Chapter 97 Indescribable Below The Neck

The instant the beam was releasing, Bullseye’s gut feeling was banging and clanging loudly. Despite being unaware of what Leo was doing, an enormous sense of crisis jolted Bullseye like a strong current, causing him to shiver.

Stamping his feet, he bounced and grabbed the fire escape of the apartment, scaling upwards. A white beam passed under him and struck a dumpster by the roadside when he jumped.

The dumpster trembled slightly. On the night of hot summer, the surface of the dumpster formed a layer of frost like a can of soda being taken out of the fridge.

Leo, who was charging, saw Bullseye proficiently climb the fire escape and leaped too while grabbing the same fire escape. Due to Leo’s charging too fiercely, coupled with the heavy mass of his suit and himself, the fire escape let out creaking noises before falling apart.

Bullseye, who already reached the top of another fire escape, glanced at the collapsed Leo and sneered. Then, he climbed to a higher spot like a monkey.

Watching Bullseye nimbly climb the wall, Leo gave up the thoughts of removing his suit and continuing chasing. It was impossible to do so since climbing wasn’t Leo’s forte and he couldn’t catch up at all.

Leo pulled out his handgun and fired at Bullseye, but all of the shots were easily avoided by Bullseye using the terrain.

In a blink of an eye, Bullseye reached another rooftop. Parkouring and bouncing through various apartment rooftops, his figure soon vanished.

Leo at the bottom was disappointed. Bullseye was too slippery like an eel and too cautious. There was nothing Leo could do if Bullseye was bent on escaping!

Bullseye’s timing was too coincidental, Leo had yet to upgrade his equipment. If it was a little later, it was impractical for Bullseye to escape after the Nuclear Microreactor and the Intracranial Transmission equipment were manufactured.

With the Nuclear Microreactor, Leo could suppress Bullseye with his explosive speed and beat the hell out of him, not needing to waste this much time.

Losing Bullseye’s track, Leo helplessly left the scene. The streets of Hell’s Kitchen returned to their initial silence with the absence of the game of tag between Leo and Bullseye.

Although Leo’s gunshots startled some of the people to wake up, none of them were dumb enough to check the situation. After all, those kinds of people had long kicked the bucket.

Leo wasn’t in a hurry to return yet since he believed Bullseye’s pants were scared off and not daring to return to El Building. He strolled back as he pondered his following measures. After some consideration, Leo was convinced that Bullseye’s sudden appearance was most probably under Kingpin’s order.

But why did Kingpin order Bullseye to infiltrate El Tech Company?

A while ago, Kingpin had attended El Gen-1’s product launch and wished to invest in it. But it was declined by Leo since at that time Leo had guessed Kingpin’s intention.

Relating to Bullseye infiltrating El Building and immediately rushing to the Technical Department afterward…

A lone answer instantly popped up as Leo muttered, “Is Bullseye ordered by Kingpin to steal El Gen-1’s manufacturing technology?”

This time, Leo was truly livid!

As the saying goes, breaking one’s fortune is equivalent to murdering one’s parent.

Leo was depending on El Gen-1 to start his business yet this Kingpin dared to rob his cash cow’s core technology. It was intolerable! Therefore, Leo believed Kingpin couldn’t be left alone and if a chance was presented, Kingpin must be removed!

Presently, Leo had passed through two blocks. No one was around under the faintly illuminated street.

Clatter!

Rubbles rained from the rooftops dozens of meters in front out of the blue and crashed on the street.

Leo immediately lifted his head, staring at the rooftop and surprisingly finding Bullseye’s striking bald head.

The baldy right now was hopping through the apartment rooftops and the rubbles just now were loose bricks that fell due to his stomps.

Other than the baldy Bullseye, behind him was a figure in a red-tight suit with two Ds embroidered on his chest. It was El Tech Company’s Special Legal Consultant, Matt Murdock!

