Edward sighed deeply then excused himself while thinking of a way to please his soulmate, although he had no idea about the thing he did wrong that made her ignore him in the first place.

Joleen on the other hand was talking to Liz, yet paying a huge attention to Ed's movements.

Liz spoke enthusiastically while holding her best friend's hands.

" You look absolutely stunning Joleen! "

Joleen was flattered , she smiled then humbly replied.

" Come on Liz, you're the one who looks gorgeous tonight "

Meanwhile, Anna and Sophy rejoined the party. Sophy suddenly grabbed her friend's arm then hushed.

" Hey Anna, don't forget what I said earlier in the room. You can't involve yourself in any other scandals, just keep a low profile and don't anger aunt anymore "

Anna rolled her eyes as she uninterestedly listened to her friend talking. She removed Sophy's hand then slowly disappeared in the crowd.

Sophy knew her crazy friend was up to no good, so she secretly followed her, keeping a close eye on everything she did.

" Here you are you ungrateful girl ! "

Anna turned around as her mother f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y grabbed her arm.

" Ugh.. why do you all enjoy grabbing me by the arm? is this some kind of new fetish you guys are having ? "

Mrs Dion released her daughter's arm and tightly held her hand. She pulled her to an isolated corner to avoid the gossips. The mother was clearly enraged but she had to keep a smiley face in front of everyone. She let go of her daughter's hand as they reached a safe spot.

" Wow Mrs. Dion! You have such great acting skills, have you ever considered being an actress ? "

provoked, her mother pushed her against the wall, and when she was about to slap her, Anna spoke again.

" Did you pull me all the way here to scold me again ? Are you out of your freaking mind, you old hag ? "

Anna's mom was about to yell when she suddenly noticed Anna's face expression. She knew that cold and evil stare of her daughter which was always followed by a sever emotional breakdown if pushed any further. Afraid of losing control on the situation, Mrs. Dion retreated.

" I .. You... "

The mother was speechless, she turned away for a moment then walked away as she calmly spoke.

" Don't make anymore troubles for me Anna, please "

Sophy who was eavesdropping on their conversation popped in her aunt's face when Anna could no longer see them.

" She's losing it again isn't she ? "

Sophy spoke heavily.

Mrs. Dion who was in panic could barely stand as she spoke.

Sophy held her aunt's hand then bitterly smiled.

" Don't worry aunt, I'll make sure she isn't bothered or angered, at least until the party is over. We won't be able to afford the consequences of upsetting or pressuring her now "

The mother nodded then left, while Sophy slowly approached her friend.

" What is it that you want me to help you with, Anna ? "

Moments before that, Mona was looking for Edward who left her alone when he saw Joleen. She suddenly saw him, so she hurried towards him.

" Edward wait ! how dare you leave me alone after seeing your girl? you know I don't know anyone here "

Edward looked back then talked while patting on his cousin's head.

" I'm sorry cousin I'm busy right now. I have to find Joleen "

" Then I'll come with you, I want to meet her too "

He suddenly removed his hand and resumed walking.

" Not now Mona, wait for us here, I need to talk to her privately first "

Ed left in a rush, leaving his cousin to loneliness and confusion again.

When the cousins were talking, Joleen was closely observing them and slowly burning with jealousy.

" Joleen, I'm talking to you ! "

Joleen never felt that jealous in her life. It was the first time that Edward actually pats a woman's head except for hers. She was fully absentminded and furious when Liz's touch brought her back to her senses.

" Sorry Liz, were you saying something ? "

" I said did you and Edward meet ? why isn't he with you ?
