With those words, Louis quietly turned over to the next page of the book.

Juliana blinked. If he had read a lot of books, he would naturally know enough information. Louis’s intelligent appearance seemed to give confidence and support to his words.

“У ь юхМл.”

Even so, Juliana recited the magic spell once again as she didn’t want to give up.

The spell burst into nothingness…

Juliana stared blankly into the air, disappointed that her magic had dispersed into the air.

Just why isn’t it working…?

“There are trillions of gold coins in this room.”

Juliana’s eyes widened at Louis’ words. Trillions of gold coins…?

It was worth the living expenses for the aristocrats for several years. She swallowed her saliva at the huge sum of money. She didn’t know who their kidnapper was but he seemed to be someone powerful.

“Then should we get out of this room first?”

“Well…”

“Perhaps this whole mansion…?”

Juliana bit her lower lip as Louis wore an unknown smile on his mouth.

It was a big problem that she, who was a wizard, couldn’t use magic.

Juliana thought Louis’ words made sense.

She didn’t think the plan would be easy.

Louis made eye contact while slowly lifting his glasses. Even though they came to a strange place together, the man looked relaxed and nonchalant by himself.

“Haah…”

Juliana let out a long sigh and opened her eyes.

“Come here and sit down. I’ll see if I can take it off.”

Louis approached her leisurely with slow steps. Juliana looked at the magic bracelet while holding Louis’ hand up. She thought she could get it released more easily than she had felt.

“Try it for once, and hold back if it doesn’t work out.”

While concentrating, Juliana thrust a pin she found nearby in and out of the small hole. If she moved the bent pin several times to a certain angle, click, and the magic bracelet would be released easily.

Juliana’s mouth rose up to a smile. She rubbed her nose while admiring her own ability…..

‘Uh, huh? How come…….‘

“Oh, it didn’t work because there’s no hole.”

Louis did something she couldn’t comprehend.

Juliana stared at Louis, who had a satisfied look, with a stunned expression on her face.

‘I can’t really understand this.’

She shook her head as she gave up thinking.

Juliana soon averted her eyes. She adjusted the red ring on her index finger. She was thinking of using this to unlock the magic bracelet again.

“The ring…”

“Pardon?”

Louis couldn’t take his eyes off the ring that was stuck on Juliana’s finger.

“What kind of ring is that?”

“Oh, it’s nothing.”

No one was allowed to enter a party hall or an imperial banquet with weapons. Juliana had magic in her ring just in case.

The original form of the ring was also able to cut things like a dagger. Juliana had managed to create a ring by herself; a self-protection product for women in emergency situations. She roughly explained its function as she didn’t feel the need to brag about it.

“I see.” He said while still unable to take his eyes off her ring.

Juliana tried to change the subject at Louis’ slightly gloomy mood.

“Rather than that, is there anything to eat here?”

She asked Louis while holding on to her stomach, catching a glimpse of embarrassment on his face.

“Wait a minute.”

He furrowed his eyebrows slightly as if he had not thought about it, and started moving faster than his signature slow walk. Juliana got out of her bed and followed him.

“We have the necessary ingredients.”

Louis said, and found the ingredients in the refrigerated, like it was his own home.

Juliana quickly grabbed a carrot with one of her hands to fill her hungry stomach. Just when she tried to bite the carrot into her mouth, Louis’ hand drew near to stop her from eating it.

“……”

“No, you can’t.”

Louis stole the carrot from Juliana’s grasp.

“Why did you…?”

Juliana stared at him with confused eyes.

“I’ll cook for you.”

“I’m hungry, so I just want to eat…” Juliana murmured.

Waiting for the food to come out was a daunting task for a hungry woman. Nevertheless, Louis went to the kitchen with ingredients as if he wouldn’t back down.

Yes, no matter how hungry she was…. At least, she had to save her noble face. Juliana pouted her lips.

She saw Louis’ handsome back cooking as she sat on the chair. His wide shoulders caught her attention.

Louis’ face, wearing a serious look, gave a cold, cool impression. What would you call it? Should she term it as a hard-to-approach appearance…?

Juliana glanced at Louis’ stunning side profile.

