Li Yan got up whereas Qiao Mu did not move from her seat. She started to act shamelessly, “You still haven’t promised me to settle the matter yet, so I don’t want to eat.”

Li Yan lowered his gaze to glance at her, “So are you threatening me with your own health?”

“You won’t be threatened by it. You don’t care about me at all!” Qiao Mu mumbled angrily with a soft voice.

The man’s low voice sounded like a beautiful melody in Qiao Mu’s ears.

She raised her head in shock as a hint of surprise flashed across her eyes. Then that tall figure walked toward the dining room after saying three words with a firm voice, “Eat your dinner!”

Qiao Mu grabbed the opportunity and followed smugly behind him, “Uncle, you’ve agreed to help me already, right? I know you’re the best! You certainly can’t bear to see others bullying me! The department head said that I’m a vain person who covet riches and honor! Li Yan switched off the television. He stood up and carried her in her arms with careful motions before carrying her upstairs.

Her body was very light, so light that he would only feel secure by holding her tightly in his embrace.
