Lady Biyu walks in with a silk veil on her face. She has grown more beautiful than the last time I saw her. I watch with interest as she takes her place at the centre of the hall.

"My god, is that Lady Biyu?" I hear someone whisper, "I heard she doesn't take clients anymore…"

What? Lady Biyu doesn't take any clients? That is really interesting, but why? I have to listen harder.

"I heard from my third cousin's friend that she had fallen in love and doesn't take anymore clients. She only plays music now."

"Really? Who did she fall in love with? It has been said not even Prince Chang could sway her. Who is this person that could rival even our handsome prince?"

"I don't know, but I would like to! It's has been over a year now…"

They both go back to giggling. I sigh, something tells me Fa Mulan had more of an effect than I thought. I can see the 5th prince staring intently at her and I shake my head. Lady Biyu was never even mentioned in the book, and her appearance is causing a lot of changes, which is partly my fault.

We all give good attention to her playing the Guqin, and her talent could clearly be seen. With the all the princes giving her full attention, I saw a lot of girls giving Lady Biyu looks of contempt. I feel like laughing at them. They are only children and they feel jealous of a grown woman.

Even though Lady Biyu's music was beautiful, I can't help miss the modern music. I am dying to listen to some rock or punk pop. When the song finally ends, the princes praise Lady Biyu.

"That was simply beautiful! It was like the light of heaven was made in to music" praised Tian Mo.

"I agree brother," said Tian Chang. I can see him looking at her, and he looked at her with l.u.s.t. I shake my head, 'Lecherous bastard' I think.

After she was escorted out by a eunuch, the head eunuch came into the hall to make an announcement. Following behind him were five a.d.u.l.ts. The first one was a short chubby man, following behind him was a beautiful woman, and behind her was a strict looking woman. Then entered a man wearing military armour and lastly, in walked an elegant, cheerful man. The eunuch introduced them.

"This is Teacher Pei, he will teach you literature," he said pointing to the chubby man. The man bowed slightly.

"Next is Madame Hangfei, she will teach the young ladies how to embroider and do arts," he said pointing to the beautiful woman, who also bowed slightly.

"This is Madame Giu, and she will be your etiquette teacher," he said gesturing to the strict looking, unsmiling woman.

"Sir Shinglu will be the young men's fighting arts teacher," he said gesturing to the military uniformed man, who curtly nodded.

"And finally, Teacher Kang, who will teach calligraphy." he said gesturing to the elegant man, who gave a slight bow.

"Your lessons start tomorrow morning, right after morning meals, your maids will direct you to lessons. The Emperor expects great things from you all."

We all say, "We thank the Emperor for his blessings" and bow. The eunuch walks out with the princes and teachers following behind.

At least everything in this scene was the same as in the story. I recognise the teachers from the story, and my personal favourite was Teacher Kang. He was an honest man and cared about all his students and pushed them to their best. He was also kind of attractive. Laing however was the biggest b***h to him, and at times when I was reading the light novel, I wanted to rip her hair out because she thought she was better than him. However, he still treated Laing fairly. The rest of them were good teachers too, and Wu Roqing, like a good protagonist worked hard to make them proud.

I don't mind letting Wu Roqing steal the spotlight, she IS the main character after all. We all told to go back to our courtyards and I walked with Shie and Sui while they discussed our new teachers.

We enter our rooms only to find that the atmosphere was tense and a group of girls with Li Erong as their leader were having an intense show down with Roqing. Roqing was standing there with a folded blanket in her hands and neither party was budging.

Once I walked in they snapped out of it and Erong just smiled at me and said, "Oh, Lady Song, you came! We were just getting ready for bed."

And with that, the argument dissipated, and everyone went to their individual spaces. It seems that I have a lot of power here as my father and brother have high positions in court. Roqing's family also held high power, but Roqing was too easily bullied into silence. I knew that the conflict was beginning, and I still went up to Roqing.

'Hey, Lady Wu?' I asked, 'Are you all right?'

She was startled that I was speaking to her. "L-lady Song! Just call me Roqing! I am fine thank you!"

With that she bowed and walked away. I'm surprised that she is timid, even though she was timid in the book, she had a smart brain. She just needs power, and when she gets it, I don't want to be on her bad side.

I lay in my bed and after some time, the maids came around to blow out our candles, and only this one time, I let Chi Lou do it, much to her relief. I just lay in bed for a long time, contemplating a lot of things and I think about Kira again. It's been a year, and I didn't have time to think about her, and just suddenly thinking about her makes me sad. I guess I'm not a typical transmigrator. In all the light novels I've read, most of the main characters forget about their past life. I can't seem to get over my death or my life before. I also remember my boyfriend, the one that I was dating at the time of my death. I really thought he was the one, and we were really hitting it off.

But I guess the universe really hates me…oh well. Thinking about all this, I slowly drifted off to sleep.
