The Legend Of Dragon Land

Chapter 18 - Teacher and Disciple

– Before the gold hair man, Angus bowed his head to a standard ninety-degree angle: "Teacher, please accept me as your disciple."

***

2 P.M. Artificial Forest of Base Number Five.

A gold-haired man was standing opposite a pale-blue teenage boy. The man was over one meter eighty tall, the boy was over one meter seventy tall, both wore training uniform.

This image looked quite harmonious.

Yesterday, after Eugene explained to Angus about the mechanics of internal power deployment, the two agreed that later Angus would practice with Eugene after the morning physical training. Class K would practice with the three teaching assistants, of course Eugene still monitored and controlled the general situation of the class.

This was exactly the intention of the Ministry of Education when arranging for each class one main teacher and three teaching assistants.

"You already know how to manipulate internal power and turn it into fighting skills, so we get s step shortened. Now you need to find out what style of your energy."

"As I said yesterday, our energy comes not from the outside but from the internal power of the body. So it's important to understand your energy style and how it operates."

"Which race are you?"

It was clearly that Angus was hesitate for a second, then he frankly replied: "I'm Metis."

Eugene nodded, not surprised at the answer. He continued to ask, "So which race or which style are your parents?"

Angus shook his head, looking at the ground: "I don't know. I have no parents. I was adopted."

This time Eugene was obviously stunned.

But before he could react, Angus raised his head, continued his words: "But I do know what is my energy style."

"Oh?"

"Water and... also Fire." Angus replied, "Sorry, I wasn't honest with you yesterday. It was just because... what I went through was a bit unbelievable. But now I'll tell you."

After returning to the dorm, Angus did consider carefully. In order for Teacher Eugene to teach him well, and for himself to be able to study well, firstly Teacher Eugene had to know his situation and his strength. So he decided not to hide it anymore.

Anyway... if teacher Eugene could become a homeroom teacher, his position in the Army or Government would definitely not be low. After he knew that 'incident', he probably knew what to do.

Angus took a deep breath, calmly started his story:

"The thing is... a year ago, I encountered an incident. My soul was exchanged with a human in another world, called – the Earth."

Eugene: "..." What the hell?

Could you start it a bit more slowly??

I could understand every single word you said, but when putting them into a sentence, I did not understand anything!!!

But Eugene was not confused for too long, because after that statement, Angus slowly recounted the incident. Short, concise, but informative enough for him to visualize the whole story.

Someday nearly a year ago, without any abnormal or warning signs, Angus woke up in a strange place, inside the body of a strange person. Needless to say, at that time, he had how much panic, how much fear, how much skepticism into reality and science!

After calming down, he was announced that he was on Earth, another Space – Time dimension, existing parallel to his world Pacific.

The race that dominated the Earth was also human, but they were a bit different from the Dragon Race: They did not transform, their original form was the inherent human form.

People on Earth were divided into two races: The Magician was humans capable of using magic, with an average life expectancy of about two hundred years. The remaining race was Human, having no magic power with an average life expectancy of around eighty.

Angus was at the home of two extremely powerful Magicians: the Mage Le Truong Quan and his wife, Thai Thien Y. The body that his soul been on was one of the disciples of Master Truong Quan, named Le Thien Minh.

At that time, Angus was only eighteen years old, his physical strength was only average (compared to young dragons of the same age), he had not be able to activate his internal power, he could not use magic as well. In short, except for a smart brain and a bunch of theory knowledge gained from his childhood reading habits, then he had nothing else.

Master Truong Quan asked Angus to become one of his disciples, taught him how to practice and use 'magic' in a Magician way. Perhaps because the soul and body were not from the same person, or maybe due to age restrictions, at the beginning Angus could not perform any 'magic'. However, he still persisted with his goal. He practiced both magic and physical training every day, finally after some months, he finally succeeded.

Angus lived on the Earth for almost a year, then for some reason – again, without any warning signs – his soul returned to Pacific, inside his body as before.

