System Vs Magic

Glistening beads of sweat already trailing on his forehead. He closed his eyes, greeted his teeth so hard, and hardened his muscles to endure the pains that were coming.

Three consecutive stabs that almost arrived at the same time made him cried out. His face twisted in pain.

He knows he got hit. Yeman believed he would die at any moment. He felt pain from his stomach, left waist, and at his back. He furrowed his brows.

Yeman waited for his end. But seconds later, he doesn't seem dead. He doesn't have heavy breathing as well. Everything was normal, except for the pains he felt.

He slowly opened his left eye. He saw the skeptical faces of the monsters while looking at their blades.

Their daggers were not able to deeply penetrated Yeman's skin.

'I-I'm alive?' he exclaimed.

He noticed something in his vision, a blinking green bar.

In the green bar can be seen numbers, it shows 170/200.

'Is this my health bar?' He unconsciously asked himself.

But he doesn't have time to be in a daze.

Yeman doesn't know what was happening or how it happened. But, he was alive! Without a second thought, he hastily leaped to his right to avoid the next pincer attack.

After he successfully leaped, he pointed the tip of his spear at the Ratmen with the lowest HP.

The exclamation points appeared over the monster's heads when they noticed the human enemy leaped.

Before they could give a chased, Yeman hurriedly stabs the Ratmen with lowest HP. Out of reflex, the Ratmen jerked to it's right to avoid the incoming spear. However,

Keek!!

Eek!!

It collided to the other Ratmen on it's right and now nowhere to go.

After the notification that he killed the monster, a bright green object like energy goes towards him and was absorbs by his body.

Just like before, he received notification of receiving experience points.

And again, he felt stronger after leveled up. Yeman knew his stats went up. Not only that, his HP became full again and raised. Now on the green bar displayed the numbers 300/300.

After killing the Ratmen, Yeman pulled the spear and prompted a step back.

The two left Ratmen came chasing after him. The one on the left leaps rapidly to shorten their distance. And the one at his right dashed forward while pointing the tip of a dagger to him.

But, Yeman with his new speed was much faster than the level1 Ratmen.

He kicked the ground to acc.u.mulate force and skid to his left.

The two Ratmen arrived at Yeman's supposed to be position in the past 1 second. But, their too late, their target already at their right sides.

With a smirk on his face, he swung his spear horizontally to the Ratmen who leaped recently. But, before the spear hits the Ratmen's jaw, Yeman suddenly felt a chill and stopped his attack.

A shadow with 2 gleaming daggers rapidly passed through and severed the monster's heads.
