Supernatural Investigation 101: Chronicles Of Nakashima Wakana

He stops her from eating the dumpling. He has never seen anyone who thinks this l.e.w.dly about food and a man. He grips her mind and commands her to close her eyes. "Noona, close your eyes. Think about your husband and how much you want to eat dumplings with him. Think about how much you want to...eat him. You can think l.e.w.dly without any limit. I will take you to the demon lord."

She starts screaming in her mind for her husband. 

[SUNG JUN, I AM STARVING FOR YOU.]

Choi Minho feels like crying. He has never met a person like her. Her husband's rival is food. "Noona, how could a l.u.s.tful woman like you cross l.u.s.t easily? Why are you mixing food and your husband? I feel bad for him."

They manage to reach the demon lord. In the end, they get kicked out of Gluttony for offending the demon lord for disrespecting food.

Going to the fourth circle is easy now. Since Fang Aisa is a half-demon, she can easily open the door to the next circle. Minho can't stop himself from reading her mind, though it's quite disrespectful. Her husband is always in the back of her mind. 

He's envious. 

Is there ever going to be someone who would love him that much? He also wants someone like her. 

Maybe her thoughts are affecting him a lot. 

They arrive in the city of gold and diamond -- Greed. Choi Minho frowns. He can't read the demons' minds. Is it because they are mid-tier demons? Strong enough to keep him out of their minds?

It also means that they have something to hide.

Greed has no effect on Fang Aisa or him. She's greedy for sure. However, she's greedy only for her husband's love. Choi Minho shakes his head, bothered by the thoughts of this woman. Never mind! He doesn't want someone who only thinks about him like that. This woman is clearly obsessed with her husband. In her eyes, there's nobody as perfect as her husband.

It's scaring him a little.

"Lady Jar'Golen, you are the great-granddaughter of Lord Wrath."

So, she's Demon Lord Wrath's descendant. Choi Minho listens to their conversation. This explains why she's able to open the door between the circles easily. But the demons around them are acting suspiciously. Who is this oracle demon?

[Minho?]

Choi Minho knits his brows when he hears a voice. He looks over his shoulders. Who is it? That's not his brother's voice for sure. He traces the voice to a man in one of the waiting rooms. Before he can look deeper into the man, Fang Aisa calls for him. He loses his concentration and follows her to the domain of Wrath.

As soon as they step inside Wrath Domain, Fang Aisa is captured by the demons and thrown inside an imprisoning circle with shields around her body. Her body becomes lifeless. Flaming snakes wrap around her body. He realizes that he can't hear her thoughts anymore. 

A female demon grabs his arms when he tries to run toward Fang Aisa. His ability is nothing compared to the demon in front of him. 

"I know what you are thinking," The petite woman says to him. "There is a reason why they are doing this."

"Who are you?" Min Ho asks her, frustrated. "Why are they doing this to her?"

"She is the granddaughter of Jar'golen." The woman grins at him, "My name is Orana. I am the oracle demon."

The oracle demon tells him about Jar'Golen and Fang Aisa's mother. Minho wonders what to do. Just then, he feels the man's presence. 

So, Noona's husband is here. Choi Minho relaxes his shoulders. It should be alright now. That person is a heavenly-blessed shaman. 

He questions the oracle, "By the way, can you see my future?"

"Hell is breaking and you are worried about your future?" Orana yells.

"I am looking for someone, Pretty Noona." Choi Minho beams at her with big round shiny eyes. Being a kid has its advantages. Usually, women melt when he does this. The oracle is not different. Her mental defence becomes weak. Choi Minho slips into her mind and compels her to see his future. If he sees where his brother is, he can go to that place.

"Okay." She temporarily forgets about the shattering hell and chaos. She bends down a bit and holds his shoulders. "I will look into your future."

Orana looks into his eyes. Her eyes turn white, looking at something in the distance. Min Ho delves deeper into her mind to see the visions.

He finds himself standing at the roof. The sky is bleeding red. A female ghost is standing in front of him. Her hair is long and dark. She is looking back at him sadly, but she doesn't acknowledge him. The sun rays dance around her, making her shine like an angel. The edges of her white dress flutters with the wind. 

In the next instant, he is back in hell. He sees his brother standing in front of him with a smile.

Min Ho takes a deep breath as he pulls himself out of Orana's head.

"Why did you stop?" Orana rubs her eyes, clearing away the visions. "There is more. Your life is quite interesting. Don't you want to know why?"

"I just wanted to know where my brother is." Seeing the future is risky. His sister-in-law can also sense the future. "Thank you, Pretty Noona."

"Your brother is paying for his sins in the purgatory." Orana informs him, "His time is going to be over soon. He will reincarnate in one of the new worlds. He won't remember anything about his past life."

He won't let his brother go to another world. Choi Minho looks at the sky that is tearing apart. The barriers between the circles of hell are broken. Chaos is beginning. He should distract this nosy oracle. "By the way, why is the sky breaking?"

A lot of demons would go to other worlds. He frowns. Noona's husband has freed the devil. Noona is on the verge of death.

Choi Minho goes to the desperate man and tells him how to save Fang Aisa. They are in hell. All the circles are gone. "Cross the hell and become immortal with her. If you don't do it soon, she will die before crossing the hell."

Noona's husband glances at him. "What about you?" 

"I have to look for my brother." Minho smiles at him. "You and Noona owe me big time. Treat me something good to eat when I meet you next time." If they meet again.

He watches Sung Jun escape Hell with Fang Aisa. Hopefully, she won't die.

The oracle demon comes to him and taps his shoulder. "You should leave this place soon." 

"I have to find my brother." Min Ho repeats in a low voice. His brother is in purgatory. 

"Alright, I warned you." Orana puckers her lips, observing the fight between the demons. "I am going to another world. Earth is too boring for my taste."

Min Ho heads toward Purgatory without looking back at her. The demons are either busy fighting or running away. The other challengers are trying to find an escape. Choi Minho doesn't stop at any place. He doesn't reveal the door to immortality to any other challenger either. It's not his obligation. Anyone who dies here will become a demon. 

The little boy reaches the end of hell. There are several doors. Most of them are locked. He releases his breath when he sees the yellow door with a sign of purgatory. All the souls that are waiting for trials are in this place.

He turns the knob and opens the door to a narrow corridor with low light. His steps are slow and reluctant. His heart is thumping loudly. He reaches the end. There's another door waiting for him to open. He pulls it open and enters the hall.

The hall is endless. Countless people are sitting on chairs in a row with dull faces. He squeezes his eyes, cancelling out the noises in his head. Some of these souls have been waiting here for hundreds of years. Their past lives decide when and where they will be born. He takes a deep breath to calm himself and searches for his brother among the crowd. 

His brother is truly here. Choi Minho curls his fingers. His knees feel weak. He can't seem to find any strength to walk toward his brother. 

"Minho." 

It's his brother's voice.
