Chapter 123 Bored Tony in the Middle of the Night

TL: Kyous

The entrance Leo entered from was sealed off by him with spider webs. Right now, people should be crowding there. However, the basement was spacious and evidently, there was more than one entrance.

Nevertheless, Leo wasn’t prepared to play by the rules. Searching for a suitable wide area, he shot webs onto the ceiling with both of his hands. With a leap and the momentum from yanking the webs, his body did a 180-degree flip and crashed into the ceiling with both of his legs. A huge hole was instantly formed in the ceiling.

Piercing through the hole, Leo immediately smashed through a window on the first floor before swiftly disappearing.

This escape plan, not only was unimaginable but also incredibly fast.

Most of the guards were still pointing their guns at the basement’s entrance and couldn’t even react at all. Some of them managed to react. The instant they lifted their legs, they forcefully halted their footsteps. Although it seemed like this monster didn’t kill anyone, who could be certain he wouldn’t kill?!

Anyhow, one charged over might not be able to stop him. Even if one did, beating him was out of the question. Might as well pretend unable to react.

After a minute, Leo appeared at the deserted alley where he got out of the car. The promised time with Ol’ Tom was to let him drive back to the alley after ten minutes. But from Leo’s departure to arrival, only six minutes had passed. He still needed to wait patiently for several minutes.

“Nee~naw~~ Nee~naw~~”

Urgent sounds of sirens reverberated from afar. The London police force’s speed was commendable. Currently, a couple of police cars were already driven through New Oxford Street.

Fortunately, Leo’s was clad in the armor of black and it wasn’t eye-catching in a deserted alley. So, the passing police cars didn’t notice him.

Leo’s stunt in the British Museum today probably would be placed in tomorrow’s headlines. As for the official explanation of the theft, he had no idea about it. Since every camera didn’t capture Leo’s figure and his display in the museum was too overwhelming, no one would believe it if everything was reported factually.

Ultimately, the released news was that some infamous robbery group was responsible for the theft.

In fact, Leo wasn’t afraid that he would be exposed as no one truly saw his face. Even if they did, in the Black Panther movie, Erik and Ulysses Klaue robbed the British Museum in broad daylight, yet they still weren’t caught at all!

That was set in the year 2018 of the Marvel Universe, an era with tons of high-tech stuff lying around.

Now was still the year 1992, only nobody would believe Leo would be discovered!

Thinking about this, a light bulb suddenly lit up in Leo’s brain. With certainties that the current British Museum had the Vibranium pickaxe, which meant Black Panther’s plot undoubtedly exists.

Then, the current time was the end of September 1992. According to Black Panther’s opening scene, wasn’t this the year when King T’Chaka killed his brother, Prince N’Jobu?

It was uncertain whether or not the death of N’Jobu had occurred. If it did occur, Leo believed he could send someone to bring the orphaned Erik back to Hell’s Kitchen and let Bucky nourish him. If this chance could be put to good use, then Erik might be the key for Leo to obtain more Vibranium from Wakanda in the future.

In Leo’s plan, he was going to build a legion of armor that was flying all over the world. These bits of Vibranium were far from sufficient.

Therefore, finding the orphaned Erik now might be a fair move. If he sent someone to locate Erik and found out the King hadn’t killed his brother yet…

It’s all the better!

He could patiently wait for the King to kill his brother and immediately bring Erik away, saving all the intermediate troubles. As for asking Leo to save Prince N’Jobu, that was virtually impossible. He didn’t want to face the Wakandans with the high-tech spear and shield in their hands.

Leo still wished to live a couple more days! Wakandans were typical barbarians with cannons. Reasons were thrown out of the window during a fight.

But to locate Erik wasn’t an easy job either. There was an issue as Leo only recalled N’Jobu and Erik lived in California, but not the specific place. However, he remembered N’Jobu’s partner, James, was a spy from Wakanda. With these names, as long as he send more people and spent more time, there was a high chance to locate Erik.

Making up his mind, Leo was prepared to make arrangements for this matter after two days he returned to New York.

“Nee~naw~~ Nee~naw~~”

Several more police cars with blaring sirens headed to the British Museum through New Oxford Street. Leo leaned his body against the alley’s wall to avoid being discovered accidentally.

