maybe he will be my mister right." Geraldine said with a proud face.

"You change boyfriends like you change your clothes." Krista inserted. And all of us giggled.

'Passengers for flight XXX123 going to Paris, please proceed to gate 213 for boarding.' The voice in the intercom said.

"Well that's my flight." I said while looking at my two best friends.

"Keep in touch okay." Geraldine said with a sad face.

"I will." I replied with a smile.

"We will miss you." Krista said.

"I will miss you too." I made one last hug to them and proceeded to the boarding gate.

I was one of the first in line before people started to pile up thankfully. After giving my ticket and passing the gate I heard a very familiar voice calling out to me. I know this voice by heart.

"ANA!...ANA!" Jeremy was shouting.

I looked back to see him panting heavily.
