The Evernon Saga - The Journey Of Ascension, A Struggle For Godhood.

Chapter 4 - Informative on Evernon (Updated plz see)

Hey guys, this is an informative chapter of sorts, on the current rulers and state of affairs in Evernon. Comment any questions you may have, or if anything is unclear!

Edit: Ahem, yes if you see Classes, – like this, this is the dominant Class of said country. For example, in Nashya, the populace worship and strive towards becoming or serving Warriors. All Warriors are predominantly trained here. The other races and corresponding Classes are no exception. In Xervithil, the Elves hold archers in the highest regard, and are devoted to crafting the finest and most powerful bows, and are famed for their Rangers, who can hit a fly from hundreds of meters away with pinpoint accuracy. As with the rest of the countries, the list goes on. Their Classes are their specialty and their pride. In brackets ( ), is the description of the population of each country, although some are self-explanatory or logical.

(And for those who are cultured, ahem, Stick War. Though this story isn't inspired by it of course, it's my original idea, just that I realized after writing that it's unintentionally similar)

The Royal Kingdom of Nashya – Warriors (Humans)

Rulers: The Square Table – Four Tier 4 ,Titan-class, Level 119 Warriors

Titles:

1) Bertholdt of the Shield

2) Ken of the Sword

3) Jarmond of the Spear

4) Veroth of the Hammer

Trivia: They don't like Mages.

**************************************

Xervithil (Elven territory) – Rangers (Elves majority, Human and Barbarian minority. All other races are barred entry)

Ruler: Aaron Skystrider (Elf) – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: The Mirage Archer, The Child King

Trivia: One of the greatest and most talented archers ever seen on the face of Evernon. His young age of 220 (~22 in Elven years), coupled with his immense power has drawn much fame to him from all across the continent. He is seen as an ethereal being, shimmering in and out of existence as and when he pleases, or so the sightings say. He uses Soul Arrows, arrows formed from pure energy with the power of his soul. Being a peak Tier 5, Demigod-class existence, he possesses an extremely formidable soul. Even a single arrow is enough to stagger and potentially mortally wound even the largest prey on the face of Evernon.

**************************************

The Wescarian Empire – Mages (Humans and Elves, Barbarian minority)

Ruler: Mage King Meredil – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: Myriad Master

Trivia: Defying the laws of nature and all known knowledge and facts about magic, Meredil has completely and harmoniously mastered every element with no repercussions and gained unfathomable power and reserves of mana from his success. His Aura is known to be one of the most terrifying and oppressive on Evernon. Is the oldest Demigod at around 1900 years of age.

**************************************

The Oceanic Nation of Aswol – Pirates (Most races except Undead)

Ruler: Johnny "Scurvy Sailor" Blackbird – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: The Pirate King, The Scurvy Sailor

Trivia: Hates any and all citrus fruit. Uncoincidentally has scurvy. Is a masterful blacksmith as well, having forged and invented the first ever pair of gunblade cutlasses as well as their custom-made bullets, which are his signature weapons. Is also strong enough to carry around a very large cannon horizontally on his back and move around with it as if it were weightless.

**************************************

Culinaricus Mountain (Home of the God of Cooking) – Cooks (All races except Undead)

Ruler: Bernard Flameheart – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: The Deranged Culinarian

Trivia: Is the Sous Chef of the God of Cooking. Is also insane. Tends to set himself and everyone around him on fire. Is equally proficient with blades, and Fire magic. Is capable of making dishes so unbelievably delicious that when he gave one to a poor starving family, they went insane and began to demand and crave a second portion. They showed symptoms similar to that of an extreme level of drug withdrawal. Likes spicy food. Very, VERY much.

**************************************

Forest of Damnation – Necromancers (Undead)

Ruler: Elder Lich Frostmarrow – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: The Undying Puppeteer

Trivia: The only Lich to ever ascend past Tier 3. Is unknown how he did so. Was once a former prominent rising star of a mage in the Wescarian Empire. Was plotted against and assassinated secretly, but his strong soul returned to possess his rotten body, and to practice magics of a much…darker kind. One that suited his purpose, which wasn't to get revenge on the Wescarian Empire as a whole, but only those who had him murdered, and the corrupt upper echelon members who covered up his death. Since Death wouldn't claim them anytime soon, he would do it himself.

