The Male Lead's Childhood Friend

Chapter 14 - Beautiful Men in Paris (2)

"Franz, viens ici pour une minute." Mr. Delvin called.

"À venir." Franz replied. "My dad is calling. Can I get your number?" He took out his cellphone from his jeans' pocket.

"Oh…okay." I type my number in his cellphone.

Franz pressed the call button and the cellphone on my purse rang instantly.

"Call or text me if you need anything." Franz smiled and left.

"Good looking lad, huh?" Aunty said while watching Franz walk away.

"Well, kind of." I replied shyly.

"Haha, your still young Ana. Why not try and meet other guys while you're here?" Aunty May said teasingly. "You might not know but you could meet your destiny here in the city of love. Well I also want to introduce to you that hot guy next door to your apartment. He is also a hunk you know." Aunty giggled.

"Oh come on aunty." I giggled and took a sip of my coffee.

"Well I am not sure about your next door neighbor, but Franz here is a good kid." Aunty May said with a serious tone. "I met him when he was in his teens and by that time I can see he is a hard worker. He took up business management to learn many things about business with the plan to make his father's bakery store grow. And I believe that he can achieve it in the future."

After hearing aunty's words, I looked at Franz's back. He was busy helping his father with things inside the store.

"I also want to work hard." I said softly.

After some time aunty's phone rang.

"I need to take this call." Aunty May said.

"Oh, it's okay." I said. "I can go back by myself."

"Can you bring these bags yourself?" Aunty May asked looking apologetic. It looks like this call could take a while.

"Don't worry aunty, it's not that heavy." I replied.

"Okay. I will help you to the elevator then." Aunty May was talking in her phone and taking one bag while I took the other.

Fortunately, the apartment was just across the street of the bread store so we arrived in front of the elevator in no time. I pressed the up button and the elevator doors opened in no time. Aunty put the bag she was carrying inside and waved at me. I worded a thank you silently and came inside the elevator.

Once at the fifth floor, I carried the two bags full of groceries towards my door. I stopped just right in front and put one bag down on the floor. I was patting my pockets, searching for where I put my keys when one apple from the bag I was holding slipped out and fell.

The apple rolled away towards the next door. My eyes followed the apple all the way until it stopped right beside a foot. The owner of the foot pushed up the apple using his foot and caught it with his hands.

'Like in the movie Twilight, where Bella dropped the apple from the counter and Edward caught it.' I thought.

I looked up to see who owned that hands and feet, and I saw a tall young man with a slender but firm built. His hair was shiny black, like the night sky. And his almond shape eyes housed onyx colored pupils. And as Aunty May had said, it has a red hue mixed into it. Coupled with thin lips and tall bridged nose, he was definitely a mysterious handsome young man.

"Is this your apple?" The young man's voice was deep and enchanting, it was ethereal. I can't help but think that this young man was not an ordinary human being, more like a god.
