The Awakening Unknown

"New Start"

I'm in a swamp, surrounded by alligators. I sense bloodl.u.s.t, their mouths opening to devour me, but I'm not scared, I warned them to stay away. The black flames begin to spread around the swamp, capturing the alligators and me. 

Then I wake up, I find myself in a cold sweat. Why am I so nervous about the mission. I stand to walk toward the kitchen, pouring me a glass of water, my hand trembled dropping the glass. The glass shattered, shards spreading across the floor.I wasn't scared and I'm not scared now. So why does my hand shake.

["System Update," ]

                 "Ability acquired: Mind Breaker, ability to stop mind control, illusions, and stealth movement."

That's quite random, I wasn't expecting an ability. I returned to my room, and sat on my bed, I go to check my mission update, 20 people for a B rank mission, a lot of D ranks and C ranks. Seems like nothing important happened.

I'm going back to sleep.

I wake up the next morning, my phone is going off. "Hello," I said after answering. "You're an hour late," come down to the Berrien district." Anja said. "I'm on my way".

I ran down to the Berrien district, out of breath, wheezing, Anja spotted me.

 "Come over here, Abis." 

"Where were you, we were supposed to start the mission two hours ago." As she stared at me intensely.

I scratched my head, and avoided eye contact. "I overslept."

That's a good start." Let's just head into the gate.

We all began to enter the gate. By sensing the Chi in the area, I can tell that this is a B rank dungeon. A scream surfaces, "A BLOOD WOLF", standing in front of us was a total of 3 Blood wolves. Slobbering mouth, razor sharp teeth, and blood red fur. They blitzed us, a shield type blocked one of the Wolves from attacking Anja, and a C rank, Dual wielder slashes the Wolf. Anja then ran toward me and stood behind my shoulders. 

"I can't use my powers, you see this bracelet that I have on, it blocks all Chi connection." 

I see, they most likely put the bracelet on her to allow me to fight. Being an S rank escorting with such low levels. ["Perception activated."] 8 D ranks, 6 C ranks, 2 B ranks, 1 S rank, and me an X level, 18 people in total. Seem like two people bailed on us at the last moment. 

The further we go, the more blood wolves we find. The D and C ranks seem to be more than capable of defeating them. A female tapped my shoulder, an A rank, with sunset orange hair, and indigo eyes. She introduced herself as a magic type. "That shield up there is Duster, he a C rank. The D rank is Ash, he's originally a B rank."

"Why did not I need to know that," I asked. "Because they will become crucial. You've been evaluating us correct. And Mr. Anja trust you enough to stay close to you, may I ask you what your rank is."  She smiles, Staring at me as if I was the moon on a lovely night. 

"I'm a Level X, or however you say it."

Everyone stops and turns toward me, they all stormed toward me. Muttering and Shouting questions. Anja steps away from me for the first time. "Focus on the mission." She shouted "Why must I yell to tell you all what to do. From starting out no more distractions." As she clenched onto me. I scratched my head and began walking again. 

["Precognition activated."] Arrows began flying straight towards me.

["Shadow Creation activated."] I created a gigantic shield to block the arrows from hurting Anja.

"Are you okay" I asked.

"Yeah".

Clack, Clack (SFX, for footsteps)*

As I stare forward, a set of elves stand in our way. Armed with bows & and arrows, and goblins sitting still, awaiting for command. "Oh, seems we caught a special one." The elf in front said. "You there boy, who are you." I stay silent, staring at him. The leader elf gives command and prepares to shoot. ["Fear Factor in effect."] The elves all suddenly stopped, and bowed to me.

I tell the leader to come down and face me in a one on one dual. He listened to my command. He grabs a sword and prepare for battle by removing his nice fur coat. ["Yami equipped]." Time to show this off.

["Shadow Touch, activate.]"  I swing my sword, trying to get a feel for it. The black flames created by Shadow Touch begin to emit from the blade. 

Are you ready. I asked, he stepped back and resumed his fighting stance. He charges for me and swings his blade. I caught him by his wrist and asked for his name. "I am Drow, and may I ask for yours." 

"I'm Abis Uzun," Than unexpectedly, I sliced his arm off. My body moved on it own. He lies on the ground, trembling in fear, and groveling in pain. I look up to his followers.

If you are loyal, you either shoot him or me. Anja tries to convince me to stop, because my mind is already made up. They proceeds to shoot their arrows, ["Shadow Creation activated,"] I shielded Drow from the arrows. They got so caught up in their fear that they chose to kill their only leader. Take us to your bosses lair. If you do that I'll let you live. They escorted us to the boss room. ["Mission Update", kill 0/7 elves. ]

Without much choice I decapitated all of the elves, all except for the leader. ["Mission Completed", do you wish to continue. "Yes,"the system realized that I was in the middle of something. ]

We made it to the boss room, out of nowhere a horde of monsters appear and stormed us. At least a number of 120 monster attacking us simultaneously." This is why I said focus", Anja said taking off her bracelet. She summons a double sided spear, and attack 27 monster at once.

["New Mission kill 50 monsters".]
