Two miles away from the Internet cafe, Rory diverged from the computer generated path. She went into a coffee shop and sat down in the far back.

The coffee shop had a warm feel to it and was dimly lit, therefore the shadows provided her face with a small amount of cover.

Unhurriedly, she grabbed the menu from the middle of the table and acted like she was reading it. She read over the coffee they had in the shop with an extremely slow pace. Every once in a while she would glance at the open window in the front of the coffee shop.

The people that walked across we're all different, however when she noticed two men crossing the street her eyebrows raised in confusion. Only two? She was rather sure she heard the pattern of three consistent foot steps behind her.

Rory looked past the two men for a moment to see another man leaning against a wall. The wall had a slight cover over it, therefore the man was on a call while watching the coffee shop door.

His entire bearing held a sort of toughness that could only come from years of experience. Even while watching the door, he blended in easily with the crowd.

Due to the heavy down pour of rain, Rory couldn't see his lips clear enough to read what he was saying on the phone, however she could identify that he was speaking Russian from the way his lips were moving.

It didn't take much brain effort to find out who sent him.

So Knox had someone trailing her? That was fine. Going to a coffee shop wasn't something abnormal and the more he saw her doing normal teenage things, the better.

However, who sent the ruffians? Rory looked at the two men right outside the coffee window with an inquisitive gaze.

The young men were mediocre looking with gelled hair and black suits. They both had lean, malnourished bodies and cheeks that slightly caved it. In addition to the paranoia they showed in their shifty eyes, Rory could tell they were drug users.

They walked with a slight limp in their step and showed no regard for the people around them.

The man on the right side of the sidewalk kept his hand of his belt threateningly. The man of the left had his phone pulled out only looking up every once in a while to search the faces of the people around them.

When they couldn't find what they were looking for one of the men kicked the window the wall of the coffee shop angrily. His actions were violent and self destructive. A few angry words were said before the calmer one pointed toward the coffee shop and said something.

The one who kicked the wall seemed to calm down and nod before they both made their way to the coffee shop door.

Seeing their interactions, Rory felt a headache start to appear. Did the Hynes really send these two kids after her? They couldn't be much older than her body at the moment.

The two men walked up to the cashier and the calmer one placed his phone in front of the cashier's face.

Since she has already seen what she wanted to it was about time she left. Rory chose this specific cafe because she noticed a window on its side wall.

The window presented a blurred view of a bathroom and seemed to be openable. Going through it would make losing her trackers easy.

Rory closed the menu and placed it down while the two ruffians were distracted. The table she occupied was right next to the bathroom, therefore she could leave at any second.

At the front of the cafe the men continued to harass the cashier, "You dare to lie to me? This is the only possible place he could have went into. Try telling me one more time that he didn't come in here!"

The cashier was waving his hands in an attempt to cool the situation. "I really didn't see him pass by here! Now I'm going to have to ask you to please order or leave, you are blocking other customers from ordering."

When Rory heard the cashier's response, she wasn't surprised. At the time she entered the store she chose to close her umbrella after she passed the cashier. He couldn't have gotten a clear view of her face.

"You think I'm stupid don't you?" The angry one had leaned over the cashier's table. He waved his hand toward the cashier.

"Come here. I have something to tell you about being stupid."

Him leaning over the cashier's desk was the best time for Rory to leave without any one noticing. Therefore, Rory got up from her table and started to open the door to the bathroom.

Right when she was about to step inside she glanced once more at the people at the front.

Suddenly she stopped and her pupils dilated.

The man leaning on the counter had reached to the back of his pant line while he used his other hand to wave to the cashier. The lift of his shirt gave Rory a clear view of what he was carrying in his pant line for a small second.

It was a pistol.

But not just any pistol. It was a specific military grade one called the pp-9. Outlawed for civilians due to the fact that it could be used as an automatic.

It was still shiny and clearly new, which meant that likely it was given to him for this specific mission. Someone had put a hit out on her.

The man was already showing signs of being unstable if he brought out that gun Rory didn't want to imagine what could happen to the people inside of the store. She had to stop him from drawing out the gun.

Rory moved before her mind did as she walked quickly back to her seat.

The man already had his hand around the gun and could take it out at any second, therefore her only option was to distract him without letting him know that she saw the gun or alarming him too much.

After all, he wouldn't have much reason to hold back if she saw the gun anyway.

With fast moving hands, she grabbed the menu in the middle of the coffee table and slammed it down on the ground. The plastic menu created a sharp noise, which brought the attention of nearly everyone in the shop.

The man looked at her, turning his body toward her direction. Due to his movement Rory could no longer see the gun. However, his arm was clearly tense and positioned behind his back showed that he hadn't yet released it yet.
