The test for the adventure license was about to commence, and David found himself standing in the center of the training ground. As he introduced himself to the party that had arrived to evaluate his skills, he could feel the tension in the air.

Gareth, the warrior and leader of the party, took the lead in addressing David.

"This is our four-member team, and we are all A-rank adventurers. Our party holds an A-rank status as well," he explained, giving an air of confidence.

He revealed that they had been in town for some missions and received a request from the vice guild leader to conduct the trial.

David nodded, absorbing the information.

"I understand. So, what do I need to do?" he inquired, curious about the upcoming set of trials.

Gareth's expression turned more serious as he assessed David.

"Well, first, we need to see what you're capable of. Can you demonstrate your skills?" he asked, his confidence evident.

Gareth believed in his team's combat prowess and expected a challenging assessment.

David's face lit up with a calm smile.

"Certainly," he replied with a hint of assurance.

"Since there are four of you, how about I engage in one-on-one battles with each of you, within your respective domains?"

David proposed, displaying his confidence in his own abilities. His blessings had endowed him with a diverse range of skills, including combat, magic, healing, weapon-making, and medicinal knowledge. He saw no reason to doubt his capabilities.

Gareth's eyes widened in disbelief, his pride stung by David's casual suggestion.

"You must be delusional," he retorted, his voice filled with indignation.

The audacity of this newcomer claiming that he could take on all four of them one by one had struck a nerve.

Gareth couldn't help but think, "How can this guy just casually show up and make such a claim?"

"What do you mean by that?" David questioned, his confusion evident.

"Or do you mean you all will come at me together? I'm fine with either," he replied nonchalantly, unaware that his response was further bruising their pride.

Gareth's eyes narrowed, his gaze filled with irritation.

"So, you insist on going one-on-one? Do you even understand that they are mages and a healer? They can't fight like that," Gareth scoffed, his tone dripping with disdain.

He muttered under his breath, "Are you really that clueless?" refraining from further verbal confrontation.

"I understand perfectly," David calmly replied, his confidence unshaken.

"That's precisely why I'm suggesting that I do what they do." His self-assured demeanor showed that he had faith in his own abilities.

"Fine, we'll do it your way," Gareth grumbled, a hint of annoyance evident in his voice.

"I'll teach you some manners," he added, positioning himself for the impending battle.

David glanced at the party, who were now looking at him with a mixture of disbelief and regret. Their initial excitement had faded, replaced by the growing conviction that accepting this test request was a mistake.

They couldn't fathom how someone could excel in fighting, magic, and healing simultaneously. The very notion seemed implausible to them.

"I'll play with you first," Gareth retorted, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword, the glimmering silver armor adorning his figure catching the daylight.

"Okay, cool," David responded, his demeanor relaxed. However, a realization struck him—he hadn't brought a sword with him for the test.

"Hold on a minute," David said, his gaze scanning the surroundings as he sought a solution.

Eventually, his eyes settled on a particular spot, and he began walking in that direction.

"What are you doing? Scared already?" Gareth taunted, observing David's movements toward the entrance.

David made his way to the entrance, where he spotted a rack tucked away in a corner. It held several swords and training items.

With a deliberate stride, he approached the rack and selected a training sword, clutching it firmly in his hand as he retraced his steps toward Gareth.

"Sorry, I didn't bring any swords. I'll make one for myself later," David explained calmly, his words deliberate and unhurried.

Gareth burst into laughter, his patience stretched thin. He believed that David was simply wasting his precious time, coming unprepared for the test.

"Okay, you can start first," Gareth reluctantly conceded, wanting to give David a chance before he intended to overpower him.

Seizing the opportunity presented to him, David firmly grasped the training sword and executed a controlled swing. This time, he carefully regulated his power. As the sword sliced through the air, there was a moment of eerie silence that enveloped the surroundings.

"What did he even do?"

