The CEO's Wife Has A Secret

Hannah took a glance at the woman sitting at the back, even though usually she can hide her real emotions at this moment she's not even trying to conceal the worry she has for her husband.

As soon as they arrived at the hospital they immediately went to the VIP floor. On the way there, Feng Jinnian called and told them the CEO's room number. A nurse immediately ushered them to the room. Upon arriving, Xi Ana went straight inside the room without even knocking. Hannah stayed outside to give them some privacy.

"You're here." the man lying on the hospital bed smiled weakly.

Her worry was immediately washed away upon seeing that there is no life threatening that happened to him. He has a bandage on his forehead, few bruises, and a cast on his right arm. After scanning him, she pulled the chair on his bedside, put her things on the table, and sat down. She pulled out her phone and called her assistant.

"Hannah, you don't have to wait for me anymore. You can go home, thank you for sending me here." the worry Hannah has instantly was instantly gone when she hear the tone the president used.

"You're welcome, President Xi. I'll take my leave then." Xi Ana ended the call and set her phone on her side before finally meeting the eyes of the man in front of her.

"I was told by my husband that we'll have dinner tonight but I never expected that instead of a restaurant it was actually in a hospital."

"I'm sorry." he knows that even though how many times he apologize he won't be able to take back what happened.

Xi Ana felt a little bit irritated because she knows he's apologizing because he was not able to take her to dinner. Sometimes she's wondering, is it possible that because they are both intelligent and now that they married they cancel each others' intelligence. How come seem to have lower IQ when they are around each other? It's getting frustrating sometimes.

"What are you actually apologizing for? You're apologizing for the dinner, right? Did you left your brain inside the car that you just wrecked?" her usually long patience can easily hit the bottom rock whenever she's with him.

Lim Yi Sheng laughed but momentarily stopped because of the pain on his side.

"Why? Does it hurt so much? Shall I call the doctor?" he smiled upon seeing his wife's worried face, just a moment ago she's irritated and now she's worried and he's seriously loving this.

"I'm fine, it's just that my side hurts a little when I move too much but the doctor said that it is clear from internal damage so there is nothing to worry about." his assurance made Xi Ana soften a little bit.

"Ana, who was the man you were with this morning?" this is his ultimate purpose why he actually asked her out for a dinner anyway. Xi Ana raised her left eyebrow.

"You're seriously asking about that?" Lim Yi Sheng didn't respond and just stared at her showing that there is no way to avoid this question.

"Yi Sheng, that's my brother Xi Chen. I will deal with those publications later, I actually admire their bravery by releasing an article like that. I'll make them as an example. By the way, did you think I was cheating?"

"No." he glanced away from her. He never thought she was cheating, it's just that he's kind of irritated bu the rumors that was spreading.

"Don't tell me you're actually jealous?" she said without really meaning it.

With his gaze away from her he answered, "Can't I?"

"What?" she wan't able to catch what he said because he only mumbled to himself as if he has no intention of letting her hear whatever it is that he said.

"I said, can't I be jealous? After all, I'm your husband." now he's already looking straight into her eyes.

Xi Ana didn't expect it that's why she remained still, unsure of what to say or do. She never thought he would actually admit that he's jealous.

Lim Yi Sheng realized this and didn't want to make the atmosphere more awkward than it already is that's why he decided to break the ice by suggesting to have a dinner with her brother some other time.

"If it's with the whole family you can possibly share a meal with him but if it's only the three of us it's very unlikely." she picked up an orange on the table and started peeling it. He can eat because he didn't undergo any operation, he only suffered a mild concussion, bruises, external bleeding on his forehead, and his arm was only dislocated and they manage to put it back in place already.

Lim Yi Sheng creased his eyebrows, "Why is that?"

"He doesn't like you." she helped him adjust the bed and now he's already sitting.

"Has it always been like that?" he said while chewing on the piece of orange that she put inside his mouth. The thought that he's being fed by his wife makes him really happy.

"No, he started disliking you the moment you were chosen to be my husband. Do you still feel dizzy?" she gave him another piece. Her husband shook his head as a response to her question.

"He doesn't like the fact that I'm your husband?" he never had any scandals with women before nor did he ever had anything that tarnished his name, so why would her brother dislike him?

"Uhm." she took a table napkin and wiped his lips.

"Does your brother has a sister complex?" he asked because that is most likely the reason why he's being hated for the mere fact that he is his sister's husband. Xi Ana wasn't all that surprised about the conclusion her husband came into.

"Yeah, and he keeps on blabbering that you stole me from him. He's such a big baby." all the people around them know that he has a sister complex.

Lim Yi Sheng looked at the smiling face of his wife while saying that, it seems like not only her brother has a complex problem but also her but she doesn't realize this herself.

After a couple of minutes there was light knock on their door and a doctor came in. When the doctor realized that the woman sitting beside CEO Lim is none other than the heiress of Xi Empire there was a bit of shock that crossed her face.

"Good evening President Xi, I was not expecting to see you here tonight." she managed to collect herself and came back as the professional that she is.

"I'm so sorry Doctor Li, I forgot to tell you that President Xi is my wife." the woman who just collected herself was nowhere to be found. She stared at the both of them in shock, her pointed eyes became round because of the news that took a huge blow at her.

She never expected that the man who's been the dream of many girls is already married and on top of that, he's married to woman that every guy in the country wants to marry. This is too much to digest at once.

Lim Yi Sheng couldn't help but smile, that's a normal reaction though who wouldn't be surprised if they learned that two of the most powerful figures in the corporate world are married to each other.

"Doctor Li, thank you for taking care of my husband. Can you please tell me his condition now so that I'll be able to know what I should and shouldn't do."

Doctor Li came back to her senses upon hearing the woman's voice. "That's right. CEO Lim is actually a lot better than what he looks like, he didn't suffer any serious injuries with enough rest he will be able to recuperate fast. Also, as much as possible he shouldn't put too much pressure on his right arm for it to recover fast. It's better to feel a little bit of discomfort now than to suffer a more serious injury in the long run."

The doctor explained and Xi Ana nodded. She mentally noted the things that the doctor said though there isn't really that much.

"By the way CEO Lim, President Lu said that he will drop by in a moment so he told me to tell you not to discharge yourself before he came." Xi Ana was a bit confused, why would the president of Regal Hospital will make a personal visit to Lim Yi Sheng. She looked at the man sitting beside her.

Realizing that Xi Ana was confused Lim Yi Sheng immediately clarified, "He's my best friend."

Xi Ana smiled and teased him, "Oh, so you have someone like that?"

Instead of answering he just smiled, sometimes he's also thinking how come he had a best friend when he's cold and unsociable.

Xi Ana then turned to look at the doctor.

"Don't worry Doctor Li, I'll make sure he won't discharge himself without meeting the president. Thank you very much for your help."

"You're welcome, President Xi."

With that, she left the room. Even though she wasn't told to keep what she saw a secret she knows it was not her place to tell the world about it.
