The CEO's Wife Has A Secret

The man immediately put down his daughter and managed in time to catch her before she fell. "Daddy, what happened to Big Sister?" the little girl inquired, she was already done with crying. It's not like she was actually hurt, she was just shocked about what happened and caused her tear ducts to open.

"Honey, we have to bring Big Sister to the hospital because she is sick, can I ask you to behave and never stay away from Daddy?" he carried her in a bridal style way. As if instinctively, he looked around and saw a black van not too far away from them.

A sudden thought came to him, this woman was speeding away even though she is driving in a road that is not too populated and with that black van being unusually there, they must have been following her.

This woman must be living in Imperial Residence because this road only leads to it, they were actually here to buy something from the convenience store as this is the nearest one from Imperial. He interrupted his thoughts, the most important thing right now is to bring this woman to the hospital.

He looked at his daughter's sullen face, she looked like she was about to cry while staring at the woman in his arms. "Daddy, is Big Sister gonna die?"

As softly as he can, he assured his daughter that she will not and continued, "Of course not Honey, can you please help Daddy get his phone from the car? We will be using Big Sister's car to bring her to the hospital."

"Alright!" he immediately bring the woman on the back seat of her car, after tucking her safely he closed the door. Since it's in the middle of the road and his car was safely parked on the other side of the road it's gonna be a lot easier for them to use hers.

The little girl in pigtails ran after his dad while waving his phone with her, "Daddy I took your phone and closed the car door tightly."

"Very good, Honey. Now get on the front seat we'll go now."

"Okay!" the little girl obediently nodded and went inside the car as the man sat on the driver's seat.

When he safely buckled his daughter's seat belt he looked where the van was previously parked and it was already gone. Just who is this woman that someone wants her dead?

Lim Yi Sheng has been home for a few hours now but Xi Ana isn't yet, though he considered that the woman really didn't want to go home because of what happened between them earlier this day he can't still shake off the feeling as if something bad happened to her.

He walked back and forth, unsure of what he's doing. He'd been facing the window towards their driveway quite a few times now but the woman he's been waiting hasn't not come around yet.

When he can't seem to contain it anymore he decided to make a call to her hoping that she would pick up but unfortunately she didn't. He tried one more time but he was still redirected to the machine.

Does she not want to talk to me anymore? He thought.

But still even if that's the case, he just wanted to know if she's safe so that he can feel at ease. Without further ado, he decided to call his wife's assistant.

Hannah, who was preparing to sleep was alarmed by the sudden ringing of her phone. Who must be the person that's calling her at this time of the night. She picked up and was shocked when she saw the caller ID so she immediately answered the phone.

"Good evening, CEO Lim what can I help you with?" she asked, it must be something really important she thought.

"Did Xi Ana stayed at the office tonight?" when Hannah heard the question her eyebrows furrowed. She got a call from the guard in charge and he said that she already left the company an hour ago.

"As far as I know, the President already left the office an hour ago CEO Lim. Isn't she home yet?" her voice was already laced with worry.

"She's not yet here. If she called you please inform me right away." he said without making any effort to hide worry in his voice.

Conflicted as she is she answered respectfully, "I will, CEO Lim."

When the call was disconnected, Hannah was quite worried. Usually, the President would stay at the office if she needed to work on something very important but the security clearly told her that she already left for the day. Where could she have gone?

Lim Yi Sheng's worry intensified, even though they had a fight Xi Ana wouldn't do something as irrational as making them worry for nothing. If there is something you can't possibly doubt on her, it was probably her rationality over things and her actions.

He tried to call her once more but still to no avail, he was already contemplating whether to give Xi Chen a call and ask him whether his sister came at the Xi's old residence his phone suddenly rang and the caller ID says Lu Nai He. He answered the call and warned him straightly without batting an eye "This better be something important Nai He."

There is a chance that Lu Nai He will say something not serious so he warned him before hand, after all there was more important thing to handle right at the moment.

Lu Nai He cleared his throat, how could he be so cold to him when they haven't met in such a long time already? Well, he'll talk about that some other day as there is a more pressing matter today.

"Your wife is in my hospital she was admitted--" before he could finish explaining, the man on the other line raised his voice which made him put the phone away from his ear.

"WHAT? HOW COME? WHAT HAPPENED? SINCE WHEN? WHAT'S HER CONDITION?" the usually composed CEO is acting totally uncool at the moment, Lu Nai He thought that it was his goddess' charms that made him like this.

"Man, calm down. She's alright now though I still don't know the full details but it seems like she was brought by a passerby? I'm not sure, I'm still on my to her. I just receive the information after I got out of the surgery room. Well, they assured me that there was nothing serious so I guess you should just go here."

"Alright, please take care of her. I'll be there in 30 minutes." hearing what he said, Lu Nai He wanted to tell him that from Imperial Residence it would take him at least an hour at best to reach there but he decided not to say so.

"Okay, drive safely dude." he said before disconnecting the call.

As he entered the VIP floor, he was immediately greeted by the nurses stationed there. There was no need for him to tell them that Xi Ana is allowed to use the the presidential suite, it would be his honor to be of use to her! Even though she is already married to his best friend she will still remain his goddess!

"You said she was brought by a man? Where is he and what was his name?" he asked when he saw that no one was there side from the nurses.

"Yes, President but when he learned that Young Miss Xi is already out of danger he already left with his daughter."

"He has a daughter?"

"Yes, President though he looked rather young and his child must be around 5 or 6 years old. He also explained what happened." interesting.

"Did he leave a contact details or anything? We should at least thank him and also tell me what he said." even though he already explained what happened to her to the nurses, there must be something more to it. After all, it was Xi Ana who was in that accident, suspecting something from it should be normal.