Onlookers laughed in disbelief, convinced that their skepticism had been justified. Some spectators even began to rise from their seats, convinced that this whole affair was nothing but a farce.

"Thud"

Then, suddenly, a resounding thud echoed through the air. Gareth crumpled to the ground, a crimson torrent of blood gushing from his chest. His chest armor lay shattered, unable to withstand the force delivered by David's seemingly innocuous swing.

"What just happened?" murmurs rippled through the crowd, their disbelief transformed into awe and bewilderment. Witnessing the seasoned warrior, Gareth, fall without even making a move left everyone stunned.

"Nya, Nya-yes, my master did it"

Luna's excitement bubbled over as she leaped onto air from her chair, unable to contain herself.

As a cat girl blessed by mana, Luna possessed heightened senses and vision. In that crucial moment, while everyone else remained oblivious, she keenly observed the events unfold.

She watched intently as David firmly gripped the sword and brought it down in a swift motion, unleashing a tremendous aura that surged forth from the blade and collided with Gareth's body in an instant. The speed and force of the attack were so astonishing that it caught everyone off guard.

"Elara, hurry and heal our leader!" Seraphina, one of the mages, urgently called out, her eyes wide with horror at the sudden turn of events.

"Wait, let me handle it," David interjected, abruptly halting Elara who was about to rush to Gareth's aid.

"What are you talking about? Are you trying to kill him?" Elara exclaimed, her anger and confusion evident in her voice.

"Allow me to heal him. Consider it my second test," David calmly responded.

His words caused Elara to step aside, and the eyes of everyone in the vicinity fixated on David, eagerly awaiting his next move. Some among them were skeptical, suspecting that he intended to finish the job.

"Heal," David spoke gently, his voice carrying a command.

As he uttered the word, a warm, golden light enveloped Gareth's chest, enshrouding the wound. Within mere seconds, the injury began to close and mend.

"How... how are you doing that?" Elara's voice trembled, a mixture of astonishment and disbelief.

David had managed to heal a grievous wound of such magnitude effortlessly, without even a hint of exhaustion in his mana.

For Elara, healing a wound of this severity would have drained her reserves and left her depleted, necessitating the use of potions and time to recover. Yet, David accomplished the feat effortlessly, surpassing the capabilities of even an S-rank healer.

"Are you alright?" David inquired as the healing process neared completion.

"Yes," Gareth replied, his voice filled with a blend of shame and reverence.

David's immense strength had left him in awe, not only for his remarkable combat prowess but also his exceptional healing abilities. This was far beyond anything Gareth had ever encountered.

"Shall we now proceed to the test of magic?" David proposed, his confidence undeterred.

"Yes, yes, indeed," the two mages stuttered in response, their voices laced with a mixture of trepidation and curiosity.

Despite their reservations, they were compelled to continue with the assessment, driven by the need to fulfill their licensing obligations and their genuine intrigue regarding David's true capabilities.

As the mages prepared a target for David to aim at, the anticipation in the air grew palpable. All eyes were on him, eager to witness the extent of his strength and mastery over magic.

David focused his gaze on the target set up by the mages. He took a deep breath, centering his energy and channeling his mana. The air around him seemed to shimmer as he tapped into his magical abilities. His proficiency in various disciplines gave him an advantage that few could match.

"Inferno Blast"

With a swift motion, David extended his hand towards the target, summoning the elements to his bidding.

A surge of power erupted from his palm, forming a swirling vortex of fire that soared towards the designated spot. The flames danced and crackled, leaving a trail of scorching heat in their wake.

Gasps of awe and amazement escaped the onlookers as they witnessed the display of David's magical prowess. The intensity and precision of his control over the elements were unparalleled. Even the seasoned mages couldn't help but feel a tinge of envy at his extraordinary abilities.

As the flames dissipated, leaving behind a charred mark on the target, David turned towards Seraphina and Elara, a gentle smile playing on his lips.