After returning, he heard Grandpa Hubert and other grandparents in the village recounting that in the time he was on Earth, the disciple named Thien Minh of Master Truong Quan also experienced a very lively life in the Hills village – of course, in his body.

Since he had returned safely, he guessed that the other person might have returned safely. Two weeks later, he enrolled the military training at the Base Five.

"Everyone in my village knows about this. But because it was so abnormal, everyone decided to keep it as a secret. However, one person in the village, Mr. Silas Ellis Dermot – the Principal of the Military Technical Academy also knew about this. As he works for both Army and Government... it can be said that I have no concealment to our nation."

Angus finished the story, then quickly glanced at the man before him.

Just see Eugene was silent, his face did not show any special emotion except the eyebrows slightly narrowed.

Eugene was in a complete silence.

A very mythical story. But from this boy telling, it sounded surprisingly reasonable. The order of contents he told, his attitude when he told, naturally created a feeling of invisible trust.

Eugene knew the name Angus just mentioned.

Mr. Silas E. Dermot, who was the Principle of Military Technical Academy, also the "once in a hundred year" weapon-making genius of Pacific.

In the past, during the civil war, Mr. Silas was a trusted right arm of Sir Keith D. Wilson, along with a number of other historical names, all standing on the side of Arthur Nolan, finally succeeded in unifying all the Dragon clans, leading to the establishment of Pacific Kingdom.

The Army and the Government were also established, with the key positions were chosen from Arthur's military forces.

Mr. Keith was appointed Prime Minister, from a talented general c.u.m military counselor to become the head of the supreme organization in the Pacific political system: Pacific Parliament.

And Mr. Raymond Maximus – the close friend, also best comrade-in-arms of Mr. Keith – became the head of Pacific Army as the Commander in Chief.

After a while of hesitation, Mr. Silas chose not to follow Mr. Keith but to serve in the Army, working in the military engineering department, and then became the Principal of the Military Technical Academy. Even so, the relationship between the two was still very good.

Later, for some unknown reasons, the two heads of the Army and Parliament suddenly got distant, from a perfect duo in the wartime turned into two opponents regularly quarreling on the meeting table. Gradually, the lower positions of the two organizations also began to have conflicts. In this context, Mr. Silas having a good relationship with the Big Boss of Parliament obviously received doubts and hostility from some people of the Army.

In fact, Eugene was belonged to the Army. But sometimes he himself did not agree with the Army's working.

He had met Mr. Silas a few times, not many, but enough for him to realize that, behind the insane weapons-making passion was his burning enthusiasm and concerns for Pacific.

Among the people who were always fighting for the power and benefits from both Army and Government, in fact, there were still many people who were struggling for only one goal: National Peace.

Like Mr. Silas. Like him.

Angus story was not a joke.

The discovery of the existence of a parallel world opened up opportunities for research, and also opened up a new risk of war... But so far there had been no news of this in mind, it turned out that Mr. Silas chose to keep this as a secret. If even Mr. Silas knew without speaking, Eugene chose to trust him.

Eugene looked at the boy in front of him: "So why are you telling me today?"

Angus answered honestly: "I think it would make it easier for you to teach me. Besides... I am the one who ask for your help, I think I should be honest with you."

Eugene nodded with a satisfied smile, then asked: "You said your energy was Water and Fire?"

Angus nodded: "Yes, but my Fire power... is a little different from everyone."

After saying that, he reached out his hand: "This is the old way I've learned."

An equilateral triangle seal gradually appeared on his right hand. At the center of the equilateral triangle, a few sparks flashed, then burst into flames. It is worth mentioning, the shape of this fire –

The root of the fire was blue, gradually turning to white, yellow in the body, and the apex was orange red.

Surprise expression was clearly shown on the handsome face of Eugene.