Seeing Matt chasing Bullseye while hopping through several buildings and occasionally doing a spin. Matt’s movement was even more smoother and flexible than Bullseye’s. Currently, Bullseye was dejected, after barely escaping from Leo’s grasp, he met the guy behind him just as he was leaving Hell’s Kitchen.

Before Bullseye carried out the mission, Kingpin had warned him that El Tech Company wasn’t a simple place and their boss, Leo, wasn’t a common person. This made him extra vigilant.

Although he was confident, he wasn’t arrogant. Since the big boss Kingpin himself had warned, then he must be extra careful.

Cautiousness saved his life. If he was being careless, the first wave of bullets from Steam would send him to the afterlife instantly.

At the moment, Bullseye extremely regretted his actions. Before this, he was having a free and happy life overseas but he was tempted by Kingpin’s money. Thus, he accepted this mission.

Now see what was going on. A metal-clad monstrous freak was hot on his trail dozens of minutes ago and now he bumped into Devil of Hell’s Kitchen!

The freak just now was barely acceptable. Strong, fast but lacked flexibility. Bullseye, fortunately, escaped unscathed in the end.

However, the Daredevil who was chasing him was a different story.

Daredevil’s speed and flexibility were not beneath Bullseye’s and after being trained by Bucky during this period, his combat capability also greatly increased.

Bullseye wasn’t an utter coward by any means. When he first met Matt, he already knew Daredevil was Hell’s Kitchen’s vigilante.

Seeing Daredevil rushing at him, out of his cultivated habit, Bullseye tossed a series of steel spikes at Daredevil without uttering anything.

Due to the distance being too far, Daredevil effortlessly avoided the spikes. Immediately, he launched the first strike at Matt, engaging in combat with Daredevil. But Bullseye was inferior to Matt in every aspect, directly being suppressed.

Fearing to enter a stalemate with Daredevil, he decisively turned around to leave. Thus, the scene Leo witnessed just now.

It was evident that Bullseye’s constitution was weaker than Matt’s. After hopping on several rooftops, he was caught up by Matt again.

Except for the four large water tanks on the corners of the rooftop, the middle of the rooftop was spacious. This was where Matt caught up with Bullseye and instantly launched an offensive on Bullseye.

Whipping his leg at Bullseye, Matt’s kick was avoided by Bullseye with a crouch and received two steel spikes aimed right at his face in return.

Matt’s exceptional hearing instantly detected the steel spikes’ trajectory. Leaning his head to one side, the steel spikes pierced through the darkness, landing on an unknown spot.

It was out of Bullseye’s expectation that a short-distance sneak attack was easily dodged by Matt. Bullseye’s initial assaulting stance immediately became a vulnerable spot.

Using this chance, Matt kicked while Bullseye abruptly crossed his arms to block it. Half-kneeling on the ground, Bullseye was gasping for air.

Finally, Matt had the chance to talk with Bullseye, “Who are you? Why did you attack me just now?”

The tired Bullseye almost puked out a mouthful of blood!

So you aren’t from El Tech Company that’s hunting me down! If I didn’t attack you just now, you won’t even chased me this far, right?! Bullseye grumbled in his heart but his body still remained in the half-kneeling position, not daring to move an inch.

In reality, he was tired like a dog after being chased by Leo and Matt. He was using this opportunity to rest before running for his life.

Explain?! Impossible! It was impossible to explain anything now.

Leo was standing on the ground and due to the perspective problem, he could only see Matt and Bullseye’s heads from afar. Anything below the neck was indescribable.

Based on the two skulls’ exchanges just now coupled with Bullseye’s skull suddenly vanishing and Matt’s moving mouth as if speaking something. It was visible that in this frontal fight between two skulls, Matt had the upper hand.

Leo couldn’t help sighing, it truly was a matter of attributes.

Working like a horse but he failed to put a single stain on Bullseye’s cloth while Matt, who couldn’t defeat him, easily beat the skull out of Bullseye!

Suddenly, Leo slightly envied Matt’s and Bullseye’s excellent balance traits. They made hopping on rooftops as easy as walking on flatland!

Leo wondered whether or not it was too late to begin training…
