Alex led Samantha to the restaurant Jason booked. There was no one else there but them. Alex led Samantha to a seat and waiters came in holding a tray of food. Samantha and Alex quietly ate while Alex was wondering on how to do this. Samantha thought about why she brought him here.

Samantha excused herself to the bathroom when she spilled spaghetti on the dress. Samantha went to the bathroom and wiped the Spaghetti neatly. Samantha was about to leave when her phone rang. It was a call from an unknown number. She answered the call and asked: "Hello?"

A woman's voice sounded from the other line: "Samantha?"

Samantha furrowed her brows. She knew that who the owner of the voice was, it was none other than Jessica. She asked coldly: "What do you want?"

Jessica said softly: "This is about your mom. I have a source that says about her killer."

Samantha froze when she heart Jessica. She wanted to know who killed her mom to give her a sense of peace. She hurriedly said: "Who is it."

Jessica said: "It's Alex."

Samantha was shocked with what Jessica said again, but thinking about it, she got angry. Samantha said: "You are only getting between Alex and me, aren't you."

Jessica retorted: "I have evidence of it. I have sent it to your email now. You can check if what I said is true or not."

Samantha opened her email and saw Jessica's email before opening the doc.u.ments to read everything. She froze when she read it. Alex suffered a series of short term amnesias and forgot what happened from time to time.

Samantha remembered what her grandpa, Mark Anderson said: "The family of the one who killed your mom seems to be highly influential to hide from me."

Samantha thought it was just a coincidence and refused to believe it, but the evidence is right there. She clenched her hands which is holding the phone and tears flowed.

Samantha calmed herself down and quickly returned to the table where Alex was waiting. Samantha knew in her heart that she loves Alex.

Alex felt something different in Samantha when she came back. He looked worried that Samantha would refuse his proposal, but it's now or never. Three men came in from the background and sang a song for Samantha.

Then, he knelt at Samantha and asked: "Samantha Brooks, I knew from the first time I met you that you are the one for me. I always knew that you wanted a formal proposal and I asked Jason for this. Will you marry me?"

Samantha only looked at him with mixed feelings. Samantha wanted to say yes, but a part of her hates him for killing her mom. She remembered that it was Jessica who gave the information to her, so she needed to know first. She did not answer and said: "Can I first ask you a question?"

Alex nodded and said: "Sure, what would you like to ask?"

Samantha said: "Did you kill my mom?"