Meanwhile, he sighed internally, ‘Tonight, London’s police will have a sleepless night.’

Out of the blue, leaning against the wall, Leo heard someone whispering, “Happy, why do you think so many police went to the British Museum? We haven’t taken any action yet!”

“Boss, stop fooling around. Let’s go back quickly. Clearly, something happened at the museum. If they capture us, saying we are here to steal stuff, it will be a problem!”

“We ARE here to steal stuff! Megan isn’t selling to us, then I’ll just steal it from him! I already replicated Lila’s work ID. Entering the British Museum tonight will be a piece of cake!”

“S*it! You’re for real?! I thought you were just fooling around!”

“Of course, it’s real! Also, Happy, stop cursing in front of your boss. It’s rude.”

“My boss, don’t cause any trouble! With just two of us, entering the British Museum is impossible.” Happy was rather helpless. “Just look at Lila, how hot is she?! Didn’t you say you’re going to play a few more times? Then, why are you here in the middle of the night?!”

“It was her first time. She couldn’t handle me and had long fallen asleep. I was just bored, okay?!”

The eavesdropping Leo, “…”

As expected from Tony Stark. What courageous, fearless, and ballsy guts!

Tony and Happy were still whispering to each other, but Leo didn’t wish to listen to them anymore. Because the conversation had somehow derailed to gods know where…

Besides, to avoid the police, the duo somehow approached Leo’s hiding spot. He leaped out of his spot, appearing before them all of a sudden. He was prepared to greet them and scared them away.

“Who are you?!” Happy, a professional bodyguard, instantly reacted as he reached out his arm to shield Tony.

“I’m Zhao Riti… Hiss~”

Thud!

【System Warning! You’ve been attacked by a strong electric current. Judging…

Physical requirements met, judgments passed. Paralysis effects overcame.】

It turned out that while Leo was still speaking, Tony extended a high-voltage taser under Happy’s armpit. The taser ejected metal wires and latched onto Leo’s Viper. Flowing through the metal probes, an instant surge of high-voltage current paralyzed Leo’s body.

Leo was caught off guard and was shocked instantly. But the very next moment, he recovered. However, he wasn’t in a hurry to take any action as he wished to see what Tony would do next.

Seeing Leo already plopping on the ground, Tony released the taser’s trigger and reprimanded Happy, “Happy, why are you chatting with him? Just look at him, wearing all black and carrying a shield on his back. No matter how you look, he’s definitely not an ordinary person!”

Tony approached Leo and pulled out the taser probes. He kicked at Leo’s leg and Viper let out a clunking noise. With an astonished face, he exclaimed, “This person’s weird suit is made of metal?! What is this? An armor? This isn’t a sci-fi novel!”

Happy finally comprehended what just happened and hurriedly pulled Tony aside away from Leo. “Boss, what’s that in your hand?”

The duo’s discussion seemed to be on a different channel.

“A high-voltage taser! Don’t worry, it’s covered in an insulating layer. It won’t shock you.” Tony thought Happy was afraid that he just shot from underneath Happy’s armpit. He casually explained while the taser was automatically reloading.

“I’m not worried about that…” Happy explained. “Although it was slightly terrifying, why didn’t I know you have such a powerful weapon?”

“I’m a Mechanic! I built this myself. Besides me, no one else knows about it!”

The duo’s conversation was getting more and more off-track as if completely forgotten about Leo who was lying on the ground.

“Since you have such a powerful weapon, then do you not need me anymore? Am I losing my job?” Happy’s focus was placed on some weird spots.

“No way, you still can block bullets for me.” Tony patted Happy’s shoulder.

“Erm…” Happy was speechless. Darting his eyes around, he finally saw the lying Leo and pointed at him, “What about that guy? He’s not electrocuted to death, right?”

“No, he’s just taking a nap… Probably!” Tony also was unsure.

“Never mind that. Let’s just go and pretend nothing ever happened. Look at his weird outfits, he’s probably the person the London police wanted.”

“Happy, hurry up!” Tony finally felt some fear. Happy nodded and swiftly shielded Tony, heading towards New Oxford Street. That was where their race car was parked.

“Hold it!”

All of a sudden, a low bellow rang out behind the duo’s back.
