The God's Throne

Chapter 9 - THAT IS MINE!

"Are you sure I will be safe?" Eria said worriedly. More than himself, he was worried about his loved ones. If he were to fall here, he knew that his parents, his sister and even the whole village would perish in the hand of the Holy kingdom. Furthermore, he still hadn't yet taken his revenge against those aliens who had killed all his friends. And, he didn't know what they were up to; they could be planning on taking over the spirit realm and planning on killing the innocent.

Aptho sighed upon seeing Eria's expression; however, he didn't let it influence his thoughts and belief.

"I am not sure either. I have been ninety-nine percent accurate about divination and fortune-telling. From what I have seen from my divination, you have a forty percent chance of survival. Although I understand you don't want to die here, I can't let you go. If you don't stop the thing that's under there, the whole Wang empire will suffer annihilation in a second. That means your loved ones will die too. I would do it myself, but I don't have that strength; I would only be sending myself to death. Also, ingest this pill; it will allow you to breathe underwater for a whole day."

Wang kingdom held more than ten kingdoms under its control. The Holy kingdom had a population of hundreds of millions of people, and other countries had more. It amounted to almost ten billion, and Eria couldn't let so many people die under his watch. Furthermore, he could die from it.

"Sigh, guess I have no choice," Eria said as glanced around him to discover that the golden wolves gazing at him with shining eyes. He knew if he were not to complete the quest and run away, he wouldn't live to tell the tale. He took the pill from Aphlo and threw it into his mouth.

"Off you go," Aphlo said while pushing Eria towards the soul essence pool, "I hope you succeed."

The invisible wall still blocked Eria, but as soon as he used the golden wolf art, the invisible wall seemed to no longer exist; it was like passing through pressurized air. Eria passed through it with little difficulty.

"Gushhhhh"

All of a sudden, the mana within the pool gushed into Eria. Eria's cellular components were overflowing with mana due to the sudden change; making him go from the peak of the second sky to the borderline of the third sky.

However, that wasn't the stop; more mana billowed as Eria absorbed to his full capability.

"Boooom"

Like a lightning bolt, a sudden sound came from Eria. The breeze around him turned into a whirlpool, and the mana revolved at the top of it. It surrounded Eria and let him slowly absorb it. It slowly flooded through his pores and slowly opened the meridians that were inside of his body.

Previously, the meridians were smaller than one cell thick so they couldn't transfer any mana, but now that they were opened wide, mana was surging throw each one of them. And, as they slowly connected parts of his body, Eria felt a sharp rise in strength. The mana coursed through his body. It traveled along the torso to his leg, from his legs to his hands, and from hands to his head. This action strengthened his body and made him feel twice as strong as before. The locked, profound memories inside his soul also surged into his brain, making him more aware of the true nature of the world.

Eria had broken into the rank of beginner mage, third sky. Although he couldn't be called a genius, he sure was at the level of standard fourteen years old in Holy kingdom.

"What is this corrupted, evil nature aura."

Eria realized that his body now harbored some of the corrupted mana which formed due to the white light. However, he didn't panic; instead, let more mana inside his body. After making sure that his body couldn't hold any more, he activated the technique of gods.

"Despair god cultivation technique."

A stream of pure, godly mana suddenly came out from Eria and invaded the corrupted mana, turning them into normal ones. Although it was called a stream, there were only ten or so particles of godly mana. They were created by using god's soul power so they were remarkably powerful.

"Now time to see what's under," Eria said as he dove into the pool. He continued for hours before he reached the sea bed. The pressure at the sea bed was almost ten times more than at the surface, which almost made him suffocate.

Moreover, Eria could barely move; however, he forced every inch of his body parts to move to the center of the pool. He had to put his life on the line; otherwise, he would die with many regrets.

Expanding his energy made him severely exhausted, but the mana transmitted by the pool gave him enough strength to move on. Furthermore, it would repair the damaged part of his body and strengthen them. If one didn't know about his mission, they would be assuming that he was training his body in the harshest way possible.

Shortly, he was at the center of the pool. However, it still took him thirty minutes to see the traces of the pagoda. Although it was a short period of time, Eria questioned himself if he was in hell. He felt like someone would beat him up as he continued to take each step.

"Ohmmm"

The ivory light still hadn't died down, but instead seemed to be getting stronger. Seeing this, Eria was confused, angry and filled with sadness. Although, he himself didn't know why.

"What's that black light," Eria said as he squinted his eyes, and sharply glanced at the white light.

He could see the traces of blacklight mixed with the white light. It was more appropriate to say that the origin of the white light was forcing dominance onto the origin of the black light. Eria could feel familiar feeling just from glancing at the black light.

'I need to get closer and examine it. Perhaps, that light might be the solution to this dilemma,' Eria thought as he headed towards the pagoda. The pagoda was nine stories high and was radiating an ancient aura which seemed to amount from millions of years of existence. The pagoda was embedded with standard and heavenly crystal, which powered the vast barrier around it. As Eria's eyes lined from the bottom to the top, he felt like he was glancing at a heavenly treasure, moreover, a sealing treasure.

Once again, he used the golden wolf technique to pass through the barrier. He arrived at the first level of the pagoda where he found mountains of non-classified low-level crystals. This amount of wealth slightly shook Eria. However, he didn't display any greed. Instead, he walked up the stairs. His destination was the ninth floor, so he didn't take any rest and moved along with hidden thoughts.

As he moved up, he realized this place held more than what seemed to catch the eyes. It was better to say that this pagoda had its own world. Each level had a different world which was hidden from Eria's eyes.

However, Eria didn't care. As he was on the eighth floor, he realized that the world was sparkling die to high mana and spiritual concentration. Moreover, there were huge piles of heavenly level crystals lying everywhere. Unfortunately, they were all corrupted with foreign energy. One of the ways to get rid of it was to use Eria's godly mana to purify them, but it would require him years to refine one.

Eria's eyes flashed slightly, but he resisted from taking any crystals. He moved up to the stairs and opened the door to the ninth floor.

"Whosssh"

Suddenly, a gust of wind and ivory light came from the surrounding, nearly blinding Eria. But, Eria resisted it by protecting his body with the golden wolf art. He slowly opened his eyes and was faced with two spherical crystals. One of them was white while the other was black. As Eria glanced at the black crystal, a feeling of sudden nostalgia came from his soul.

He glanced at it for a while, before his face underwent a significant change. Tears of droplet nearly leaked out of his eyes, but it immediately went along with the stream of mana which was enveloping him. As he lost his cool, he shouted in a loud voice, "That's mine. That's f.u.c.k.i.n.g mine!"
