"But it is true Jeremy. I have grown to become so dependent on you that I don't want any woman near you. I want your attention, your time, your affection to only be towards me and me alone." Tears started to fall from my eyes. "Tell me Jeremy, isn't that just me being selfish?"

Jeremy was shocked and become silent. He was speechless for a while.

"You have fallen for another woman Jeremy. I have put all my courage just to give you up. So please give me my freedom." I looked up at him. His eyes were moist and the pain in his face was evident.

"I understand." Jeremy gave a sad smile with a tinge of pain. "I will give you the space you need. But at least tell me your address in Paris or your new number."

I shook my head to deny his request. "I am sorry but I can't. I need to be free of you Jeremy. Maybe after some time, I can see you again as a big brother to me and not the man I once loved."

Jeremy's face wrinkled in pain with my words. I can see his hands gripped hard into fists. I can see he is also hurt with my decision. But I was also hurting inside. I may be spiteful but I feel a little bit of satisfaction from his pain.

'Last call for passenger boarding flight XXX123 going to Paris, please proceed to gate 213 for boarding.' the intercom announced.

"Goodbye, Jeremy." With all my courage, I extended my hand for a last hand shake.

Jeremy stretched his hand out and held mine but he pulled me into his arms unexpectedly.

"I am going to miss you Ana." Jeremy said while his lips touched the top of my hair, making a sweet gesture.

I can feel his arms tighten around my body, as if he doesn't want to let me go.

'Last call for passenger boarding flight XXX123 going to Paris, please proceed to gate 213 for boarding.' The intercom announced once again.

I gently pushed my way out from Jeremy's embrace and looked up at him and forced a smile.

"I have to go." I said with a smile but I can feel my tears trickle down my cheeks.

"I will be waiting for your return." Jeremy wiped my tears with his fingers.

And as a last gesture, Jeremy kissed my forehead sweetly.

I was shocked and hastily took a step back and looked at Jeremy with a shocked expression. He was also wearing a similar shocked face, as if he kissed me unconsciously.

'No Ana, that was just a sisterly kiss. A kiss for a sister.' I told myself while holding my c.h.e.s.t that was in pain.

"Goodbye, Jeremy." My last sentence was said like I would never see him again.

Jeremy's face contorted after hearing it. But before I can see his expression after, I turned and ran away.

"Ana!" I heard Jeremy's voice shouting behind me.

"Sir, you can't enter if you don't have a ticket." I hear an attendant said.

"No, let me go." Jeremy said. "If I let her leave, I feel like I won't be able to meet her again!"

I ran towards the airplane entrance while tears were overflowing in my face. I quickly ran up to the VIP area and found my seat. I instantly took my seat and covered my face with my hands.

"I'm sorry Jeremy. I think I don't want to ever see you again." I said while sobbing.
