The God's Throne

Chapter 3 - God's energy

"Ohh! I guess they are more skillful than I initially thought," said Eria as he ran through the bushes, "Looks like these two chasing after me are standard knights."

This world, also known as the Gods' plane was filled with mana and spirit energy. They were both almost the same kind of energy but with slightly different properties.

However, only gifted people could feel this type of energy and grow strong.

"So slow," complained Eria as he felt his foot's muscle strength draining as he kept on fleeing. He was slightly irritated as he had now awoken a part of the soul which dominated all beings. To experience being so weak wasn't a nice feeling.

"Swish," The two figures behind him were much faster than he was. They covered hundreds of meters in a few seconds. Compared to them, he was as slow as a snail.

"With this pitiful spiritual energy and mana, how am I supposed to fight against an entire army?"

Eria wasn't sure how he was going to handle the situation. If it were only two people behind him, he was sure he could somehow manage it. But, to take down more than a hundred people with the trash body he had was more than just hard; it could even be said to be impossible.

"Speed dash!"

Eria applied one of the essential spiritual techniques known as the Speed Dash to advance quicker. If he were to be caught without trying, he would be embarrassed to death. While running away, he would take a handful amount of substance like sand from his bag and sprinkled it whenever taking a slight break.

"Swish"

The two figures didn't give up even after seeing Eria's speed. Rather, they seemed calm about the whole thing.

After somewhat like five minutes, Eria had traveled a couple of miles yet they quickly caught up with him.

Currently, Eria's spiritual energy was depleted by more than a quarter. After forming a plan while fleeing, he was sure that wasting energy was the last thing he should be doing.

"So you gave up on running away," The two figures behind Eria were currently smiling thinking that they had everything in control. Which of the army knight wouldn't? Against someone who was fourteen to fifteen years old, there was no way an a.d.u.l.t would take them seriously.

"I guess I have no choice but to give up. You guys will probably kill me after I get caught. However, before that happens I want to ask, why are you chasing me? Why are you guys here? There is nothing precious in this land, and yet, you guys seem to be seeking for something." Eria acted a bit frightened as he said those words.

"Kid, we don't have time for that, and we aren't stupid. Do you think we would expose our plan just to satisfy your curiosity?" The knight with white armor seemed to be a bit impatient.

On the other hand, the one with the black armor, who had a kind face looked at Eria and said, "Well, it's yours and your villagers' bad luck that you guys have offended the king of the Holy dynasty. In response to the humiliation we suffered last time, we have come to destroy your village."

"Lies! There is definetly more to that!" Eria thought as he got in a fighting position. He knew there was much more to this than being offended. If a king were to be offended and kill everyone for one simple matter, he didn't deserve to be a king; he would be thrown off the throne before he sat on it.

"I wonder if I can use that with tiny God energy I have left?" Eria questioned himself as he saw the two figures ahead of him trying to make a move.

"Despair art – Evil eyes!"

All of a sudden, space around Eria distorted, and a dark figure appeared behind his back. The dark soul behind him had similar features to Eria; the only difference was the height.

The body behind him was even more significant than a typical house.

"1st eyes – Despair!"

Dark clouds started to loom above the two knights as a shadow-less thunderbolt started to shoot off from the dark soul's eyes.

"What is that?" The two knights were frightened to death upon witnessing something out of the world. To see God pop out of nowhere was more than just rare.

"Zap!" The attack landed on the knights. It didn't burn them; instead, it poked through their pores and got inside their consciousness.

"Ahhhhhhh!" The two suffered the wrath of Eria as the attack finally took effect.

The only reason Eria was confident in defeating the two-person before him was because of the spare god energy inside his body. The little God energy he currently had allowed him to contact with the law of despair.

"Suffer on the hands of the innocent you have killed!"

Like Rin, who had life energy, Eria too had a bit of despair energy inside of him. Unlike Rin's power, it couldn't be used to heal or cause physical damage. It could only be used to produce mental block for enemies.

"Kill… me!"

"Kill… me!"

The series of chanting of negative words started to chant from the knight's mouth as hundreds of dark souls surrounded them. The dark souls were the enemies the two had killed in their entire lifetime. The chant didn't come from the knights but rather from the dark souls themselves.

"It's not going to last long. I might have to head on to the village, and form a plan." Eria produced a dark smile as he moved away from the two knights. "Anyway, although I can't end you guys due to my puny strength, my dear friends can. Even an entire army wouldn't last against them, so good luck."

Eria took out a handful of salt-like substance from his sac and left it by the side of the knights. He then fled the scene with a quick pace.

After a couple of minutes, the two knights regained their senses. They had an in-depth look of fear on their eyes. However, as a standard knight, they both jolted their body and stood up.

"Let's move. I want to kill that bastard. I will kill the entire village by my own hands." The black armored knight screamed as he felt humiliated. As a knight, he hadn't ever felt so mortified.

"I will kill half of them, you kill the other half," The other knight couldn't bear the humiliation too. He wanted to soak his hand in blood no matter how many he had to kill.

"Howl!" As the two were ready to move back to their group, hundreds of shadow figure surrounded them.

The figures had vicious teeth, soft white fur, and big ears. They were currently merely smiling as they saw their prey standing there with a frightened expression.

"Alpha Wolves!" The two knights were once again in despair as they saw the pack of wolves circling them.

After a few minutes, the only thing left was a few corpses of wolves and a few grunts of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. Apart from that, nothing was left, not even the dead body of the two knights.
