Chapter 81 Nuclear Microreactor Technology

Otto’s laboratory.

Leo, Bucky, Otto, and Peter were all present.

As Bucky was uninterested in most of the stuff in the laboratory, he focused on acting as a bodyguard.

Otto and Peter were introducing Otto’s research project to Leo, hoping to gain Leo’s favor.

“Dr. Octavius, you’ve mentioned on the car you’ve successfully developed a prototype. Can I have a look at it?”

Otto led Leo into a small partition in the laboratory. In it was a workbench with an awesome-looking prosthesis arm on it that was similar to Bucky’s metal arm.

The end of the mechanical prosthesis was connected to numerous wires and the wires converged to a piece of helmet-like equipment.

“Mr. Erwin, this is the prototype I made. I named it Neural Arms. The neural transmitter helmet can freely control the mechanical arms’ movement…”

Followed by Otto’s explanation, Leo approached the workbench and minutely observed the Neural Arms in front of him.

At the same time, Leo’s Mechanical Force began surging as he activated “Mechanical Force Analysis” and “Mechanical Force – Insight” simultaneously.

“It’s Nuclear Microreactor Technology, using the conventional material from the nuclear reactor, Uranium. However, I successfully miniaturized this technology after I solved its radiation and instantaneous power output problem.”

Although Otto put it casually, Leo was stunned to the core.

This achievement was simply on par with future Tony Stark’s!

Leo hurriedly asked, “Do you have an individual energy module? Can I have a look at it?”

“Right now, the only one I have was installed in the mechanical arms, after all, materials for nuclear fission are expensive. To prevent any radiation, the entire reactor was hermetically sealed. Building a microreactor from scratch is pretty burdensome but I can remove it from the Neural Arms since its energy module is detachable.”

“Then hurry up and let me have a look!” Under Leo’s constant urging, Otto removed the microreactor from the Neural Arms and placed it in Leo’s hands.

The Nuclear Microreactor was a large and heavy cubic metal block.

Its exterior was black-colored which was aesthetically miserable and compared to Tony’s future invention of the Miniaturized Arc Reactor, it was thousands of miles behind.

“What about its power?”

“Maximum instantaneous power is 30 million joules per second and the output can be adjusted to prevent energy waste.”

Not only was its appearance poor, but even its output was also one-hundredth of the Miniaturized Arc Reactor the future Tony made by hand.

Although the Nuclear Microreactor was incomparable to Arc Reactor, it was way beyond the Miniature Highly-compressed Battery.

Leo naturally would not miss such a great gift.

Therefore, using both “Mechanical Force Analysis” and “Mechanical Force – Insight”, he attempted to analyze the Nuclear Microreactor in his hands.

During his free time, he would use Mechanical Force Analysis to analyze various kinds of things from smaller objects such as coins and pens to larger objects such as cars and ferries.

Thus, Leo had long encapsulated the rules of using Mechanic Force Analysis.

Analyzing more technologies consumed more time, Mechanical Force, and mental strength.

Analyzing more complex objects also similarly increased consumption.

Analyzing blueprints consumed the least while analyzing a physical object consumed the most.

However, when analyzing a physical object, there was a little trick to speed up the process and that was to separate the complex object into multiple parts. So the cost of analyzing each part would be relatively smaller.

Now Leo was just analyzing the Neural Arms’ power source, so the time required was around one-tenth of the “Neural Arms” itself.

Hence, it was reasonable.

Analyzing the Nuclear Microreactor didn’t need much time, so Leo told Otto he wanted to spend some time carefully studying it and continued silently analyzing it.

How could Otto figure out that there would be someone stealing technology as Leo did? It was unstoppable.

Soon, seven or so minutes went by. The Nuclear Microreactor was stolen by Leo.

Leo roughly estimated under full power, the reactor could sustain for around ten hours.

Therefore, according to the systems’ verification, the Nuclear Microreactor was real. Otto wasn’t boasting at all.

However, with this black technology, why would Otto be distressed for money? Shouldn’t he already have a lot of money in his pocket?

Leo detected there should be some problems but he wasn’t in a hurry to point them out. Understanding the Neural Arms came first.

Thus, after learning the Nuclear Microreactor’s blueprint, Leo imperturbably returned the heavy metal block to Otto. 

“This power source was well-made, I like it very much.” Leo casually complimented and began focusing his concern on the other technology.

“Dr. Octavius, You’ve mentioned the Neural Arms are controlled by intracranial nerve signal and the reaction speed is even faster than a fully-limbed human. Can you demonstrate it for me?”
