Tales Of Demons And Go...What Is This !

Nie Lan ended up in a really curious place. She had fallen down a pit hole that was near that weird monument and felt something was connected.

Looking around she see's nothing but a passage so she had no choice as she was still a bronze rank demon spiritualist and climbing the pit was out of the option.

She explored the passageway and along the way deactivated the traps that were placed. These traps would be deadly to any intruders that were not prepared but with Nie Lan's eyes she could determine that the locations of these traps.

In a short amount of time she had already taken dozens of traps and deactivated them. The passage was not long but with the traps they took a bit of time to get rid of.

Nie Lan was eventually led to a hall that looked like a tomb. In the middle of the hall was a stone coffin. This made her curious because along the way she had seen many skeletons, some of which were old and thus she determined that this was an underground bunker to escape from invaders. But in a bunker why would there be a coffin?

Nie Lan moved forward and inspected the coffin, she read the inscriptions to be foreign as she had never learned this language. She moved her hand towards the coffin and when she touched it something happened.

Suddenly the coffin exploded with power as it bombarded Nie Lan's soul realm. She felt intense pain as her soul realm was threatening to explode. By revolving the energy within her soul realm she was able to take the coffin's energy and refine it within herself.

After an incense worth of time she opened her eyes to see some putrid black substances coming out from her pores and was scared because as a girl she could not afford to look so bad. Luckily she had some water stored in her ring because she planned ahead just in case there was no source of water nearby.

She took out a towel and wet it with the water, then proceeded to wipe herself clean. It was a good thing no on was nearby or else they would have been enchanted by the lovely scene of her n.a.k.e.d body and her hand wiping the inpurities off.

Nie Lan took some time to wipe herself clean before taking a new dress out of her ring and donning it. While she did that she noticed that her body had been enhanced to a new level. If it was said that she had the whitest complexion and smoothest skin before she can be considered as shining as the moon and smooth like the best jade now. Her body had been purified of the impurities that had been built up over the years.

This wasn't the only change however, she saw that in her soul realm she had broke through to the silver rank demon spiritualist and was also shocked by what she saw inside it. There was a faint outline of a demon beast even though she had not integrated with one yet. She had planned to take it slow and look for a demon beast that she would perfectly integrate with but now there was one that her soul already had and it seemed cognizant.

After Nie Lan came back from the reverie and looked into the now opened coffin. There was an abstruse gemstone that boosted one's cultivation speed and also a page.

The page looked familiar... almost like it is... the Temporal Demon Spirit Page! In her past life she had gotten the Temporal Demon Spirit book but it was missing many pages, even with an incomplete version she had an item with divine powers and a world inside of it. Now she had actually gotten a page to complete it, even if she did not have the book with her she could very well find it in the future.

Nie Lan was smiling at her gains, just these two items are enough for her to leave but that would be foolish. Especially since she remembered in the past, Sacred Family had found an item that was worth millions of demon spirit coins. She needed to deny the Sacred Family of this item since they were the first to run from Glory City during the beast horde.

Nie Lan moved forward to check out the rest of the tomb. She found more traps and deactivated them as well and after a few minutes she had found a dead end.

Not discouraged by this she felt around the walls and looked for a way out. After a few knocks on each wall she found one that was hallow and pushed it to be led to another room. The room was filled to the brim with gold coins and jewels which made her ecstatic as she was a lady now and which lady does not like jewelry.

She took a few of the accessories and stored them into her ring and glanced over the books to find nothing in her interest until she found a lamp. He recognized it as the item the Sacred Family had sold, a lamp containing the demon beast soul of a Shadow Devil. Shadow Devils are incredibly rare and practically extinct now also with their many abilities that were versatile it could be considered a pinnacle demon spirit to have.

As she neared the lamp, it flickered seeming to be afraid of something. Deep inside her soul realm the beast residing inside let out a roar before it sent some spiritual energy towards the lamp and dragged it inside Nie Lan's soul realm.

Nie Lan was shocked and wary of this and immediately went inside her soul realm to take a look. Inside she saw the demon beast resting with it's eyes closed like it was tired of the mortal world and another one nearby trapped within a cage of spiritual energy.

However, she felt that rather than the spiritual energy of the demon beast it was her own which surprised her because she did not move her energy nor integrated with the Shadow Devil. Regardless of her complaints it had a link to her now and she could use it as she pleased. Although she was a bit worried she gave up as it was not a problem she could solve so she left her soul realm.

As she left, the demon beast secretly opened it's eyes for a moment before closing it again.

Now that Nie Lan had everything she came for and added bonuses she looked around to see a sealed exit but heard noises above so she just stood by the side waiting.

As light pierced through she heard a few rambunctious voices and sounds of footsteps coming down the stairs.

As soon as people started flooding into the treasury they were ordered to start collecting all the treasures after picking a few items and left them to their own works.

Chen Linjian, Ye Ziyun, and a few other people noticed that Nie Lan was already here and Ye Ziyun burst into tears as she went forward to hug her.

After the treasury was cleaned out they grouped together and started heading back to Glory City with no interruptions or dangers facing them.