**************************************

The Five Heavenly Peaks – Monks (Humans)

Ruler: Thirteen Winters (Daoist name) – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: Heavenly Fist

Trivia: Was once a 'once in a hundred thousand years' kind of genius in his youth and rose in power and through tiers at a breakneck speed, ultimately and foolishly failing his ascension to Tier 6 due to his body not being ready for it yet. He damaged his body so severely that he is forever unable to reattempt Tier 6 Ascension. He now stays on the Heavenly Peaks as the Grand Elder, overseeing countless disciples and attempting to guide them down a path less reckless than his was, in hopes of finding a young genius worthy of nurturing to Tier 6, also known as Godhood.

**************************************

Ug'rok (Desert) – Barbarians (Sort of a sibling species to normal Humans, and also a Class on its own)

Ruler: Rok'ta Bonecrusher – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: The True Barbarian King

Trivia: The one closest to uniting the Desert Tribes of Ug'rok. Rules 85% of the desert with an iron fist, and is the only Barbarian to have ascended past Tier 4, thus making him the most fearsome power in the entire desert. He leaves the last 15% of land to the remaining tribes, for he does not wish to exterminate whole cultures and heritages in his pursuit for power. As long as one obeys, they will not be touched. Is known for his fearsome size, strength and tenacity. Possesses uncanny regenerative abilities, where mortal wounds and shattered bones can heal overnight.

**************************************

Gerusalem, the Holy City – Templars

Ruler: Teus Valt – Tier 5, Level 150 Demigod

Title: The Divine Tyrant

Trivia: Has willingly left his chance at ascending to godhood untouched in order to act as a barrier, preventing those unworthy of being a Tier 6 existence from transcending the mortal world. Was uninvolved in Thirteen Winter's failure. Will cripple one from ascending to Tier 6 if they are of overwhelmingly malicious intentions, rendering them unable to reattempt their ascension and weakening them permanently, possibly even killing them in the process. Is known to be one of the strongest Demigods in single combat. Derives his energy from an unknown source, causing the land to be bathed in light whenever he invokes his power in battle or releases his Aura. He says he fights for and with the power of God, but for the polytheist and atheist inhabitants of Evernon, his claims are questionable at best.

*Edit*: I've altered the stats of William and Magnar, as I've come up with an actual system for stats. Did the math, and changed the displayed stats in chapters accordingly. Chapters 1, 2 and 3 to be precise.

Stat crunching:

Strength – Determines the force/weight behind the blow, influences durability of body and HP

1 point = 50 HP (E.g. 1,145,700 HP as Tier 5 Demigod with equal distribution)*

Agility – Determines speed, both for movement and attacks

Intellect – Is a measure of actual intelligence, comprehension abilities and affects the potency of spells and magical attacks. Provides Mana, which is the inner energy used in order to cast spells, improve physical functions temporarily (body reinforcement), and to use Aura in specific ways.

1 point = 35 Mana (E.g. 801,990 Mana as Tier 5 Demigod with equal distribution)*

*See below v

The Tiers and their Stat gains per Level, as well as their totals.

Tiers 0 to 5 stat point per Level Up.

(4 Stat points/SP per Level Up)

(10 SP per Level Up)

(30 SP per Level Up)

(90 SP per Level Up)

(250 SP per Level Up)

(900 SP per Level Up)

Stat total of each Tier

0: 76

1: 300 (+ 114) = 414

2: 750 (+ 621) = 1,371

3: 2,250 (+2,057) = 4,307

4: 5,000 (+ 8,614) = 13,614

5: 27,900 (+ 40,842) = 68,742

Equal distribution = 68,742/3 = 22,914 Str, Agi, Int equally (purely theoretical)
