"Xiao Shi, how was your meeting with Gian?"

Since she was in City M that time she was not able to follow up, Gian was also quite busy so they didn't have time to talk with each other.

"That's enough." before they could continue with this pointless banter Xi Ana interrupted them.

On the other hand, the two still glared at each other once more before going serious again. "Anyway, who's Gian?"

Lim Shinyi enthusiastically answered showing ber interest without hesitation. "He's a very good perfumer and well known in the industry too. Furthermore, he is a friend of Big Sister in France."

"You've ready met him before, Chen. You might not remember him though since it is only for a while."

During Xi Chen's vacation from school he would always go to where Xi Ana and there was one time whe she was with Gian.

"Oh, I don't know him. You're interested in the perfume industry?" Xi Chen turned to Lim Shinyi and casually asked.

"It's normal that you don't know since you're already following the footsteps of Big Sister, you're not interested in other industries anymore."

"Hey, what's with that?"

There was a trace of sadness in her voice, Xi Ana knew instantly that her career choice was not smooth sailing as people thought it to be.

A lot of elite families in the country felt that letting a direct descendant from the family's main branch enter the entertainment industry is such a disgrace, they look down on people who's using their face and body as a colateral to earn money.

Xi Ana saw that Xi Chen's expression also changed somehow.

It's not totally oblivious to her that at some point her brother might feel that people were constantly comparing him to her. Likewise, Lim Shinyi might also feel the same way. 

Being constantly compared to your sibling who's outsanding and well accomplished at such a young age, it's impossible not to feel anything at some point right. After all, human emotions is the most complex one. 

What Xi Ana didn't expect is that the way Xi Chen answered whixh surprised her a little.

"I might not understand how that industry works, but that is what you want right? You decided that for yourself just as how I decided to take on management as my career choice. My sister sure did influence me somehow but when I decided, it was on me alone."

Xi Chen really didn't understand it but when he heard what she said he felt like saying these things somehow.

Some thought that since they were born in a good family and has so many privileges that ordinary people of their age doesn't have, they don't face problems anymore but that was utter ridiculous.

Rich or not, at the end of the day aren't they still humans and humans encounter probmems just as how they also feel pain.

Management has always been his choice, when he was young never once did his sister talked about him being successor or anything of the sort.

Whatever he wanted to learn, all his sister did was to provide the best education she coild possibly give.

Even when he was still deciding what course he would take in the university his sister never hinted about him taking over the company, she just let him decide on his own that's why he could freely choose. 

Only when his resolve was fully established did these talks about him being the  succesor of their company really did start but because his foundation was good, the pressure was lessened.

"For someone like you, you sure talk big ain't you?" hearing what she sais almost made him snap right there and then.

He'd gone through trouble just to convey that to her but she actually told him off just like that? This woman really!

"Your mouth sure is nasty, huh. Just cut your tongue, Lim Shinyi." he smirked at her.

It's not like what he said is an advice, he just shared a piece of his mind and it's up to her how she will take it.

"Hate to admit it because it's you but I get what you mean, I really do."

It seems like the two have already forgotten that there is still someone who is eating with them but that someone felt happy seeing that the two has these kinds of mindsets. 

As the oldest, Xi Ana felt like she had to speak somehow.

"Listen both of you. There is no such thing as a smooth-sailing path, most of them were full of thorny bushes that would hurt you as you walk and there would be one, two, or more that would prick you for sure. But, always remember that regardless of the path you take, there is no point in turning back what you have to do is continue moving forward while enduring the pain on your feet because that is what you chose therefore finishing it is a must."