‘Handsome…’

His face was really handsome. He looked good-looking even when she was sober, but he looked extremely handsome when she was drunk. She had definitely been seduced when she offered to spend the night with him.

Anyway, Juliana was amazed by Louis, who cooked peacefully in the current situation. She felt more comfortable getting used to his nonchalant side.

Right, about getting out of here…

It was something to think about after she had filled her stomach.

Taak-

After cooking, Louis served the prepared dish after he finished cooking. It was a  soup made with sliced carrots and vegetables.

He seemed to have prepared the soup taking in mind her stomach, which had been empty in a long time. Juliana sniffed the savory smell while drooling.

“Thank you, I will eat well.”

When Juliana lifted the spoon, Louis stopped her.

“I’ll feed you.”

Juliana’s face was stained a deep red when Louis said those words. They were like a bomb, especially with that calm look on his face. Juliana shook her head while expressing her refusal.

“Are you not going to eat?”

Louis was about to take the soup back with a puzzled look on his face. Juliana grabbed his arms quickly. “No”, she corrected herself. In a hurry, she pulled his magic bracelet.

“Ugh.”

Louis frowned slightly. Surprised, Juliana, who was startled, then hurriedly let the magic bracelet out of her hand.

“Oh, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to do that…” Juliana made an excuse hastily.

“It’s all right.”

Louis casted an indifferent look at his wrist. Meanwhile, Juliana’s hungry stomach was crying for something to eat quickly. Juliana lowered her head in embarrassment.

“The soup is hot.”

Louis, put on a languid smile, then scooped a spoonful of soup and put it near her mouth. Juliana hesitated. She was embarrassed to be fed by someone.

More than that.. Is he fine…? Louis was holding a spoon with the same calm look on his face.

“Phuu, please open your mouth.”

Louis’ pleasant low-tone voice was a voice that could only be heard in a dream. Juliana’s heart melted at his gentle persuasive tone.

… How comfortable would it be for her to be spoon-fed…?!!

Handsome guys were great! It’s better than magic! Handsome guys were the best! As Louis’ handsome face and her growing hunger overlapped, Juliana surrendered with her hands raised up.

“Aahh.”

Juliana opened her mouth slightly and endured her shame.

Okay, okay. There was nothing she could do for this. She brainwashed herself in a desperate struggle to have a bowl of soup.

“You must have been hungry.”

“Yes, a bit…”

Louis smiled brightly as Juliana rolled her eyes while feeling ashamed. He put the soup into Juliana’s mouth like a mother bird that was feeding her. The bowl was almost empty in no time.

“I want to-”

“What?”

What was he talking about when she was still eating? Juliana’s pupils dilated. Cough cough, Juliana’s throat felt sore.

“I’m so sorry.”

She almost made a mistake by spitting the soup on Louis’ face.

“Can I?”

Unlike the shaken Juliana, Louis’ face was normal.

Juliana’s head rang bells in a state of emergency. What, what did he want to do…?

She blinked. There was an option in her head, 1. Red 2. Red 3. Red kept popping up in her head, and her hands floundered in the air.

Whoa whoa, lewd thoughts, please go away!

Louis lowered his face slowly and put his lips near Juliana’s ear. Her body shivered as his hot breath brushed over her ear.

“I want to speak informally to you.” added Louis.

Juliana blinked again, this time in embarrassment. Why did he talk like that while she was eating?

She almost misunderstood because an important word was omitted before that. He should finish his sentences, really.

“It’s rude of you to drop honorifics when we have never met before.”

Juliana cleared her throat. There was a sullen look on his face when she indirectly refused. Louis was slightly displeased by her misleading comments.

“It’s not the first time we’ve met…”

Louis murmured quietly. His hand crept up secretly and rested on top of Juliana’s hand.

Juliana’s heart beat faster. She tried to wrench her hand out of his while feeling a strange sensation in her heart.

But it was stopped by a slow stroke on the back of her hand. Juliana stared at Louis’ hand which was stroking gently while tapping the back of her hand.

“We were so passionate.”

Juliana held her breath as he naturally spat out those words and smiled. She couldn’t avoid his gaze that was staring burning into her eyes.
