She Decided Not To Get Revenge

Shaurillin was willing to live for Katlena, even if she despised him and tried to kill him.

It was completely natural.

He isn’t the Marquis of Lacrivia, and elves aren’t a race that wants to get out of debt the quickest way possible.

This is because, despite the fact that Shaurillin lived in human territory, he is never human. 

He is still an elf who feels the distance of life while watching the sun rise and set over the Holy Land, and he lives in the same way every day.

But how is Katlena Agreta behaving now?

Katlena was a nice person. She appeared to be really concerned about Shaurillin’s comfort, and she made an effort to be sensitive of the circumstances to alleviate the perplexity and concern over his rest. 

Katlena was literally greeting Shaurillin with a cheerful and welcoming attitude. In some ways, more so than before.

Katlena had no reason to do what she did to Shaurillin. It started with personal grudges, the same may be said for more public reasons. 

Under Katlena’s kindness, the current office of prime minister was kept, and it was a position that could not truly be Katlena’s superior.

Shaurillin is merely the ultimate judge and nothing more than another spectacle in terms of form. 

He was now more than qualified to be referred to as the “next finance minister”, rather than the “Prime Minister” now.

Shaurillin, like Isaac Mandera, could never compare to Katlena.

In front of Katlena, Shaurillin was not a superior with unique authority. They are standing side by side as ministers, no matter how good they are.

Katlena was in a position where she could handle things without honoring Shaurillin, and indeed, she would have raised the name of the “Iron-blooded Duchess”, it was just that Katlena was out of luck and didn’t act like that.

So, what’s the deal?

Katlena felt that the gorgeous and shabby-looking High Elf was great and cool when she was a kid.

For the girl, her friendship with the elf was a source of pride, and she was ecstatic anytime she heard about the mysteries of nature and the fairy that other children were unaware of, so she closely followed the Shaurillin. 

Shaurillin was Kat’s favorite friend when the attachment relationship started. That’s all there is to it.

Kat preferred Shaurillin to her parents, but it didn’t mean she ignored them in favor of Shaurillin. Shaurillin effectively abandoned Katlena Agreta in a world devoid of anyone to love.

Katlena isn’t weird if she decides not to hold grudges against Shaurillin. 

The fairy is likewise aware of human land’s secular meanness, but she recognizes the trajectory of ludicrous forgiveness and humanity that can only happen on human land.

The purple eyes of the wise race, on the other hand, saw a burning resentment in Katlena’s eyes. Her words of lavish welcome sounded like desperate desperation.

Katlena Agreta has obviously not forgotten. She even cautioned herself not to misinterpret the fact that she had been forgiven. 

Katlena Agreta decided not to seek vengeance, but she also decided not to forgive. So, where did her difficult-to-understand words and acts come from?

“For what?” 

Elves had been watching some of Katlena’s inexplicable actions for a few weeks, as though pondering them. 

Katlena Agreta welcomed Shaurillin and exploited his illusion as an excuse to beat up on political tyrants. While concealing her informal and intimate relationship with King Ilinai, she behaved quietly so Shaurillin wouldn’t notice.

Despite the fact that she has never made her relationship with King Ilinai public, she does so in some way, and she does not appear to wish to hide it. 

Miro could examine the doubtful magical abilities of her four assistants, so she purposefully gave it to him in front of her. 

Shaurillin, who has no person of his own, must have known that she would find her own as a temporary measure and surreptitiously construct her own power, but she isn’t closing her eyes..

She asked Shaurillin to dine after Isaac’s visit, and she even left her seat on purpose, using Sia to see her off. Shaurillin does not believe it is an unintentional action. 

It wasn’t a coincidence to begin with. She purposefully left Shaurillin alone with Luke, to some extent strategically.

Katlena seemed to be guiding Shaurillin somewhere during the last two weeks. Katlena may have been the driving force behind the chain of events that followed Shaurillin and her reunion. 

Shaurillin is in the process of being hauled somewhere. Maybe somewhere Katlena wishes to go.

