System Vs Magic

My sight was blurry because of the flying object that hit squarely at my forehead or rather poor head. I shook my head lightly and rubbed my eyes. I peer my surroundings and saw the cold looking beauty in front of me pointed her dagger at my throat. I swallowed back my saliva and felt the cold sweat gushing at my back.

"If next time you will charge to the enemy and left your formation again. I will kill you first." She coldly says. Her brow greeted each other, and her eyes show a faint glint. She looks like a predator ready to devour her prey. I can feel the chill of killing intent sent towards me.

Because of her slightly loud voice, it caught other's attention. Other peoples in the surrounding laugh at the sight of Yeman scolded by a girl.

Yeman scratched his head while thinking; this girl must be talking about Eman, the previous owner of his body. Based on what he heard, Eman charged alone at the sight of enemies and opened a hole in their team formation and almost drag all of them to their death bed.

He doesn't know how to explain, but later on, he decided to ignore it. Even he knows the girl not meant him, but right now and from now on, he is going to be Eman. Still, being reprimanded in public by a younger girl wasn't a good feeling. This girl is only 17-year-old and Yeman at his 23 years of living. But right now, he was inside the body of a 17-year-old boy. So there was nothing he can do but to remained silent and nodded his head lightly.

"Mark it in your empty brain idiot," she said before leaving Yeman standing still in a daze.

Yeman turned his head left and right after the cold girl left.

*sigh*

He let a sighed escape from his mouth before trying to focus his mind on the upcoming mission. If he's not wrong, the skill known as Qi was a circulating life force inside the body; and to use the full potential of this skill, he needs to level up and train. Every level grants him 2skill points and 10stat points. But first, he must learn how to use the skill.

To activate his skill, he just needed to felt it and focused his mind; no need to cast the magic word or spoke aloud the skill name.

Unexpectedly Yeman noticed the atmosphere slightly changed; he glanced at the surroundings and witnesses different kinds of expressions worn by the soldiers' faces. Some have grim and solemn expression. And some shows determined and motivated faces.

Yeman caught a glimpse of the sun that started to peek. Later on, the commander in charge of this mission stepped to the front.

"I knew everyone lost their families, friends, and loved ones to the monster's fangs and nails. But we encourage our hearts to stand side by side. Struggle for hegemony! We are the owner of this land! Of this world! We must rise! Everyone, ready yourselves! Take your weapons! Bring victory and vengeance to our men who sacrifice their lives in order to reclaim our fallen lands! Let's Fight! Fight for hegemony! Fight for vengeance! For GLORY!!!" inspired by the commander.

While raising their arms and weapons in the air, the soldiers roared with vigor.

An earth-shattering war cry follows after the commander's inspirational speech.

He looks strong. Base on his figure Yeman thought this commander is at 40+ of age. He has short trim black hair. Slight beards on his face and have a large body build and at his back hung, a bastard sword. He wore a silver color full plated armor.

After the speech, everyone went to their respected squad.

Yman went to his squad but, he can't find uncle Ronny. He craned his neck to find the man but failed. Later on, uncle Ronny arrives with a frown on his face.

"Captain, what's the matter?" Ask by their tank Stonehard.

"Bad news." Uncle Ronny said.

"What is it old man?" asked by their support Leo.

"Our squad task will be... at the innermost part of Area 51." uncle Ronny said in a grim expression.

TSK! The cold girl clicks her tongue.

Yeman wanted to ask about the so-called Area 51 and why they suddenly look cynical. But, when Ronny noticed it, he tapped on his nephew's shoulder to make it quiet to avoid anyone from knowing he has amnesia.

Later on, uncle Ronny secretly explained about the so-called Area 51, also known as street 51. In this area was last seen the Ratmen Lord. That's not all, many soldiers lost their lives there. It is the nearest to the monster's lair which is located inside the tunnel of areas 52 and 53.

Everyone inspected their baggage before leaving. In Yeman's backpack, he spotted cloth for camping, 2 red liquid in the cylindrical transparent bottle as big as his finger, he thought these are potions. The last thing he found is a ration wrap in leaves. Maybe these leaves can preserve the food for a longer time. But, he doesn't recognize the leaves.

Yeman wore a light leather cloth, combat boots on his feet and armguard on his arms. He also wore leather headgear on his head. In hand can be seen a 5meter long spears, and in h.i.p.s hung a knife.

After everything's ready, everyone has started to depart.

"TSK," the cold looking beauty clicks her tongue when she walked past Yeman.

He followed after scratching his head. Deep inside, he was worried about the mission because there was a higher possibility that he dies.

"Ratmen Lord huh! This might be, what the old man meant last night" he whispered.

Yeman wanted to cry. He was just reincarnated and now going to experience life and death missions. He never expected this to happen in his whole life, but being sent to a body in the middle of the war is something beyond his expectations. Well, being reincarnated was already way above all expectations, so what' else he can expect? He cannot just claim now that he was a different persona and not Eman. They will think he was crazy and beyond help, and one more thing, he already told uncle Ronny about the amnesia.

"What will happen if... I die again?' Yeman whispered in a worried look before started to depart with his squad.
