The God's Throne

Chapter 7 - Fire essence pool

"Keep on following me; don't stray around randomly even for a while. Because if you leave my side, you might die within a few minutes," The magical creature said emotionlessly while guided Eria towards the center of the forest, "Furthermore, don't anger any of my clansmen once you see them; they aren't as calm, collective and merciful as me."

Eria couldn't help but put a severe face. When he was five, he had heard the story about one golden wolf massacring a whole village to show dominance. At that time, it had frightened him for greatly. However, that was when he was a young child and had his memory locked.

The two figures ran through the verdant, and spiritual: grass and trees like a whirlpool, at a greater speed than any first level magical beast. Eria was finding it hard to keep up with the magical creature, but he still tried his best. He didn't want to be looked down upon so he used his quickest technique- Speed dash to make sure he didn't get left in the dust. He was ashamed of himself as he followed the mysterious little creature before him using almost every single method at his disposal. However, he wasn't aware that the one that actually ashamed was the little magical creature.

The little guy had never met a second sky beginner mage who could move faster than a peak first-class magical beast. Slowly turning his head to look at Eria, he gave Eria another in-depth look. The magical creature had a sudden change in the impression of Eria. The beast started to respect Eria after seeing his resolution and his real strength.

Having had a sudden thought, the magical creature smiled cunning and moved at a greater pace. He started to move quicker than any first sky second class beast alive, leaving a gust of wind behind.

He moved at that speed for a few seconds and said, "Do you know the origin of that light?"

However, the beast didn't hear anything in response. Rather annoyed, he said with disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e," can't you hear me or are you deaf?" as he turned around. However, he couldn't see Eria behind him anymore. In his eyes, Eria seemed to have suddenly vanished.

"Help!" The magical beast could hear a cry of misery, and immediately knew it was Eria. He headed back in a flash, and to his surprise, he saw Eria entangled with tree branches. The branches were stretched out like limbs and had an eerie aura around them, making Eria uncomfortable.

"Guess you didn't hear my warning," the beast muttered, "However, it also my fault for trying to act cool." After saying that he looked at the ten-meter tree which had rough skin, and was utterly leafless, which give one impression of a demon. "Boy, that's a humanoid cultivating tree; they are weak against thunder attack. Try using one against the branch you are currently on. I will freeze his conscious for you."

"Howlllll!"

The magical creature howled loudly after that, completely immobilizing the humanoid tree. Even Eria was slightly affected; however, he soon snapped out of it.

Without giving another thought, Eria chanted, "Oh holy heaven. Pierce the world skull with the golden thunder - The Lightning abyss. "

As soon as he finished chanting, the mana around the world interacted with his own. A frizz of electricity flowed around him. Soon it congregated around his arm, making it look like thousands of violent eels roaming around their habitation. A sizzling sound soon resounded as Eria threw a lightning strike at the branch that was currently holding him like a delicacy.

The lightning cut the branch like soft butter; however, that wasn't the end to it. Slowly, it started to burn the entire branch, and soon, the whole tree was devoured by a blazing fire, yet it didn't produce black smudge. Instead, a bright white light started to turn into a pool of red liquid gradually. The pool of crimson liquid was similar to blood: bright and hot; however, the crimson liquid was overflowing with fire essence unlike blood.

Eria was baffled and confused; his face twisted from happiness to discomfort in an instant. The pool of liquid made him feel extremly warm. Eria felt as though temperature around him was increasing at an exponential rate. He backed away due to the risl potential danger, but the mysterious magical creature walked towards the red liquid without any change in expression.

"This pool of liquid you see is the melted standard flame crystal. Flame crystals are scarce and are used for many different purposes, such as powering hand-made monster you say before." The magical beast glanced at its figure that was mirrored by the liquid and smiled. On a whim, he dropped his head towards it and s.u.c.k.e.d most of it in seconds. He growled with satisfaction and said, "They are beneficial towards our body as well." In that instant, the temperature dropped to normal, removing the discomfort Eria was feeling.

However, Eria wasn't shocked but rather was puzzled. Since natural Gods bodies were made of immortal crystal, he knew that elemental crystal existed and also knew that they had great powers. As a natural god, he knew how useful and dangerous they were. However, he never once heard about man-made monsters, so it bewildered him a bit.

"You can probably intake this amount without worrying about side effects," The magical creature said as he used his mana to control the liquid. There were only three drops of the liquid left. Although there were only three drops, it was still able to melt steel let alone Eria's flesh.

However, Eria didn't hesitate to accept the magical creature's kindness. He opened his mouth, and the blood-red liquid followed through his throat, burning it in process. It quickly burned the meridians in his body, and soon it burned him inside out. The process of burning was no fun; it was similar to being put on fire.

Although that was the case, Eria didn't scream out loud. Instead, he used his strong willpower to make sure the elemental crystal's mana was guided towards every nook and cranny in his body. This included blood vessels, nerves, and even his spinal cord.

"Creak!" Suddenly, the burnt skin and scorched part of his body peeled off. What replaced them were stronger and more durable body parts. Moreover, not all of the elemental crystal was used up. There was still some of it left.

The magical creature could feel a stronger presence from Eria once the entire process was complete. "Good, now let's go," he said as he started to once again run towards their destination. Less than a minute had passed since they encountered the humanoid tree, so they didn't waste much time.

Eria followed the magical creature silently. Eria suddenly felt like he owned a favor, so he resolved to help him. He followed him until they reached near a river that was five meters wide. As he glanced around, Eria felt he had entered a new world. The magical creature started to speak once he was in this 'new world'.

"This river you see before you contain the essence of the souls of the creatures that died in the hundred beast forest. It follows towards the center of the forest, where... you will see. It's better to look than hear. There is a barrier in here which isolates this place from any physical creatures that have ill intentions."

The magical creature seemed proud as it held its head high and said, "And. I am the king of this place."

"Oh, so that's what it was." Eria suspected that they had entered a new dimension, but it didn't seem it was the case. However, he threw the whole barrier's mystery in the back of his head and looked deeply at the mysterious creature and said, "Hey, I still don't know your name."

The magical creature sighed once he perceived that Eria was uninterested and unexcited about entering the world he ruled. He said with a sad voice, " My name's Aphro, my clansmen call me king Aphro."

Eria's eyes suddenly widened once he heard the magical creature's name. Aphro. That was because it was the name of that guy. The Rebirth God... King Aphto - Regulator of reincarnation.