Shaurillin, on the other hand, had no intention of avoiding the induction for the time being. He remembered wandering the woodland with Katlena in the past and returned his gaze to Count Agreta’s blood-soaked mansion’s huge hall. 

He is prepared to murder everyone at the mansion, leaving only the girl confined inside, with as many censorship placed into Katlena’s door handle as he did at the time. 

Since then, he had never discovered the swords he had left on Katlena’s door, and he had yet to return the slaughter swords, which he had drawn in 600 years that day.

‘When does she have to keep the beat for him, and when does she have to let go of her voice?’ 

After being young with a careless notion, a slight smile around his mouth vanished. Before the brightest dawn, there were indications of the reddest dawn.

According to Merlin, Katlena’s current attitude toward Prime Minister Inborgia was odd, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Katlena would have operated the same way whether or not there was another “high-level” competent official besides Shaurillin. 

At the same time, it was odd because Shaurillin was the opponent, not anyone else.

The public avoids Katlena, referring to her as a cold-blooded person, and fears her, referring to her as an iron-blooded Duchess. 

She was named the Red Duke because she was covered in blood, or a drinker of hell fire because she recited a magical cruelty of burning a human to the bones. 

She was well-known for never forgiving anyone who mentioned an invisible or tangible sword to her, whether static or assassin. 

Shaurillin swung both a black intangible and a real sword 18 years ago, threatening Katlena for whatever reason. 

Katlena didn’t seem to understand the point in reducing the resentment sentence to just Shaurillin.

At the same time, it was likely that Katlena Agreta did not respond to Shaurillin in any way. As a result, it was weird from Merlin’s perspective while also being nothing strange.

Katlena acted like a human being who had actually lost her human heart at times, according to Merlin’s observations.

When Merlin first met Katlena, she was still too little to be called a girl.

Katlena was 18 years old at the time. Nobody knew why Katlena appeared on the southern coast while finishing her studies at the Wizard Tower in the capital’s northwest.

Merlin had also heard and was aware of the rumor. 

As a result, Merlin mistook Katlena’s abrupt suggestion of becoming her assistant for an attempt to exploit her resentment. The assassination of Shaurillin Inborgia’s or something like that.

Katlena Agreta, on the other hand, appointed Merlin as her secretary. Merlin didn’t comprehend why she suddenly caught Katlena’s eyes.

The old Count’s mansion still has a few decent photos, but she made no attempt to bring them to her mansion or office. Because Katlena was so upset, she didn’t even want to see the people she missed and loved. She was just literally, indifferent.

Katlena Agreta appeared to be a remarkable and ruthless individual. Unlike public opinion, Merlin claimed that the void of human warmth she had lost manifested itself not only in “treating others cruelly,” but also in “not loving or cherishing anything”.

The tragic end of her family did not appear to matter much to Katlena. 

Because Katlena’s resentment of Shaurillin was ultimately an attack on her parents, rather than a direct attack on Katlena, there was a notion that it meant nothing to her, as she was not concerned with her parents.

Merlin has even more misgivings after recalling the succession of pleasant deeds that occurred between her and the fairy following Shaurillin’s return. 

‘Is Katlena’s hatred towards Shaurillin simply vengeance for a “tough childhood” that ends with a little taunting and harassment?’

Katlena is an excellent master, but she did not impress Merlin as a person. 

Merlin was not someone who would betray Katlena simply because she was cruel, but she did believe there was no need to worship Katlena Agreta’s humanity so much.

Merlin was not a dedicated Katlena disciple. She was simply a devoted individual.

In other words, Merlin meant that she didn’t have to show signs of stress, weird expressions, or unrealistic expectations after seeing the reluctant portrait in Katlena’s hand.

However, just because Merlin seemed unconcerned about the journey didn’t mean she couldn’t stop her eyes from naturally sliding into the image.

The former Count Agreta’s home was reorganized after the welcoming reception. 

Katlena, who came to the scene every now and then to keep an eye on things, brought a miniature photograph with her. She’s now attempting to create a gorgeous framing for the unexpected photo. Among the items she owned, it is also the most valuable table frame.
