The sun silently fell and the glistening moon rose proudly into the heavenly skies. This was a signal to Jiang Wuhan telling him it was time to make his way to Jiutian Xi's study room. He was still unsure whether to go or not, he had little hopes and told himself to not be disappointed, as he expected her treatment to not work. He felt like a burden to those who knew of his illness, people seemed to only pay extra attention to him then, which made him feel quite guilty for being so dependent on others. Rising from where he laid, he stood up and put on another robe. Jiang Wuhan was an attractive young man. He had dark hair and eyes, a good facial structure and a nice body even though it shrunk a bit due to his illness affecting his health. Though he also looked a bit delicate, yet not delicate enough to look feminine.

Jiang Wuhan silently left his current place of residence, which also happened to be close to where Jiutian Xi's living quarters were. This must have been the work of his father, seeing how desperate he was for him and Jiutian to get closer. Nearing the entrance to the courtyard, the two guards who were situated outside greeted him in respect and allowed him entry. Again, he thought nothing of his easy entry, guessing it was either his father or Jiutian Xi telling them about him. Ahead, he noticed a small figure seemingly rushing towards him which made him stop in his tracks. The figure came closer and he saw she was wearing the maid's clothes. The girl abruptly stopped infront of him and bowed before speaking, "thank you for coming, the eldest miss is waiting for you in her study. Allow me to guide you." the girl seemed anxious and turned quiet immediately after finishing her sentence. Jiang Wuhan said nothing, only giving a nod, signalling her to continue and lead the way.

As he walked through the difficult sections of the large residence. He couldn't help but notice how there were small locked rooms, each with different labels on the doors. 'administrator, writer, general and doctor.' Doctor seemed to be the last labeled door, the rest that followed on were unlocked and not label. These rooms fueled curiosity in the young male's mind. He was tempted to ask the little maid if she knew anything about them but decided not to as he respected Jiutian Xi's personal space. It didn't take long for them to arrive.

The little maid stopped and announced the arrival of Jiang Wuhan, "eldest miss! General Jiang Wuhan has arrived!" the girl stepped to the side to not block the males path to the door. A voice on the other side of the room replied, "thank you, Ren Yun. You are to stay until further notice. Jiang Wuhan, please enter." the females voice was pleasant like honey but also had powerful tone to it. The door was opened, releasing a sweet fragrance into the air as Jiang Wuhan took a few steps inside, his entire body seemed to relax and all of the negative thoughts he had moments ago seemed to fade away. His eyes were met with those of Jiutian Xi's own. She signalled him to sit down on one of the chairs laid out in front of her, Jiang Wuhan complied with her order.

Looking at his surroundings, the study room was not as big as he was expecting it to be, actually it had a very welcoming atmosphere to it. There were many booking and scrolls lacing the shelves and walls, some even lying on the floor close by. Candles were lit here and there and the sweet fragrance he smelt before lead to a small plant or herb looking object being burnt in a container. He was quickly startled when Jiutian Xi spoke so suddenly, "what are your symptoms?" she calmly asked, sitting on the opposite side of him, with her head resting on the palm of her hand. "O-oh! Let's see... This illness of mine has stopped me from maintaining a healthy physique. My cultivation has rapidly decreased and I can't seem to make any breakthroughs. It seemed like my cultivation had completely came to a stop! This illness of mine seems to be shortening my lifespan to a few years. If the world knew of my current state, i would not dare to step out my room for the rest of my life! " he confessed with a heavy heart. Jiutian Xi hummed at his response, deep in thought while Jiang Wuhan continued," even the godly Medical Lord was unable to cure me...
