After the two took their shower, they went to bed and lie down.

Xi Ana's arms were on his waist while the man was hugging her shoulders, "Why are you here?" she asked. It's been days since they slept together on the same bed and this feeling right now is something very special for the both of them.

"I had a sudden business in City J this afternoon and since it's near I decided to visit you." Lim Yi Sheng has long been planning to expand in City J, preparations were ongoing for a long time and now he can already see the progress.

"If I had known I would have come to pick you up instead of driving here on your own for three hours." since it is only a neighboring city there are only two ways to travel, either you commute using public vehicles such as bus, taxi, or train or you could actually drive on your own and obviously, Lim Yi Sheng chose the latter.

The man kissed the top her head and smiled, since Feng Jinnian wasn't with him he had to drive on his own. "It's the thought that counts, wife. You know I'd rather be the one who's tired than you."

"When will you go back to City A then?"

He used his free hand to make her look at him as he put on a hurt look,"I just came, are you chasing me away? Wife, are you keeping a lover here in City M?"

"Husband, don't overdo it. You're not good in acting." Xi Ana brushed him off with an eye roll.

Lim Yi Sheng laughed with her reaction, "As much as I want to stay longer here with you I need to be back before tomorrow ends as I have a very important meeting on the day after tomorrow also it would be Shinyi's birthday banquet, I have to be there."

Su Nujiao, her mother-in-law had already called her earlier if she would be ale to attend,"Mother called me about it asking if I could spare some time unfortunately, I have a very important meeting on that day and I won't be able to make it. To make up for my absence, I will make someone attend on my behalf."

"Who? Grandfather?"

She shook her head, "Do you remember GL? The one whose brand Shinyi's been fond of?"

"The one you were talking about at the hospital?"

"Yeah. I will make Gian attend on my stead and since the banquet will take place at night, he will be able to attend at the same time talk to her the next day. I have already informed Gian about it."

"I'm sure she will be so happy."

With a tender look in his eyes, he kissed the top of her head. "Thank you, Ana. For being so thoughtful to her even though she got some bad attitude at times., I am partly at fault for spoiling her most of the time."

"I'm your wife, your family is my family. What are you thanking for, silly? It's not like Chen hasn't been hostile with you." she smiled and tapped his c.h.e.s.t slightly.

"Did Feng Jinnian booked your flight already?"

The fatigue was slowly seeping onto him which made him close his eyes, "Hmm…it will be at 7PM tomorrow."

Xi Ana felt like scolding herself for not being attentive enough. She kissed his already close eyes and whispered lovingly, "I'll drive you then."

She snuggled herself inside his embrace and soon they both entered a deep slumber.

In the morning, Xi Ana woke up early as usual and found her husband still sleeping soundly on the bed. She got up and washed her face in the bathroom.

While still on her nightgown, she wore a cardigan to cover her exposed arm before finally getting her phone to call Li Jingli. The call was connected rather fast, "You called, what's up? Are you alright?"

"Proceed as planned today. I'll just follow you tomorrow."

Li Jingli was suddenly alerted. "Why? What's the matter?"

The urge to roll her eyes was very evident on her face but then she knew that there are types of protectiveness that's suffocating but this type isn't like that, it's actually warm and cozy."Both you and Qi Lu should really try to loosen up, were not that fragile."

"Fragile or not, you know that both of you are the most important women in our lives. Protecting the both of you is our life's mission and it's not up for debate."

"Alright, alright."

"So, why won't you come anyway?"

"Yi Sheng came last night, I'll have to drive him off to the airport later."

"Oh, if that's the case alright then. Just be careful and don't evade your bodyguards, look at what happened the last time with your accident. Tiger isn't with you because Qi Lu called him out suddenly last night, although you are in my territory we'll never know."

"You could pass as my father with your nagging. Alright, alright. I'll be very careful." she really would because ever since she set foot in this city she had been feeling odd as if someone is watching her every move.

They talked for a bit more before they finally hanged up.

Lim Yi Sheng woke up alone on the bed, after freshening up for a bit he decided to go out and soon he smelled the aroma of food being cooked in the kitchen.

The luxurious penthouse was quite spacious and the interior design was very much alike with their house that is why the feeling of being there wasn't uncomfortable at all, it was nice and very homey.

"You could have ask for a room service instead of cooking that way you could have rested for a few more hours."

"It's alright, I don't really have a lot of things to do for today. I can stay with you for the entire day."

He smiled. For the past years that he's been living, all he ever cared about was his family and the company. Marrying was never a priority and he would not even spare a second for all the blind dates that his mother would arrange.

Meeting Xi Ana that day wasn't exactly on his plans, he was pestered by his grandfather for a week before he finally agreed. It wasn't a blind date, it was a 'meeting' that is what his grandfather told him and of course with the hopes that it will bloom into something they've always wanted.

Looking back, its been a few months and he can say that he is happy with how things transpired. He never thought that having her by his side would make him feel this way and if he only he could, he would love to spend the rest of his life like this, spend the rest if his life with her.

At the back of his mind, he knew that things will never stay the way they are forever. Things are meant to change, for change is the only thing that is always constant.
