The Boundaries Beyond: Omni Realm's

Chapter 23 - Battle Royale!

After the group walked through the Boundaries Beyond Gate, they were met with the same scene as their last visit. The 17-year-old and Nerd boy were shocked out of their wits seeing the strange world. They looked around and saw many famous shops in the distance, they were of games and movies alike.

"No way!? This... this can't be!" The nerd boy was lost for words.

"It's a marvel shop, what does that mean? Are they selling toys or something?" The 17-year-old asked.

"No, it's the real thing, they're selling Bloodline and powers, you name it!" Darius Paused and continued, "However, I guarantee that you won't be able to afford anything there, the place is practically empty as of now." Things in that shop were outrageously priced high, he would have to wait for a later date to head there.

"Speaking of which, what are your names, you never told us." Ahri chimed in and asked. Darius didn't bother to ask since he didn't think they would meet again or at least talk again.

"Ah, yes, my name is Melissa, I'm from Australia." She formally introduced herself.

"Ahem, my name Peter and I'm from Newyork, nice to meet you guys." The nerd boy said after clearing his throat.

"Nice to meet you guys officially, my name is...." Before Ahri could finish, she was intercepted by Darius.

"Naomi is her name while my name Robert!" Darius had a helmet on so no one could see the deceiving smile on his face.

"Oh, I see, nice to meet you officially, Naomi and Robert!" The group shook each other hands but Ahri looked confused.

"Well, you guys should explore the stores around here and buy yourself some weapons for your next world mission. Be sure to ask questions when you need to know something like how time works here." Ahri gave them a few tips before walking off with Darius.

"Hmm, those two were definitely lying about their names, sigh!" Melissa sighed, she could tell that the guy in black didn't trust anyone.

"As long as we live, we'll meet them again and maybe they'll tell us their real names." Peter shrugged, it was nothing he could do but live to know more.

Darius and Ahri walked through the city, Darius was feeling exhausted while Ahri seemed to be full of energy. There was a resting area near the Wheel of Fate area, it wasn't so far from it and he planned to head there.

"Do you know where the resting zone is? That's where I'm heading, once I rest up, we can head to the next world." Darius wanted to take a nap then head out again, he didn't want to spend any points. He was saving for better items, the items he had now were pretty decent.

"No, I don't know where it is, show me then I'll head off to see what I can buy new in the city." Ahri wanted to follow, she didn't know where this resting zone was. She needed to know so she didn't get lost from Darius.

"Okay, let's go, it's this way." Darius had spotted the place when he went to check the Wheel of fate out. The place was really close to it, so there was no way he could miss it. Darius and Ahri quickly made their way over to the resting zone.

There were many people dressed in cosplay on their way here, but these clothes surely had stats on them. There weren't many but there were some that managed to get their hands on some good stuff. Darius and Ahri could be deemed as one of these people.

Eventually, they made it to the Resting Zone that literally said resting zone on it. "This is the place, this is where I'll be for a bit, I think I'll be here for an hour or two." Darius wasn't sure, it depends on the capabilities of the place.

Erica had to confirm, so she went in with him.

"Welcome, are you ready for the greatest resting experience?" Some woman spoke in an exciting voice, she was totally trying to entice the customers.

"Uh, sure, what do you guys have?" Darius asked bluntly.

"Right this way, you should try our New FNM 3,000, it the best for relieving fatigue in just an hour!"As she was walking, they came to a door, she opened it and they all walked in.

"Uh, what does FNM Mean?" Darius asked.

"Fatigue No More!" The woman pointed to a pod that appeared to be for people to sleep in. Darius couldn't help but think how comfortable it looked, yes, this will do for him, he thought.

"What can it do?"

"It will relieve your mind, body, and any cramps you may have, it also boosts your energy! It is one hundred percent guaranteed to work within an hour or your survival points back!"

"Goodness! Say no more, I want in!" It cost 2,000 Survival Point which Darius had no problem spending, he had earned big from killing that Enhanced Licker.

"Please, change into those clothes hanging up on the wall, the changing room is over there." With that, Darius changed his clothes, he was now wearing all white.

"Ahri, I'll be out in an hour, you can go look around the city and see if you find something you like before we head out." With those last words, the lady shut the pod and set it for an hour.

Ahri wanted to say something but the lady had already shut the pod. "Ah, you wanted to say something? I can open it back up for you if you have something you want to say to him." The lady said with a smile.

"No, it's okay, I'll be back in an hour so take care of him." Ahri shook her head and left out of the room, followed by the woman as well. There were multiple women working here taking people into different resting rooms to rest.

Ahri stepped out of the building, she didn't know what she wanted to buy. Ahri Cruised through the streets full of people. After five minutes, she saw a place called TBB Casino, many people were either walking out sad or walking out very happy and satisfied.

"Hmm, let me give it a try, shall I!" Ahri walked into the Casino, and once she was inside, she saw a lot of people gambling. This World had a casino, this made sense, what was a place like this without a place of chance.

