0013: PARTING AWAY WITH FRIENDS (PART 3)

He stopped Bonn, who was trying to refute: "I will never allow you to ruin your own future. What I envisioned for you back then was the position my grandfather gave you today. Unfortunately I can no longer accept apprentices. If you stay with me, you can only know how to be a qualified servant. Bonn, you're already 20 years old, think more about yourself!"

Bonn lowered his head and refused to speak.

Hill looked at him sadly: Bonn had followed him since he was a child, and Hill was his belief and purpose in life. But he couldn't let Bonn stay here any longer.

Hill knew that sending Bonn away would only make him lonely inside the tower. Although neighbors, Frank's magic tower will not be as easygoing as here, and Bonn will not have the leisure to visit.

Hill couldn't always look after him. As for Frank, the more indifferent the better. And he didn't want to affect Adrian either.

The reason he gave to Frank earlier was expected, and Frank could accept it, but the real reason could never be said that his status as a warlock would hinder Bonn's future. Because the nanny's family was useless when a noble child became an adult, usually a soft-hearted master would let them free and find a better way out for them, which was typical among noble children. But if serving him would hinder the servant's future and he lets the person go, the servant who affects the master's thinking wouldn't end well.

Both Frank and Adrian were noblemen of this tradition. Hill noticed that Adrian had been scrutinizing Lina and finally decided that Hill was just soft-hearted and ignored it. But his feelings for Lina were not that deep. Lina loved Melanie the most, and the love she gave to him was a kind of complicated feeling; if Hill was just an ordinary child, he might feel touched. It's a pity that Hill was in his 40s in his previous life. He felt the most sincere parental affection, and he could tell the difference.

Only Bonn was determined to follow Hill since he was a child, thinking about Hill every moment. He even dared to hide something from his parents for Hill. He was Hill's most important childhood playmate, and what Bonn gave to him was wholehearted affection for more than a decade.

Adrian always thought he taught Bonn magic for Lina's sake. But Hill, as a person who grew up in modern society, has distinct likes and dislikes and has long been accustomed to giving as much in return. If it were just Lina's family, he would arrange for them to stay in the Salar capital instead of taking them with him.