"And this is the way you said yesterday." Angus said, while opened his left hand, after a great effort, finally a flame burst in his hand. It was a flame with a light blue root, similar to the one on the right hand. However, with a closer look, it could be seen that the fire on the left hand was very close to the palm of his hand, as if it originated from the hand skin. And it did not have any equilateral triangle seal, either.

Angus continued, "The time on Earth, I could not use 'magic' very well, but I was still able to perform a flame like this. Then I tried to separate the blue fire. It could be separated, but it didn't last long."

Eugene narrowed his eyes. Only now did he discover that both of Angus hands had many bruises and abrasions.

Well, the fact that before the conversation yesterday, this boy did not know how to perform the Dragon technique yet.

So... it was last night he practiced by himself after returning room?

But last night he only showed this kid for some seconds!

How fast was this perceptibility!!

In fact, it was just because the book written a bit difficult to understand, and Angus was affected by the method of Magician, so he could not understand.

But after talking to Eugene, even it was just a few sentences, Eugene did point out the most important difference between the two methods of Magician and the Dragon clans. Angus was intelligent, also had a background from before, obviously he could learn by himself.

Eugene suddenly asked, "What do you usually do after training time?"

Angus replied: "I do meditation, or read books. Sometimes I practice power control." He paused for three seconds and then added: "Following the method of Magician."

Meditation was a good way of practice.

In the time living on Earth, Master Truong Quan also asked him to meditate regularly, as a way to calm down and feel the internal power inside the body and the 'air' flowing in nature. Then Master Truong Quan gradually taught him the Magician's method, finally Angus was able to use 'magic' with the two types of energy: Fire and Water.

Although he could only perform some simple skills, Angus was very happy. Very few young dragons could control internal power before the age of twenty!! (Of course, at that time he had not known the differences between 'magic' of Magicians and 'internal power' of Dragon man)

But after his soul was exchanged again, returning to Pacific, he was again falling into the stage not be able to control internal power as before. Heaven knew that how dismayed he was. Fortunately, he had Grandpa Hubert who was always there to encourage him, and finally, after two weeks, he was able to use 'magic' again.

After arriving at the base, because the intense physical training needed so much effort, Angus refrained from the d.e.s.i.r.e to practice 'magic', maintaining a good eating and sleeping habits to keep his fitness at the best state. Until he got familiar with the training categories, he started planning to spend some time a day practicing magic, and also read more strategies and fighting books. That's why he was not flinching when fighting with Hawley!

It was only until now that Eugene got a full understanding of the boy named Angus.

For most of freshmen all over this country –

The noisy ones were usually impulsive, conceit, and self-proclaimed strong. Those who were a little more quiet showed good attitude, and studious.

But overall, all were a bunch of young dragons had not yet understood how this world operated. All were taking their first wobbly steps into life.

But Angus was different.

As an adopted Metis, the process of growing up of this boy was certainly not easy.

Also, before a.d.u.l.thood, he encountered a big incident – But this event not only could not destroy him, but also helped him improve his strength and train his calmness and stability over time.

In a strange world, learning by himself, growing by himself.

Compared to his peers, he soon got something about how to live and survive in this world.

In a moment of staring at the blue-haired boy in front of him, Eugene made his decision.

"Do you want to become my disciple?"

Angus was stunned. Disciple?

Eugene cleared his throat, explaining: "In fact, all students of Class K are my students. However... pedagogy career has a small internal rule. Soldiers with a rank of Colonel or higher or Scholars with a PhD or higher may have some 'disciples', who will have deeper training than common students. So, do you want to become my disciple?"

Angus was a little nervous: "Teacher, you... don't mind that I had a master?" (➡ Of course, Master Truong Quan on Earth)

Eugene comfortably replied, "Anyway, the chance for you to meet your master for one more time is not very high. Also, in our place, you don't need to call me 'master', just call me 'teacher'."

Angus looked at Eugene, then slowly smiled with shining eyes.

Before the gold hair man, Angus bowed his head to a standard ninety-degree angle: "Teacher, please accept me as your disciple."
