The Apocalyptic Mother And Her Struggles

Some of the newborn zombies started running. Fast. Like they knew that the imminent danger was nearing them. One of the zombies started climbing tall buildings like squirrels. Few of zombies dug themselves into the earth like moles. There are many that jumped into the water and tried to clumsily swim.

''What is this about?'' Did those turn back to human form? Or did they just became next evolution after eating their own kind? Wait, what?

''Help...'' She could clearly hear that and looked around but no one else reacted.

''Help...'' Now multiple voices started calling. Emma was stunned while Aisa held her hand and squeezed. ''Mom, can you hear it as well?''

This time she knew she was not hearing things, but how come that just two of them could hear it?

''Boss, the doctor is asking to talk to you on a private line.'' One of the operators told her.

She rushed into the private room and closed-door after Aisa entered. ''Yes, doctor?''

''Can you hear the voices?'' He asked in excitement.

''Yes. What is going on?'' She was now truly astonished.

''I gave two of you new drug against your weak bodies, right?'' He gave them really many medicines.

''Yes?''

''I gave the same one to my daughter and few other patients. Some had this side effect and some didn't. Those that do have side effects called me as they thought they are getting crazy. I can't be sure but I think some people like you that were naturally brilliant had more chances. Out 73 people just 9 had this side effect. What about Aisa?'' he was excited.

''She has it as well.'' Is that something to be happy about?

''Of course. With her high intelligence, it would be wonder already if she didn't get it. You have this kind of feeling inside. Do you? Like you can feel their emotions?'' After hearing her affirmative answer he got excited. ''That is because you are extremely emphatic. You probably feel bad if someone hits himself or if you see someone in pain. For you, it is the same as you had it yourself. Sigh. Luckily only you and I have this. Don't tell anyone about this. I don't know is it a good thing.''

''Then in D section of next area do you know are there shelters? I need to help them get in a safe place. Now!'' Emma felt the urge to run and that means that some of those zombies are in direct danger of annihilation.

''There is a laboratory that is practically impenetrable. They should rush there, ill tell you its entry code.'' He could feel the same thing as she did so he was in a rush.

She rushed out and ordered the computer. ''Turn on lights on the laboratory in D city. Maybe that will bring them together. I heard from the doctor that we need to save as many as we can of these newborns. They might have answered on new antivirus for us.''

Suddenly the picture changed and trough her mind she started sending pictures of that lab in hope that they will understand. Soon first ones started appearing and escaping inside. More of them rushed and about coupe hundred was already inside. Unfortunately, the rest was or too far or caught up in the new tide. She ordered them to lock the doors and stay still inside.

Trough the computer screen she could see them standing still, like puppets in such small space and waited. The zombie tide hit the laboratory but as nothing happened and they didn't feel any movement they did it again and again. Fortunately, new zombies were not like humans. They didn't breathe or had many emotions.

They could hear in their mind soothing voice from Emma and just stood still. Soon the tide became strangely shaped and started changing. Few new zombies were rushing to the other side of the state and the tide started moving that way.

But what scared the Emma the most this time. It was faster, stronger and started moving to her direction.

''Damn it!'' she cursed making Aisa raise her eyebrows in wonder.

She knew about her blunder but was acting as nothing happened. '''Tell them to drive faster, I fear that the tide this time is not as simple as the other one. Looking at the size and speed of tide, they might catch them up in mid of way over here. Is there any shelter they could hide?''

Actually there were stunned all by the newborn zombie's reaction. But now was not the time to think too much into it. If Boss doesn't say anything, then what can they?

''Boss, the problem is with further driving. If they want to go around the city they will lose time and if they go through the city they will be caught up with tens of thousands of zombies that started moving their way.'' Everyone awaited her answer.

''So either the way, they will be attacked?'' Seeing the operators nod she sighed. ''Then go around as fast as possible. At that time try to find...''

She saw something from the corner of her eyes and suddenly a big smile emerged on her face.

''Airport!'' Everyone understood. They started checking cameras around the airport and saw thousands of zombies inside.

She saw the situation and ordered the lockdown of doors. Luckily the doors were connected to computers so they could lock it, but for how long?

''Check the data on the planes. Look for a smaller plane that is ready to start. You, connect me to them.''

All this way no one actually saw Mario's face. Those that knew him, recognized his voice but didn't react much. But she felt that there must be a reason he hid somewhere. He'll probably tell her that after coming back. Now she needs to get him out there.

She actually was extremely tired. But what could she do? Now was not the time for her to rest.

''Mam, there is one smaller plane ready, but there is a tiny problem there.'' He opened his screen and the plane was actually filled with zombies.

She sighed.

''Why are you sighing again?'' She could hear his voice that had a hint of teasing.

''Cna you drive plane?'' Her blunt answer was nothing new to him.

''Of course.'' No wonder. Why did I even ask? It was the question in her mind.

''There is an airport about twenty minutes away from you. It is literally full of people. The doors are locked but can it stop these if they start getting inraged. Then there is the other problem. The plane that is perfect for you to just jump in and drive is full of passengers. You need to clear them. Can you?'' Some things they had to do alone.

Luckily it was one of smaller planes that had seats for just a few dozen people.

''No problem. Is it possible to start basic functions before we arrive? If not we might get caught up with those inside the airport.'' He knew that the thin glass would be able to stop the tide of people.

He waited for a while and then got her answer. ''Luckily the board computer was already on and we could connect to it. Hurry. The new tide is coming towards you guys and it seems this time nothing will be able to stop it. And it's fast, scarily fast.''

''We will speed up. I have an idea of how to stop them for a while while we clear the zombies in the plane.'' She could literally see how the cars got on speed turning towards the airport.

''What do you plan?'' She had a feeling he had some crazy thing in his head and that probably will be something she dislikes.

''Noting much. We will turn these cars into the firewall so it might slow them a bit until we can start flying.'' It was a good plan, but he didn't tell her that the zombies probably won't be able to stop.

After seeing them fall off the bridge and still attack them, that meant that they have no fear or pain.

''Boss. The tide speed up. This...'' The young woman's face became white as she saw the tide rushing like crazy and gathering more and more zombies as it rushed.

''Mario. The tide is becoming faster. It will be there in the next half hour. Hurry!'' her yell resounded as her face became white seeing the devastation the tide left after it.

More and more zombies came rushing out the cities like on command. Thousands, tens of thousands now as it seems millions if not even tens of millions of zombies rushed towards Mario's position, making everyone giddy.

''We are there open the main gate. Hurry.'' He could see the huge main gate for entryway straight towards the take off-field. He could see the doors opening and few zombies walking towards them.

This time the guys just used guns to shoot them as they had no time to play around.

With the support of operators, he quickly found the small plane and as they drove there they could see the door opening on plane and unch of zombies rushing towards them. They stopped a bit further away and armed with guns started shooting them down.

Suddenly they could hear huge crashing noise behind them and started running. Not even looking back they knew that the zombies in the airport broke through windows.

The noise of incoming zombies gave them some more wind to their feet as they rushed inside and quickly closed the doors. As Mario rushed to the pilot seat he realized that the plane already started moving towards exit point with the help of the computer and took over.

The problem was that he could feel strange vibrations coming from further away. As his eyes saw the sight he gots cared for the first time since this situation started happening.

A huge amount of zombies rushed amazingly quickly after them and when he took off some of them even tried to jump witch made him scared to hell. As he made round around the airport he realized that the zombies started making a strange motion like a vortex.

He never saw this before but Emma and her crew did and they got worried. What will happen now?
