"Jingli tell me the truth, what did you do here? Did you meet with Qi Lu?" it's so hard to have intelligent friends who can catch on fast, keeping a secret to them is as hard as walking through a bed of roses barefooted.

Li Jingli sighed and maintained his composure, to fool a clever person, one should be cleverer. "We just talked about Wenna's issue and it seemed like we can work on it in three months' time. We also discussed about a tighter safety precautions for her because of the sensitivity of this matter."

He kept a straight face because once he wavered, even in the slightest Xi Ana would immediately realize that he's deliberately hiding something from her. Also, it's not like he's lying to her because they did talk about it, it's just that he didn't say everything.

It's not yet time for her to know about Adam Smith, they still need to clarify everything. As much as possible they wanted her to stay away from this matter but it's not like they can keep it for a long period of time.

13 years, she has been searching for that man for 13 years and they knew her very well, only if she managed to do it herself will she be able to free herself from everything that has been binding her all this time.

Soon, that is what Xi Ana's been holding on to. For years, that is the only thing that made her continue to live on that she will be able to personally deal with it, even if she has to disappear from everyone with or without returning. Who knows? "Hey, Jingli! Are you okay? What were you thinking?" Xi Ana creased her forehead when the man in front of her seemed to be so drown in his thought.

Li Jingli snapped back on the reality and saw Xi Ana's confused look so he shrugged right away, "I was just thinking how dangerous it would be if Fang Wenna would deal with it alone."

What he said makes sense so Xi Ana didn't suspect anything. "Uhm. What's the status anyway?"

"I think Wenna really did offend a big time personality this time." Xi Ana thought about it but no matter how much she think about it Fang Wenna is not someone who would act recklessly.

"Is it connected to her past?" Li Jingli didn't say anything and only stared meaningfully at her, like what was previously mentioned, they have one thing in common and that is having a pretty messed up life. Maybe that was one of the reasons why they trust each other so much.

"Wenna wanted to handle it first alone, she actually asked for that three months and its not like we can take that away from her. What we can do is wait on the sideline and protect her no matter what happens." that is why he employed more people to guard Fang Wenna.

"Is that also the reason why you tightened the security around me." she knows that there are people guarding her from a far but there would usually be two to three people only but the moment she woke up she felt that there are more people around her now.

"You can't refuse this anymore, Xi Ana. We've let you on your own for a few years now and yes we know more than anyone else that you can protect yourself, but there are so many things that might happen just like what happened today. Do you know that I almost fired an employee of this hospital just because they won't tell me your room number is?!"

"What happened today was an accident which was caused by my sudden break." she said nonchalantly.

"XI ANA!" she and her smart mouth!

"What?"

"Sometimes I just want to seal that smart mouth of yours so that it won't retaliate at all. Do you know that aside from the car that's deliberately following you there is one more group who's been lurking around you at that time. Although, we managed to determine that the other one was that little cat thief that you fed for quite some time the other one is still a mystery which we think is connected to that stalker you've always had."

The 'stalker' he was pertaining to is the same person who's been making her suffer all this time. Calling him that is their of making things lighter than it really is.

It is likely that what Li Jingli said is true, if that really is the case then this would be the first time that person made a move after she got married.

"But seriously Ana, what does that little cat thief wanted? She already stole quite a lot of money from you and Qi Lu. That's why I told you right from the start when you took her in, she won't do you any good." He really did tell them but they decided to keep her still.

"I was feeling regretful to let go of her talent you know." well she has a point, although all four of them took classes on advance hacking and tracking techniques and was able to nurture their skills on their own, that kid has the innate abilities on that field.

"Such an ungrateful woman. But let me tell you this now, once she harmed you in any way possible I would personally handle her. We've spared her for so many times and that it made her horns grow taller each time." Xi Ana can't say anything about it because these days Han Tu Mo really became such an headache.

Li Jingli looked at his his wrist watch and saw that there is only 30 minutes left before his flight back to City M. "I need to take my leave, I still have a flight to catch."

"Uhm." she said as the man leaned and kissed her forehead.

"I'm begging you, don't make us worry like this again. You know how much you mean to us." in the toughest times of their lives, they only have each other. The bond they have with each other goes way deeper.

"I'll be more careful."

"Okay, take care."

Before he could open the door Xi Ana spoke which made him turn and look at her. "Jingli, I know that whatever it is that you can't tell me now you're hiding it because you care so much about me."

When Li Jingli saw her smile, his heart almost broke it's been a while since he last saw that smile from her. He smiled, so he wasn't able to hide it completely after all. "I trust you."