However, the games weren't based on cards or slot machines like the normal casinos. There were several games where people would play against others in a 1v1 or gamble on a certain thing for chance.

Ahri noticed a great crowd around a pacific area, people were cheering loudly over there. Ahri walked over and worked her way through the crowd to see what was going on. "Goodness! No one can beat Sarah, she comes in first place in these deathmatches all the time!" One man yelled out, he was clearly a fan.

"Yeah, it's a good thing I betted on her or I would have lost big time but instead, I gained big, haha!" A man with a pointy nose laughed with joy.

Ahri asked some woman nearby about this game and she happily explained it. Ahri learned that you would be sent to a virtual world, it was a free-for-all match or it could be a team match. However, team matches were on the second floor for this type of game.

You wouldn't die in this game for real, people would place their bets on people they obviously believe could win. You would enter and you'll be able to use all the weapons you have to your disposal. Hearing that she could win a lot of survival points from this, she wanted to play.

Darius always told her that she should save up so they could get powers and not rely on weapons so much in the future, if possible. At this point, no one had completed their three world trial yet, and people came here to win Sp to up their chases in surviving mission worlds.

Ahri was confident in her markmen skills and with the fact she had a raygun, it was even higher. But she wasn't dumb, she knew not to underestimate people, who knows, it might be some people who got just as fortunate as her.

Ahri immediately sighed up, most people didn't participate and only betted on who they thought would win. It cost money to sign up, so they didn't do it and instead betted to win without a fight. Ahri paid and even betted on herself, she put up a lot of Survival points for this.

Ahri was called and escorted to her seating area. They had equipment that she had to put on her head and body to enter the virtual world. Ahri sat in a comfortable massage looking chair before the battle could start.

It was a free for all with the number of 100 people in the virtual world. It was simple, eliminate everyone until you were the last one left. If Ahri had to describe this, it was like Fortnite and Blackout, pretty much a Battle Royale.

"I'll place my bets on Sarah again, this time I'm putting all my savings on this one!"

"Oh, yeah, same with me, Ima win big with this one!"

"Haha, there are a few new names, they must be a bunch of noobs who don't know their place!"

"These idiots will lose everything, I can't wait to see their griefed expression! HAHAHA!"

Everyone mainly put their money on Sarah, she was the favorite to win this battle royale. Ahri was nonexistent to them, they didn't even look at her name or her in general. They laughed at the people that were trying their luck, they thought of them as idiots who would lose a lot and that was something they loved to see most.

[Ready up!]

[Battle starts in 10 seconds!]

Ahri breathed deeply, she was ready for this!

[Entering battlefield!]

With a flash of light, she appeared in a forest. As soon as she took a step, she heard gunfire ahead of her. The number on the screen where it showed the number of people was dropping quickly. Suddenly, someone started shooting at her and she dodged behind a tree.

"Hehe, come out little girly, I'm only going to hurt you a little-lot!" The man had a creepy voice.

Ahri had already climbed the tree she hid behind and spotted the man with a rifle in his hand. She took aim with her silent Bow and shot it swiftly at the man.

Zip!

The arrow silently flew through the air and nailed the man in the head, he was shocked, was I sneak attacked from somewhere, he thought! With his death, more people brought their gunfight over, one guy had a knife thrown into his head.

Ahri didn't need to do much, she was picking people off from the treetop. One man had his heart pierced by Ahri which alarmed two people who were sword fighting. "Shit! There is an Archer hiding around here, and he or she is good with the bow as well!"

The swordfighters broke off and hid behind different trees, in fear of being struck by the hidden threat. Suddenly, a rocket came out of the forest and blew up one of the swordsman, he couldn't even scream as he was blown to pieces.

Ahri's face changed big time seeing the rocket kill a man, the other swordsman panicked seeing the explosion killing the man and ran off to take cover from the firey fall out.

"HAHAHA! No one survives when people have big guns like these!" A man walked out of the forest with a cigar in his mouth, he had several explosives on his body. Grenades, Rockets, Timing bombs, sachet charges, you name it!

The Cigar man looked over toward the swordsman who took cover and threw some C4 his way.

"Ah! NOoo!" The man screamed and tried to run, but he couldn't escape!

Click!

Boom!

"AHHHHH!"

He managed to scream as his body was blown up into many meat pieces, his charred head landed near the tree Ahri was on. She covered her mouth to stop herself from vomiting after looking at the disgusting decapitated head. His eyes were wide open with his tongue sticking out, she looked to where the bomber man was last time but he wasn't there anymore.

The man had moved on to his next target to bomb!

[Beep! Move to safe zone, Gas Clouds are coming in!]

The announcement sent a global warning, she had a map so she could see where she needed to go.

Ahri looked at the number of participants.

[54/100]

So many had died already, this place was total chaos!

"I'll win, I won't lose!" Ahri couldn't get that image of that head out of her mind, it was too creepy.

"Time to move!" With that, she moved to the zone where the gas would stop at, this forced people to fight each other instead of camping like most were probably doing.
