Chapter 189 Leo’s Storage Belt

TL: Kyous

In a blink of an eye, a week flew by.

In El Building’s basement, Leo in the tentacle arms was dancing around, diligently working on the Arc Reactor. Building this thing took a considerable amount of Leo’s time, but the good news was in just another week, the Arc Reactor finally would be completed!

By then, he would miniaturize the Arc Reactor with the Pym Particles, then he wouldn’t be worrying about the armor’s energy issue.

If one were to continuously do a thing repetitively without stopping, then one would soon feel bored by it and easily succumb to fatigue. Therefore, in these seven days, Leo took some time to design a little gadget in his free time besides working on the Arc Reactor.

The gadget was a belt that was three-finger wide, black in color, made of metal and leather, hollow internally, and possessed thirty-two thumb-sized slots on the outer surface.

This belt, he named it Storage Belt.

That’s right, this belt was a portable storage Leo created using the Pym Particles. Although the coiled-up belt was about the size of a palm and weighed less than a kilogram, its real size was as huge as a medium-sized warehouse. And once activated its enlarging function, then accommodating tens of or even hundreds of large-sized warehouses wasn’t a problem at all.

Currently, the belt was wrapped around Leo’s waist and Viper Mark VI was stuffed in one of the thirty-two slots in the belt, and looked exceptionally cool.

By the time he built his army of war machines covering the sky, all of those could be stored within the small belt. And if Leo encountered any enemy… Just thinking about it was too thrilling!

During these seven days, Leo wasn’t the only one working. Just the day before yesterday, Ol’ Tom had rented a huge warehouse for Leo, and yesterday, he bought a piece of empty land in New York’s suburbs and contacted the construction team.

After Leo finished designing the architectural plan, the construction of the second base could officially begin.

Now that he was all the wealth and material, it was hard not to be powerful.

Thinking of this, he tightened another screw and summoned an iron beam with a wave of his hand while looking for the right angle for the beam. Out of the blue, a system notification appeared before him.

【“The Undying H.Y.D.R.A.”’s completion rate increased by 1%. Current completion rate: 99%.】

However, Leo didn’t reveal any surprised expression. After taking a glance, he closed the system panel and confirmed the iron beam’s position before continuing to tighten the screws one by one.

When Bucky killed Sinthea, the mission’s completion rate had increased from 69% to 80%. And during these seven days, as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were being investigated, the spies were sent to the Security Council’s martial court one after another. Those that should enter the jail had entered while those that should be executed had been executed.

Apart from that, the escaped H.Y.D.R.A. spies were gradually being captured by the military. As for those who weren’t captured, they had fled overseas using some unknown means.

That was how the mission’s completion rate in his system slowly increased in these seven days, and now it was close to being completed!

Nevertheless, there were some questions lingering in his mind. According to what he previously understood, he needed to destroy every H.Y.D.R.A. base and important figure in the Marvel Universe before the mission could be deemed complete. And in the entire world, lots of H.Y.D.R.A. agents and countless bases were still around. He had just eliminated the H.Y.D.R.A. in the United States and yet the mission was almost complete?!

Regardless of how he racked his brain, he couldn’t think of an explanation so he decided to toss this matter aside. When the mission was completed, surely the system would provide an explanation.

As time passed, Leo controlled the tentacles and moved around the incomplete Arc Reactor until dinner time.

One needed to eat to have energy and Leo was nowhere near the state of surviving without eating, or more accurately, he never would reach that state…

Because in the Marvel Universe, as long as one was a carbon-based living being, no one could abstain from eating forever!

Thus, Leo stopped the work at hand and went out to look for a Chinese restaurant and ordered a meal of steaming dumplings. He ate two whole baskets or around fifty dumplings to his satisfaction.

After having a full stomach, he went to the washroom before having a stroll. Exiting the restaurant, he trudged into an empty alley. Then, he looked around and lifted his jacket, swiping his right hand on the storage belt and Viper Mark VI was in his palm.

In an instant, he was equipped and flew into the sky.

Six minutes later, he arrived at the entrance of S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ. He had come and gone to the S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ numerous times and was extremely familiar with it, even more than Fury!

After all, Fury couldn’t be bothered to research which air duct would end up at where and which mouse hole would pass through which offices…

Soon, he went through a shortcut and looked for Natasha and Fury separately, briefly exchanging information and making sure of their safety.

During these seven days, all of the six hundred agents had been investigated by the Security Council’s investigators. Those who were on Dr. Zola’s list were ultimately discovered to be a part of H.Y.D.R.A. without any exception and they had been dealt with accordingly.

As for the truly innocent S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, they had resumed their jobs and some of them even received a promotion and pay rise. The entire S.H.I.E.L.D. began functioning once more as if a machine receiving its energy.

Regardless, it was still missing many parts and probably required several months or even years to replace for it to return to its peak state.

But for some reason, Natasha, Fury, and Pierce’s results had yet to be determined. So, Natasha was still imprisoned in the dormitory while Fury was in the detention room.

Learning this news, Leo slightly frowned. Then, he skillfully darted into an office and saw the bickering Peggy and Lindsay. It was already lunchtime yet they didn’t seem to have any intention of lunch as they were still furiously arguing.

When Leo came to the office in the morning, General Ross was still there. But now, the women were the only ones left in the office and God knows where General Ross went!

Perhaps he couldn’t stand it anymore and went to get lunch himself…

Without General Ross intermediating as the third party, Peggy and Lindsay evidently were unable to remain calm. And at the moment, they were discussing the matters about Fury, Natasha, and Pierce.

Peggy stated, “Miss Lindsay, the investigation team had ascertained that Agent Fury, Agent Romanoff, and Director Pierce are clean. Why do you still not agree to release them?”

“So far we haven’t discovered any problem with them. So far!” Lindsay stressed, “You should be more familiar with who the old man on the TV a few days ago is than me. Since he said Pierce and Fury are H.Y.D.R.A. members, then it must be the truth!”
