The Commoner Consort: The Country's Respected Empress

After a week.

Since The Princes of the Northern Country left for the Southern Country to negotiate the Dam Construction and its funding, Maya has been very busy in learning Archery. 

It would be suitable to say that Maya has developed some skills without anyone's help. She has been just observing various war forms since her childhood and never got a chance to test them practically. 

And finally she has got the chance and would she leave this chance to go away from her?! Never!

She has been very busy in implementing her all rusted knowledge in Archery. In midst of this eagerness, she didn't pay much attention to the situation around her. 

She checks her left leg injury has healed completely and as usual she ignores it. Because she is used to this weird changes in her body especially while healing. She smiles proudly at her new skill in Archery.

Maya remembers Xavier who is the reason for this new change in her. She c.a.r.e.s.ses the pendent hanging over her c.h.e.s.t and hides it in her robes by covering her neck. She is wearing the chain regularly for a while now. At least since this week.

Maya is standing in front of a tree and aiming something so keenly. Her serious frown on her face has become the usual expression ever since she started to practice which means throughout the week. She felt her eyes burning and rubs her eyes tired. She keeps the bow and arrow aside exhausted.

' Seems I reached my threshold... I should give some rest to my eyes atleast... I wonder where Bhommi went. She has told me that she went regarding the Forbidden Magic Spell. I should wait for her instead of disturbing her. I wonder who she is..actually. Is she a human soul turned into like this Mage? Or... Is she a Mage actually from the begining?'.

Even though she did not want to trust Bhommi completely, Maya has no choice. Ha.. Ha.. Always in alert!

' I am not in the place to doubt Bhommi. I do not have any knowledge on the things which I am recently going through'.

She sighs relaxed 'I will be doing more works regarding The Cold Prison in upcoming days. I should use this chance to rest well-'.

"Maya!".

Maya "..." Very well... What happened now?

Sarah comes running towards Maya.

Maya's bright smile fades and frowns seeing Sarah's panic. She already knew the news would be bad. Definitely!

Sarah grabs Maya's hand as soon as she reaches her and gasps "You will have to leave the Pavilion and the country, if you don't make a move now!".

Maya raises her eyebrows surprised "What?".

' What a sweet surprise! But why is she panicking over this good news?!'.

Sarah nods and explains worriedly "The Crown Prince's soon-to-be-issued order spreads like a wildfire all around the country! You should talk to The Emperor at once before it gets too late! We can't do anything if the Crown Price comes! Let's go-".

Maya makes Sarah to stop and asks calmly "What order? And why should I talk to the Emperor?".

Sarah says worriedly "The Crown Prince is going to issue an order to...Seize your Madam Title".

Maya blinks dumbly "So?".

Sarah slaps her forehead and only then realizes that Maya is still unaware of numerous procedures and dire effects of this new order!

She explains with an anxious cry "If you lose your Title, then you will not be receiving any of the prestige and powers! It literally means.. If you make a wrong move, you will be thrown out from the Pavilion any time!".

Maya squeals in surprise "Really?!".

Sarah looks Maya's pleasently surprised face in disbelief "..." Really?!

Maya ignores Sarah's blank face and smiles in her train of thoughts.

' This is the one and only best ever thing that Arrogant Crown Prince did to me!! Finally! He himself took an initiative to send me back! If he really sends me, then I will be free to manage everything with Bhommi. I will not be so consious about my surrounds! I will be free to do whatever I want!'.

Sarah grabs Maya's hand and asks sadly but her eyes were almost of tears "Are you happy hearing this?".

Maya smiles even brightly "Why wouldn't I? I have been waiting for this moment. But can I not leave when I want to? Does your country has any rule to permit me now to leave? After seizing my Title?! I should be free now to leave, shouldn't I?".

Looking Maya's eagerness, Sarah is somewhat taken aback. She leaves Maya's hand and looks at Maya weirdly.

' She never wanted to be here...she never wanted to..Alas what have I been dreaming of?!'.

Sarah asks seriously "Do you even realize what you are losing?!".

Maya smiles in cluelessness "What am I losing, Sarah? I was never gaining anything to lose them now".

Sarah opens her mouth to speak but shakes her head as if she is debating in her mind.

She takes deep breath and declares "No. You won't lose anything. The truth is you really aren't losing anything! The ones who are losing here are ...we..".

Sarah continues further "The servants! Do you have any idea what would happen to us if you leave from this Pavilion?!".

Maya darts her eyes on Sarah 'They will lose? What?'.

Maya just then notices Sarah's emotions and tilts her head confused "Sarah...What are you talking about? My absence will not change anything really, will it? You have been living here and it's your own country! What will happen to you?".

Sarah gets angry suddenly "Then why did you preach me about keeping our self respect no matter what? I was fine when Our Royal rulers never bothered to respect us! Why did you treat me as your equal when Our Own Country Rulers treat us as slaves?! Why did you show your kindness which Our Ruler doesn't show even while they would be punishing us brutally?!".
