As they leave the building, Nakashima Wakana feels a sense of loss in her heart. She should be happy. Why isn't she happy? This is what she wants. Isn't? The memories that he left means nothing to her. It would have been better to not remember anything. Then, she wouldn't feel this day.

"Wakana." Sei nudges her. "Taxi is here."

Without a word, she gets into the taxi with him. When he sits down beside her, she leans on him, resting her head on his shoulder. Memories of Choi Minho were manipulated and erased. But everything that happened with Minami Sei is untouched by that man. So, her feelings for Sei is true. She loves Sei. Only Sei.

"It's the first day of our married life." Sei beams at her. After they returned, she didn't head home. She reminded him that they were supposed to get married after their return. They registered their marriage. Now, they are heading toward his apartment as a married couple.

"Is it?" The taxi driver exclaims in joy. "Congratulations! You look right for each other… Beautiful."

"Thank you." Minami Sei grins at the driver. A part of him is relieved. After thinking for a few rounds, he had figured out who Choi Minho could be. The frame of his body is similar to the man he saw at the apartment building with the phantom rapist. That man was also the same man who saved Wakana at the cemetery around seven years ago. The relationship between Choi Minho and Wakana is different. He has been anxious ever since he figured it out. But they are married now. Choi Minho is also gone.

Nakashima Wakana closes her eyes, pretending to be asleep. Her head is filled with hazy thoughts. A sense of being lost and emptiness has been following her since the moment Choi Minho disappeared from her life. She loves Sei. She wasn't moved by Choi Minho's confession in that memory. She shouldn't be thinking of that demon. She loves Sei. That's why she married him. There's no point in delaying the marriage if two people love each other. They are ready to be together. Choi Minho is not a part of her life. She has also pushed him out of her thoughts. That bitter kiss, those unfeeling touches, that vulnerability when he was hurting her, and the blood followed something nameless that crumbled between him and her. The truth was unexpected. He made his decision. She made her decision. There was no choice from the beginning. She loves Sei.

They reach Sei's apartment. Nakashima Wakana moves mechanically. Sei senses that something is wrong with her. After she woke up, she is different. Nishimura Soichiro told him that Wakana failed the evaluation. She was kicked out of the supernatural investigation agency. She could be depressed because of that.

After taking the shower, she lies down on the bed and sighs. When she was here last time, she didn't notice. The ceiling has a mirror. Why is that? Does Sei like watching himself when he wakes up?

In her reflection, her eyes are dull, seemingly lacking a soul. Her heart is missing something. But she would rather stay like this than admit something forbidden.

"Wakana." Sei's voice wakes her out of the dazed state. "Your phone is ringing."

"Oh." She sits up and takes the phone from his hand. It's her elder sister. Damn! Didn't she get married without telling her? Wakana gulps. She's doomed, isn't she? Why was she acting crazy? She should have informed her family first. They are going to bury her alive.

"Is something wrong?" Sei stares at her calmly. Her face is pale. Her lips are trembling. Is she cold? He wraps the blanket around her. The phone stops ringing. Wakana takes a breath of relief. Her draconian sister will chop her on the kitchen table before she buries her in the cemetery.

"You don't tell me anything." Sei frowns at her. "Am I your husband or not?"

"Ah…!" Wakana blinks her eyes. Her arms are rendered unmovable. She's a blanket burrito with a phone in her hands inside the blanket. "Why did you do this?"

"You should have stopped me when I was wrapping it around you." He grabs her shoulders and pushes her on the bed, laying on the top of her. She squirms beneath him, trying to wiggle out like a worm.

"Not going to let you go." Sei chuckles, holding her tightly. He looks into her eyes. His lips curl up into a mischievous smile. "Wife."

"About that!" Wakana curves her brows. "Let's keep it a secret."

"What?" The smile vanishes from his face in an instant. His voice is low and inquiring. "Why?"

Because she married too soon. Who marries someone like this? She was too affected by everything that happened to her. Eloping with someone like this is akin to axing her foot. She must hide it until the end. "My family needs time."

He gives her a nod. They married too sudden. It might be difficult for her family to accept. He had no family before he married her. From now on, she's his only family. A weightless warm feeling surges in his c.h.e.s.t. He beams at her. "Our family."

Seeing the happiness on his face, Wakana smiles at him. "Yes, our family. But I need some time before I reveal it to them. I am sure that they will accept my decision." After raising chaos. "They will surely love you." After they have killed her with words like a thousand times. "I totally don't regret marrying you." It's not like she can undo it. Besides, it's normal to get married. "Let's have a wedding after they find out." She lets out a nervous laugh.

"Mhm." He bends down his head and kisses her lips gently. It's soft as the morning sunlight shimmering on the window glass, pouring into the room. Her lips reciprocate his warmth. She parts her lips slowly, letting his warm tongue slide into her mouth. He stares into her half-closed drunken amber eyes, losing himself into her. As the turbulent heat rises in his body, he grasps her chin and swipes his tongue across her mouth, s.u.c.k.i.n.g her tongue.

She closes her eyes, struggling to breathe as her face burns red. In that instant, his eyes flash red. He releases her chin and takes a deep breath. In the next instant, the blanket is removed. He takes away the phone and tosses it away. Taking rapid breaths, he looks at her. "Wakana."

Wakana sees the overwhelming l.u.s.t in his eyes. Her cheeks enflame. They are a married couple. They have done it already. It's not a surprise. But a part of her is hesitating. God knows why. She bites her lower lip. She loves him. He loves her. They are married. Telling herself repetitively might erase the hesitation in her heart. It's normal to make love. A pair of turquoise eyes flash in her mind.

No!

She has no such feelings for that man. She wraps her arms around Sei's neck and pulls him closer, meeting his welcoming lips. She penetrates his mouth with her tongue, playing a game of chase and seek with his teasing scalding tongue. She hears the sound of her shirt being torn. However, it doesn't seem alarming at the moment. Her b.a.r.e bosoms are cupped by his calloused palms. She tenses her shoulders as her b.r.e.a.s.ts are kneaded into various shapes by him. It hurts. She can't tell where. Instead of burning hot, her blood is turning cold. She doesn't understand why. Those beautiful turquoise eyes are haunting her mind. She kisses him harder. That's right! She loves Sei.
