Regardless, Wakanda’s lax and disorganized way of life was precisely what Leo wanted to see because it made his actions smoother.

“Leo, I searched the whole garden and only found three mature heart-shaped herbs,” Bucky said as he approached with three herbs in hand, chosen for their maturity and maximum potency. He handed them over to Leo.

With a wave, Leo took off Viper Mark VIII and shrank it, fitting it into his belt. He then took the three herbs and brought them to his nose, taking a sniff.

Sure enough, in the fresh air, there was a subtle sweet fragrance that permeated his nostrils. As Zuri’s father, Badu, stated, this was a sign that the herb had reached its maturity.

“What about their petals?” Leo asked.

“As you’ve instructed, I ground and buried them in the garden’s soil,” Bucky replied.

Leo nodded and continued, “The growth status of each herb is meticulously recorded by the priests. So, by plucking these three herbs, it means we’re exposed. Tomorrow morning, the priests will discover the missing herbs when they arrived at the temple. So, we can’t stay for too long. We must clean up everything tonight and leave Wakanda before sunrise.”

Bucky nodded eagerly as his eyes were shining, gazing at the herbs intently as if urging Leo to hurry up and process them.

Grinning, Leo grabbed the herbs in his left hand while his other hand slid over his belt, retrieving two glistening objects with a bluish-purple glow. One of them was a mortar made from raw Vibranium which he hurriedly made earlier in the afternoon, specifically for grinding the herbs. While the accompanying piece was a thick pestle, also emitting the same bluish-purple glow.

When he was making them, his thought was relatively simple. He thought, since the herbs were nurtured by the Vibranium, will using raw Vibranium to grind them might enhance their effects?

Even if they couldn’t enhance the herbs’ effect, he could easily dismantle the Vibramiun mortar and pestle and repurpose them without any waste.

So he decisively went ahead with it.

Bucky was unaware that Leo had indulged in using billions of dollars worth of Vibranium to create a set of mortar and pestle. His eyes gleamed as he excitedly took them from Leo’s hands and examined them closely from every angle.

After admiring them for a bit, Bucky began to grasp Leo’s intention, “Are you planning to use this Vibranium mortar and pestle to grind the herbs, hoping to increase their effects?”

Leo answered with a nod.

“But will it work?” Bucky remained skeptical.

Leo then swiftly snatched the Vibranium mortar and pestle back from Bucky’s hand and handed him two of the herbs. As for the remaining one, he simply tossed it into the mortar, “It’s a jackpot if it works. Otherwise, we’re not losing anything!”

With those words, Leo gripped the mortar on his left and the pestle on his right, vigorously grinding the herb.

“Water, water!” Bucky closely observed Leo’s actions while exclaiming hurriedly. “Add some water and keep grinding.”

Pausing the grinding motion, Leo held the mortar in his left hand while producing a bottle made entirely of Vibranium from his belt with his right hand. Surging his Mechanical Force, the Vibranium lid of the bottle automatically rotated open.

Bucky was dumbfounded by Leo’s actions and exclaimed, “What in the world is this?!”

“This is a bottle of pure natural snow water that I purposely collected from the top of Jabari Mountains this afternoon,” Leo explained, giving the Vibraniium bottle a slight shake. “As for why I’m using a Vibranium bottle to hold the water… Well, I want to enhance the effect a bit.”

“I think you’re even more superstitious…” Bucky muttered under his breath.

Ignoring Bucky’s comment, Leo proceeded to pour about half of the snow water into the Vibranium mortar and Bucky did not attempt to stop him. Then, he continued to grind with force, and before long, the herbal mixture was thoroughly processed in a liquid.

It was peculiar that after adding water, the previously crushed herb completely dissolved into the liquid, leaving no trace of residue.

The resulting liquid in the mortar had a faint blue color, was semi-transparent, and appeared pristine without any impurities. It resembled a cocktail of sorts.

“So, who goes first? You or me?” Leo looked at Bucky.

Glancing at the pale blue liquid in the mortar, Bucky’s eyes shone, and volunteered, “I’ll go first.”

Leo didn’t mind the order and held the mortar with one hand, gesturing towards the sacred pool with the other, “Alright, go and sit in there first.”

Bucky complied and sat in the pool as instructed.

“Take off your shirt,” Leo recalled some details from the movie and added.

Bucky hesitated for a moment but eventually followed the instruction.

Next, Leo handed the mortar to Bucky, who quickly gulped down the entire concoction.

“It’s a bit sweet,” Bucky wiped his mouth and returned the mortar to Leo.

Taking and setting the mortar aside, Leo didn’t reply right away. Instead, he stared intently at Bucky, making the latter feel uneasy.

“What’s wrong? Haven’t you seen such well-developed pecs before?” Bucky asked nervously.

“Your pecs are turning blue,” Leo stated expressionlessly.

Hastily looking down, Bucky saw his chest was indeed beginning to emit a blueish-purple glow, revealing the intricate network of veins.

Simultaneously, the bluish-purple glow extended downwards while his neck and face which he couldn’t see were already engulfed in the glow.

“How do you feel now?” Leo quickly asked.

“A bit warm, and somewhat painful,” Bucky frowned.

“Lie down!” Leo said sternly, “I’m burying you now.”

“Why does that sound so weird…” Bucky mumbled.

Leo smirked and without further explanation, he forcefully pushed the glowing Bucky into the sand before swiftly scooping handfuls of fine sand and splashing it over Bucky’s body. Within moments, Bucky was completely covered by the sand.

Initially, Bucky struggled slightly, but once the sand covered his entire body, he ceased all movements, leaving only the faint undulations of the sand as evidence that he was still alive.

With a pair of widened eyes, Leo intently studied the mound of sadness as if trying to see through it and examine Bucky’s body. However, his eyes laced the ability to see through objects, and he gained no insights.

Suddenly, an idea popped into his head as he focused his gaze on the sand mound, activating his Mechanical Force – Insight.

The next instant, his vision flickered and immediately switched to the Mechanical Force Vision.

In this vision, he could clearly see a semi-transparent glowing figure in the shape of a person beneath the sand mound. The figure was rhythmically pulsating, alternating between brightness and dimness.

Inside the glowing figure, there was a rapid movement of bluish-purple lights.

He had used his “Mechanical Force – Insight” to examine Bucky before, so he promptly noticed the significant increase in energy within Bucky’s body compared to previous instances.

It appeared that the herb was starting to take effect, powering up Bucky’s body.

As time passed, the movement of the bluish-purple lights gradually slowed down, and the visible changes in Bucky’s body became less pronounced.
