The Male Lead's Childhood Friend

"Don't worry little rabbit, I will also help you with you correct your love life." Eros winked at me and sends me a flying kiss.

Looking at these gods before me felt weird. 'Is this how gods are supposed to be?' I wondered.

"Correct my love life?" I asked in full curiosity.

I was really not expecting anything about my love life after what happened to me in my past life. The pain and anguish is etched in my memory. They might not be seen on the surface because I have carefully buried it in the depths of my heart.

"Well of course, little pet." Eros said changing his playful smile to a more serious look. "In my book love, you and Jeremy are meant to be together. You are the ultimate ending in both your love lives. I remember reading your sweet relationship that started as childhood friends and became campus sweet hearts, until the two of you got married and get old with one another…" Eros became immersed with telling my whole love's story.

"Wait, wait, wait…" I stopped him going any further. "So what you are basically saying is, me and Jeremy are really meant with each other?" I gestured my fore fingers linking them side by side.

"Technically that is correct." Eros hanged his head to the side like he didn't know why I doubted this.

"You can't simply let me believe that, after what I have been thru from my past life!" I said forcefully. "I mean, if we were really meant for each other then why did I have to go all thru that pain and suffering?" I can't believe why I need to suffer in my past life.

Eros looked at me with pity. "I am sorry Anastasia. I didn't mean to let you go thru all of that. It was a mistake that we need to fix, like the other fates we are meant to fix."

I know it wasn't really all Eros' fault or the other god's for that matter. They didn't mean for any of this to happen and are trying to fix things. But I can't help but think that if they didn't screw things up, then I and Jeremy might have had a happy ending in my past life. I felt tears starting to trickle on my cheeks.

"I am sorry Ana. It's my fault." Shiki wiped away the tears from the corner of my eyes. "I promise you, I will set things right. I just need your help, okay?" He told me those words gently that I felt relieved, and so I sobbed. I buried my face on Shiki's c.h.e.s.t and cried out all my frustrations. I can feel his hands gently patting my head.

"Don't worry little rabbit, I will surely write a more happy life after you win Jeremy back." Eros said trying to comfort me as well.

I stopped crying and looked back at him. "So I still need to win him back from that woman?"

"Well technically, yes. Jeremy still needs to fall for you. That is what we need to correct." Eros said. "Do not worry, the god of love is here to give you advice, yes?" He looked very confident that I giggled. Eros looked reassured after hearing mw giggle.

"Well that will be a lot of work I guess." I said with a smile while wiping my tears away. "Let's start with the easier missions, if that's okay?" I asked.

"Well with a third wheel in your love life, then that will be a little problem." Eros held his chin in thought. "Then why not play cupid for your friends first?"

"Play cupid?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, well on of your girlfriends and a boy you know were also soulmates. But after your fall out with Jeremy, there red string of fate was cut." Eros explained. "Wait let me see their names."

A book magically popped out in front of Eros and was hovering in the air. It was glowing with a pink color. He quickly flipped the pages searching for something.

"Oh, here it is." Eros stopped at one page and read the names. "Geraldine and Christopher."

My eyes went wide. "W-What?" I was shocked. "You mean my best friend Din and Krista's brother Chris?"

"Yep, that's them all right." Eros said.

'So my first mission was to get those two together?' I thought. 'That won't be easy.'
