The CEO's Wife Has A Secret

Chapter 89 - Samantha's Identity

Just like what Lim Yi Sheng said previously, they really boarded the plane first in the morning of the next day and when they reached they didn't even drop off their hotel but went to the hospital directly.

They already took the opportunity to sleep on the plane during the travel so they aren't as fatigued. Both of them had no complains about this arrangement since this is a matter they cannot delay anyway.

Upon arriving at the hospital they didn't waste any more time, Lu Nai He met with Doctor William to discuss thoroughly about Samantha's condition right now and the what do to since both of them are using the same jargon it would be best to let them talk on their own.

He went to the room where Samantha is staying and there she saw the frail looking girl with snow white skin who is too focused at staring outside that she didn't even notice him opening the door. To catch her attention, he knocked twice on the already opened door.

"Young lady, you seem so engrossed at what you're looking at that you can't even see your brother anymore, huh." his voice was gentle and pampering. It's really been a while since he last visited and so he really felt guilty towards her, he felt like he's not doing well as a brother to her.

On the other hand, the young woman was quite surprised at the familiar voice she heard that she can't help but exclaim in excitement, "Brother Sheng!"

Lim Yi Sheng walked towards her and sat down on the stool near the bed, looking closer she really looked paler than the last time he saw her. It must have been because of what happened the other day, "I heard that you were sick the other day, how are you doing now? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

"I'm feeling much better now. Doctor William and the nurses are always taking care of me."

Thinking back on the day he first saw her when she was only 10 years old, she actually look much better now compared to before. Back then she was so thin and she looked lifeless as she was holding the stamped envelope on her small hand while waiting in front of his car.

"Really? Then that's good to hear. Once you feel something you have to immediately inform them, okay?"

"Brother, I'm sorry." her voice cracked as she muttered those words in a small voice.

Lim Yi Sheng patted her head a slightly, "What are you apologizing for? I don't think you've done anything worth apologizing for."

"Because I worried you about what happened and now there is a possibility that the operation will be further delayed."

"It's not your fault, Sam."

"But I heard that it was really hard for you to be able to get that donor."

He frowned upon hearing what Samantha said and with dark face he asked, "Who told you that?"

"I heard some of the nurses talking when I was strolling around for my morning walk."

So there are people who run off their mouth carelessly, "Its alright, you don't have to think about anything and just focus on regaining your health. For everything else, I am here. So don't worry, okay?"

"I didn't trouble you?"Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click #'s-wife-has-a-secret_14496266906619705/samantha's-identity_50248240909570283 for visiting.

"What nonsense is that? Is this what you were thinking about? That the operation should be successful because the donor was hard to find?"

The young woman nodded with mist in her eyes which softened Lim Yi Sheng even more, she's been through a lot at such a young age.

"Making the operation successful is not your responsibility, that's why you are here right? Because in here they have the best equipment to use for the operation and in here we also have Doctor William and the doctors working with him are all excellent. What else do you have to think for?"

"But.."

"Sam, listen to me. You don't have to think about anything, you just have to focus on getting better. Even your Brother Nai He will also say the same to you. If you are happy and healthy naturally the operation will be successful. He will visit you in a while, he's only talking with Doctor William right now that's why he didn't come with me."

He mentioned Lu Nai He's name on purpose because Samantha is fond of him and he thought that it would somehow make her mood better.

"Brother, I'm not a little kid anymore. I'm not that gullible you know." Lim Yi Sheng chuckled at her response.

"Even so, isn't what I said basically the same thing? If you are happy and not worrying about so many things then your heart wouldn't have to work so hard which will also make you body healthy and fit for the operation. We don't have to complicate the matter, Sam. Thinking simply like this makes the whole situation a lot lighter, don't you think?"

Lim Yi Sheng knew that it is easier said than done, and that Samantha must still be thinking back on the days before she was brought here. Remembering those days must be an everyday struggle for her.

"Brother Sheng, I have a question." the expression on her face seemed to have changed a little.

"What is it?"

"Why did you really help me?"

Lim Yi Sheng was a little bit taken a back at the sudden question,"I already answered that question, right?"

"The ten year old me would have believed such a superficial answer but eight years has already passed Brother Sheng, I wouldn't even blink if you told me that you helped me because I was pitiful."

Whenever she asks something before he would always answer superficially to avoid the topic.

"Growing up, whenever I ask you would only say that it's because I'm your sister but we both know that I am not. My mom only told me to give you that stamped envelope and after you read its contents you immediately took me in. I didn't even open that because she said that if it was ripped open you would not take me with you, I was all alone if that happened I knew that dying is much easier than living."
