The God's Throne

Chapter 28 - Stealing the ore!

Eria felt as though he was glancing upon the God of cowardness. Nevertheless, he had a more important job to do; trying to act normal. However, his natural appearance wasn't sufficient to go unnoticed in his current predicament.

Since nearly ninety-nine percent of the people were terrified, his expression of blank face attracted more attraction than it should have. With his position facing the angle of the attack which cut the lizard in two, he was quite suspicious. As the current main character, the "coward hero" shifted his head towards Eria. Although he sensed danger radiating off Eria, he knew he had to take avenge his life long partner.

It seemed as though taking a risk was high, but the radiating elite-level strength of Eria smoothened the hero's heart. With a sword in hand, he dove straight towards Eria. Although the supersonic speed was undoubtedly fast, it was not precise enough to amaze Eria.

"Swish!"

As the attack was about to slash through Eria, a flick of lightning flashed. The single moment from the lightning was all it took for the Eria to break past the sword, and arrive in front of the hero.

"Doom of thunder!"

Eria flashed through the air and struck the hero on his b.a.r.e c.h.e.s.t. Contrary to people's expectations, the attack pushed the hero a few meters away. Gasps of surprise rang, but the buzzing did not affect the two fighters.

"I think that's enough risk for today. My name is Fey. Remember it properly," the hero wiped the dust off his cloth and gazed Eria with a look of caution. Suddenly, a breeze of wind flashed and the hero slowly disappeared.

When the figure finally disappeared, a whisker of happiness and ridicule followed across the crowd.

"Why is he even title a hero. Is the king a retard, after all, to give him such an honor to such a person is a disgrace. All he does is run away when encountered an equally matched enemy," the so-called elder Han muttered as he shook his head.

"What a coward!" His companion, a young, gorgeous seven-foot lady said while looking at the place the hero disappeared. Signing to herself, she said, " I suppose I will gain favor from him then. Father has decided to marry that witch against my will, and that guy is a coward, ah my luck. Why does this always happen to me? You. What's your name? And, why are you killing animals so brutally? "

Eria looked at her and said, "Why is it your problem?"

"That was a gift I gave him when we were a child, and you killed it. And how dare you speak to royalty in such a rude manner?" With an annoyed voice, she howled until her veins nearly popped from her.

The lady didn't seem to be very patient, as seen by her agitation appearance. As soon as she finished her statement, she drew out a bow from thin air. With few more pulls, narrowed eyes and wind magic, she threw several arrows at Eria.

Eria was speechless for a moment, but he still managed to catch the arrows with thin air.

"Spirit Explode!" An explosion rang out from the arrow'sEria hand. All that remained was a dark charcoal skin around Eria. Eria felt a great deal of pain but didn't express any of it.

A deep look of surprise painted through the lady's face. She stared at him and suggested," I guess let's stop fighting. I guess that guy wasn't being a coward, you do have some ability."

Similarly to the hero, the lady too disappeared from everyone's sight. However, unlike the hero's graceful escape, the noblewoman didn't wait a moment to reveal her name.

"Damn brats. Why is everyone causing me so much problem?" Eria thought as he marched towards Nul who seemed a bit terrified. Eria couldn't help but sigh to himself. Nul possed mighty power, but he lacked any experience in combat.

While Eria tried to pull Nul, the dazed crowd ran towards them like a flood. Eria didn't wait for them to catch up, as he used his lightning dash to instantly enter the city.

Streaming through the city, Eria saw a whole different world. The Falling Moon city seemed to be way more advanced, cleaner and powerful compared to the Soaring Dragon city. Nonetheless, that wasn't all to its grand presence; there seemed to be a more refined spiritual energy and mana in the very air.

Unlike the soaring dragon city, the houses stood tall at five stories, and above. Similarly, there were bobbing restaurants, weaponry and alike. People were dressed like nobles, and royalty, but Nul and Eria weren't in awe, rather slight disgust flashed from their eyes.

The two companions, master, and servants went around, looking at different places but couldn't find any lodges to stay. Annoyed and a bit apprehensive, the two sped up and searched for the whole two hours before finding one.

As soon as they went inside the room, Nul shifted his pitch-black eyes towards Eria with a questioning look. Eria, however, didn't say anything or gave any response for that matter.

Standing outside the square window, which faced northeast, towards the center of the city, Eria applied his godly spirit to sense a certain object. In his vision, the world was dark and desolate apart from a certain object, which radiated golden color. It was directly beneath the center of the city. Nul felt like he was caught in an illusion as the golden texture reflected off Eria's sights.

Eria chuckled as he said, "Nul, we are finally in for the loot. I didn't expect myself to be so lucky. We are going to rob this place of this peace- we are stealing the Wordly orb."

Nul stood with a thick, but slightly agitated face. He knew that trouble was to befall him since his master made such an announcement. As he saw the changes in Eria, he lamented himself for his wretched luck.

"Master, what is a Wordly orb? Why would it cause chaos?" questioned Nul, with concern packed on his grimace.

"Nul, it a secret art which transcends that of the gods, and has been in confinement for millions of years. However, we are only looking for the piece of it," said Eria while plastering a smile over his face.

"As to why it would cause chaos, you will soon see it with your very eyes..." With that said, Eria pulled out a bronze-colored book from his pouch.
