The Imposter Princess

Chapter 17 - Madison Yin

Yin XinYi instructed Thomas drive her back to the hotel. In the car, she looked down at her key card that Mr. Allen had given her. The card was blank except for her name on it. The name on the card was not Madison Yin. It was XinYi Yin. Originally, it felt odd seeing her first name before her surname but after a while she paid no heed to it.

Yin XinYi is her legal name.

Yin XinYi is the disowned adopted daughter of the Yins. She is the second miss of Yin Hai's family. Yin XinYi was framed and was used as someone's scapegoat. Yin XinYi was weak. She had no power, she had no one on her side. She was naive in thinking that they wouldn't abandon her.

On the other hand, Madison Yin has no relations to the Yins or anyone of Country 86. Madison Yin is strong, both emotionally and physically. She will not let anyone stop her. Madison Yin will clear Yin XinYi's name. Madison Yin will achieve everything that Yin XinYi wishes for.

Why?

Because, in the end, Madison Yin is a persona of Yin XinYi.

Yin XinYi will embody Madison Yin until she is everything that Madison Yin is. Until Yin XinYi is Madison Yin and no one can tell the difference.

Once Madison Yin has everything that the old Yin XinYi did not have, once all of their eyes look to her in envy, she will remind them that Madison Yin is Yin XinYi.

And Yin XinYi was a woman whom they had discarded, framed, and betrayed. She will watch them suffer. She will watch them regret. She will watch them come to her. Then she shall do the same. She shall turn away. Because, Yin XinYi is Madison Yin and Madison Yin has no relation to the Yins.

Yin XinYi returned to her suite to pack up. She neatly folded all of her clothing and placed them into her suitcase. When she was prepared to leave the room and check out, she made sure that she had not left anything before closing the door of the suite.

Yin XinYi traveled down to the main lobby to check out. She paid with the ten million dollars that Yin Hai had given her. The bill was staggering but Yin XinYi didn't even bat an eye. After all, that money was not hers. As part of the bill, she also paid for the last time she would use the chauffeur service, which was to send her to her new home.

When Yin XinYi arrived at the apartment complex, she bid the chauffeur farewell. She strolled into the building with her suitcase. Mr. Dell, the doorman waved to her and Yin XinYi responded back, likewise.

After riding the elevator to the top floor, where her penthouse was, she used her card and punched in the default passcode since she hadn't set it up yet. The first thing she did when she walked in the door was turn to the touch screen console on the wall. It was connected to her door and cameras. It was also connected to her lock. With the assistance of the console, she registered her fingerprint and new passcode in.

After she finished, Yin XinYi grabbed her suitcase and using her home's personal elevator, she went up to the fourth floor where the bedrooms were. Yin XinYi walked to the west wing or the floor, where the master bedroom and walk-in closet were.

Yin XinYi placed her suitcase in the closet but didn't bother unpacking. She was going to donate them all after Beacon shipped her the boxes filled with her purchases tomorrow.

Yin XinYi went down a flight of stairs to the third floor where her study was. It was multiple rooms, connected, where she was going to work. Yin XinYi went into one of the subrooms, where high-tech equipment laid.

She sat down on the chair and turned on the computer. As she waited for the computer to load, her mind wandered.

The art auction is in a week. Auctioning costes quite a bit of money. I had recently bought new clothes, a new apartment, and furniture. I also must buy

a car to commute to places, a luxury car too. I shall custom order a car and visit the department designated for switching Country 86's license for one of Country 1's.

Yin XinYi tilted her lips downwards. The amount of money she was spending was extravagant. Currently, the money that she was earning passively was not enough. She would either have to actively find a job or invest more to keep up current lifestyle.

Yin XinYi went to an online stock trading website. She quickly logged in and started to buy and sell. She had only earned back a small fraction of what she had spent. Luckily, her semi-annual dividends would add more money to her bank account, soon.

Yin XinYi stared at her computer screen. She would have to start investing in companies that had relations with Country 86 now, in order to achieve what she wishes for in a few years.

I need to invest in a company beginning to expand into Country 86. Unfortunately, none of my previous investments are planning such an endeavor, yet. I may have to resort to angel financing a brand new start up company in Country 86, instead. It's better not to invest in a rising star, too many eyes are upon it in Country 86.

Although her methods kept her anonymous, it was better to be careful. After all, there were many people out there, with much better connections and resources than her.

Yin XinYi continued to fiddled with the stock market, buying and selling. She gathered intel and researched many companies. She was in no hurry to buy stocks in a new company just yet. If anything, she had patience and time.

It was only after the sky turned dark, did Yin XinYi realize that she neglected her body. She hadn't eaten since noon. Since it was too late to buy ingredients and cook, she would have to resort to dining out.

Therefore, Yin XinYi took a taxi to a rather ill.u.s.trious restaurant, one called Summer Sky.
