The Awakening Unknown

"Royal Capital" 

Today is July 23, a Thursday. I have to meet up with Anja at Sawada cafe at 2 p.m. I dress in my ordinary fashion, today I wear a white shirt, and black jogging pants with a white slash running through. I wear white socks and wear my black and white shoes. It's currently 10:23, I just got out of the shower, and brushed my teeth. I decided to go and explore the capital while I can. I travel down the hill my house is on. And head for the royal capital, after walking around trees, and avoiding stepping into mud puddles, I make it into town. A lively area, dominated by the government you can see military bases, and police officers standing by. 

I see kids run carefree, playing games of tag or hide and seek. You can find the parents watching, either sitting on the bench, buying food from the concession stand, or simply playing with the kids. At times like this they can let go and have fun. As I walk through town, a salesman approached me. A man with neatly trimmed hair and a long light brown trench coat, "Can I offer you a once and a lifetime deal," he reaches into his coat and takes out a gourd of water. "This is Water of Eternal youth, kid you well be young forever", I glanced at the water and instantly recognized the smell. "It's liquor in that gourd correct". 

"Very perceptive my dear friend, yes it is." He placed it back into his coat. He bowed then walked away. I continue exploring the capital, stores at almost every street and concession stands outside of the buildings. Alleys are common, that is the low place of this capital. In every alley is groups of homeless people. Sometimes even dead bodies rotting by the dumpsters. The homeless here are harmless, yet they all are left to die and rot away. I walk up to a library, made of bricks, and sets of two columns. At least 78 ft tall, and over 50000 sq ft. I walk in and find a receptionist, a girl with round bold glasses, and a brown bang covering her left eye brown. "Hello, how can I help you today." She said 

"I'm here to check out some books", 

"Oh right away sir, do you have a membership card," I answered no and asked if a soldiers card work. Her eyes widened, and her smile returned, she responded with yes and let me pass. Usually I have to sit and write an application to earn a card. I check out six books, and finished The great three yolks. I find an open field, no officers or pedestrians around, the sign read field open from hours 7:30 a.m to 8:25 p.m. It looks relatively brand new, and the grass is perfectly groomed. I lay onto the ground and stare at the sky. The clouds floating above, the sun glimmering upon my face and the sky as blue as always. And the ocean flowing inches away from me. The breeze blows through my scalp and close my eyes. A calming aura, I'm instantly driven to sleep.

1 hour later, I opened my eyes, to my alarm on my watch screaming at me. It's already one p.m and he already spent most of his time exploring and in the library. I turn my watch off, and stood up. I begin to walk back home to take a quick shower. With only 20 minutes left I put my clothes own, only this time a long sleeve black shirt and red stripe slashing from my shoulder to my loin. When I opened my door I find a chariot and the same chauffeur as last time. "Good day long master, We prepared a chariot for your meet up with Ms. Anja." He sit me in open wagon, and hops on top of one of the horses. 

"Seems like the mistress have caught a liking to you, he said. I wonder what she's thinking. "We're here, Sawada Cafe." He said

I thank him and he rides off, when I walked in I see Anja ordering, I caught her eye and before she finished ordering she called me over to her. "And what will you be having sir," a chai latte i responded. Ok coming right up." 

"So what was all of that white flames and things about." Beginning with the question straightforward is brave, I thought. I explained everything that I know about the system. "So your abilities come to you one by one, as if you are unlocked them like your in a video game, and also your beginning lose emotions." she said 

Also I responded, I don't know the goal of the system. This place is nice and slow, only 5 other people are here and it's decorated in an authentic look with wooden tiles and walls. They have round tables to sit at, and booths like the ones me and Anja are in. Anja stares deeply out the window, tapping her finger on the marble table. Finally our orders are ready, "here you guys go, hope you enjoy", when I take a look Anja ordered cakes, cookies and a latte. So what you just told me; once you unlock all of your abilities you'll become one of the strongest." She excitedly stuffed her face with cake. "You must love sweets" I asked. She gulped the cake down her latte and smiled at me saying yes. Even with that much chocolate cake her teeth remains a pure white.

The bill is handed over to us, not for much 70 Ath's. I offer to pay but Anja had already beat me to it. Due to the mission we just did I earned 890'000 Ath's over the course of one mission. Well I just wanted to inform you that it'll be 2 weeks until your next mission." 

Hearing that worried me but it didn't matter because I have enough to last me a week.
