The Dragon Amulet

The crowd erupted into excitement as they realised that the fight in front of them was going to be more than a simple one sided fight as they were lead to believe.

Shen Nu took three steps towards Shen Mei, the flames under his feet burned his foot print onto the stage. Shen Mei who had significantly more fighting experience than Shen Nu, took a step to the right before she said a quick incantation.

Following the incantation, a large piece of the earth under the stage came flying out of the ground, Shen Nu dodged the initial pillar however 2 more consecutively flew out towards him. The second one also missed however the third slammed into his side, throwing him to the ground.

While he was lying on the floor, Shen Mei took the time to say another quick incantation, this time, orange flames in the shape of a Phoenix slammed into the body of Shen Nu who was simply laughing to himslef on the floor, his clothes a flame, his skin burning, he rose from the flames like a true Phoenix.

Shen Nu clicked his fingers and a large red dragon began circling his body, Shen Nu then let out a deafening roar and two azure wings appeared at his back, he proceeded to throw his body at Shen Mei claw first. Shen Mei dodged all of Shen Nu's attacks however she was unable to find the time to counter, while.she had the ability to train her body, she often focused on the spirit and mind instead leaving here open to Shen Nu's onslaught.

Eventually one of Shen Nu's attacks landed on her body and the force behind the attack flung her across the stage and smashing in the western wall. The crowd began jeering at Shen Nu, insulting him and demanding he forfeit. Shen Nu walked towards the hole that Shen Mei had made in the wall and as he got closer, warning bells rang inside his head however it was too late, Shen Mei had sprung her trap on him.

A giant hand made of stone jumped out of the ground and held Shen Nu in place, it restrained his arms and began to squeeze him tight, it broke the layer of Azure scales he was using as protection.

Not satisfied, Shen Mei then began a long incantation, Shen Nu recognised this as a spirit attack, stunned that Shen Mei was already a master in the spirit path, Shen Nu began to panic for the first time in this fight.

He was currently about to break into the master rank of the spirit path however knowing that Shen Mei was already at that point began to scare him. When Shen Mei finished rhe incantation, a large ball of see through energy appeared in front of her, she then launched it at the hand that was keeping Shen Nu in place.

When the ball of force was about to smash into Shen Nu, the red dragon jumped in front of the hand and took the attack head on. The Dragon was instantly vaporised and the force of the resulting explosion threw Shen Nu across the stage, slamming him into the eastern wall.

Shen Nu fell out of the hole that impact of his body made when it hit the wall, he was lying on the floor face down, unable to move in the slightest. The referee came over to check if he could still fight and Shen Nu Struggled to move his right arm before forcing out "I'm the dragon emperor, I will not fall here, not at the first hurdle."

Subconsciously Shen Nu began forcing through his progression to a master ranked spirit user. A sudden azure light shot out the sky at hit him square in the head, time froze as a much taller version of Shen Nu, wearing a golden dragon crown hovered over his broken body.

The older Shen Nu looked down at the defeated boy before him and said" You are right, me and you are different people, I would never have been beaten this easily, even by someone stronger than me. You are a disgrace to your heritage, you got angry at Andromeda even though she gave you a pitiful whelp, a chance."

Shen Nu was about to retort when the older version of himself kicked him in the gut to silence him" You are not worthy to speak in front of the dragon emperor, you will just listen. You understand that boy?"

Shen Nu nodded his head and the older version continued his speech " Andromeda was trying to help you in her own way. You need to accept that I'm a part of you, you f.u.c.k.i.n.g idiot. When time unfreezes, the remnants of my soul with fuse with yours and complete us as a person HOWEVER if to continue to reject me then we both die here. You will gain access to my memories and a little bit of my power, more importantly, you will be able to channel the strongest of the three dragons in our arsenal. The black Dragon, the Devourer, this will allow you to eat other people's Qi and use to replenish your body, sea of consciousness and your daitain. Lastly before we fuse, you will Apologise to Andromeda for the shit you have put her through, am I clear?"

Shen Nu nodded his head and looked up at the majestic but terrifying version of himself in front of him. He forced himself onto his knees, kneeling down before himself and saying" I will become worthy of being your heir, I want to thank you for taking the time to kick me up the a.s.s before we fuse. I will treat her better, I believe I have a fight to win."

As the older Shen Nu began to melt into Shen Nu's body, he had one final message for his heir" You need to be careful, I was not the only one who took precautions before I blew up the divine realm. Others will gain their memories and power back and when they do, they will come for us."

Time unfroze as the two became one and the azure light that hit Shen Nu got darker and darker until it turned pitch black, as if responding to the dark light, the dragon tatoo on Shen Nu's c.h.e.s.t began pulsating.

When it finally stopped and the light vanished, Shen Nu had undergone some major changes, one of his eyes was permanently Azure coloured while the other was pure black. In the space of seconds, Shen Nu's body grew a few inches and he had reached the master rank, with his fusion withe other Shen Nu complete, the new pure spirit energy flowing through his body forced him off of the floor.

The scene that had just played out left everyone watching the fight in pure silence, Shen Nu basking in the silence, finally turned to the referee and said" I'm ready to continue".
