Chapter 1. [Episode 13]
“Entrance Ceremony Greetings with Magic”

A few days later.

I put on the school uniform and mingled with those who had been accepted this year.

The uniforms, which are black like the imperial military uniforms, are not very comfortable. The upper body design for both men and women is almost the same, with boys wearing pants and girls wearing skirts.

It seems that the color of the school emblem engraved on the chest of the uniform identifies the grade, with first grade shining in bronze, second grade in silver, and third grade in gold.

Then the entrance ceremony was held in the schoolyard and mock training hall of the Mildiana Military School, where President Ludio gave his address and other instructions.

I was in a daze because I wasn’t interested in anything else when suddenly I was called by my name.

[Now, Theodore, the student representative. Please make your presentation here in front of everyone.]

[Huh?]

[You didn’t hear? You have won first place in all categories of swordsmanship, martial arts, and magic. As a representative of the incoming students, please share your thoughts with all the students of the military school.]

I go next to the president of the university and he blurts out an explanation. I see….the thoughts, huh? Nothing in particular. It was easy.

The total enrollment would be approximately 700 or more students. In the front row are the most senior students, behind them are the second-year students, and the last in line seem to be the students enrolling this year. I also saw some people I recognized from the entrance exam.

Some of the students in the front row whispered to each other.

[That’s the same level of heroism as the heroes of 500 years ago? That’s not true.]

[He’s a weak-looking kid, and he’s not even an aristocrat]

[A filthy commoner and a good one.]

I scooted over to the podium and sat down. I crossed my legs and looked down at all the students.

Most of the students froze with expressions on their faces as if they were trying to say they had seen something incredible.

Let’s try to provoke them anyway. It’s not every day you get a chance to tell the whole school.

[Well, the president of …… said something about me, but my name is Theodore, and I’m entering military school this year. Nice to meet you.]

Not only the students but also the teachers around began to buzz. It’s not surprising, since it’s too rude. Only President Ludio is smiling in amusement.

[I took swordsmanship, martial arts, and magic and came in first in all three, but that record hasn’t been broken in 500 years, has it?]

I look at the students in the front row.

[It was so easy, wasn’t it? Why couldn’t the older students who look at me with disdain there do this? Is it because they’re weak?]

Those whose heads were boiling at the remark said it out loud.

[You! Don’t get smart with me, you commoner……!]

[How dare a freshly enrolled kid say that much!]

[I guess they were just small fry this year!]

Not that last one. The kids this year had something to be seen. At least, more than you.

A glance and a smile are all it takes to convey this.

[Yes, how dare you be too provocative!]

[Lieutenant General! You should stop ……!]

[Well, well, we’ll just keep an eye on him a little longer.]

The teachers began to make a fuss. It doesn’t matter. It’s a fact.

Well, I guess it’s a bit of a whitewash to keep this kind of provocation going on forever. I can’t even find a reason to open my mouth to someone as good as a rock.

So, after condensing just a little bit of the magical power that was coursing through my body, I unleashed it on all those around me.

Instantly, the seniors who had been ranting and raving crumbled to the ground. Some fell to their knees, some were knocked flat on their faces, and others fell to the ground.

It was not only the students who collapsed. Several of the teachers also collapsed on the spot.

It is lamentable. Can’t you even withstand such a minute amount of magic?

None of the teachers who did not collapse, except President Ludio, who was smiling happily as if nothing had happened, had their faces hardened and were breaking out in a cold sweat.

I looked again at all the students. Only five people were standing there. All of them were standing around the last row.

A red-haired young man, two beast tribe daughters, an elf girl, and a dragon tribe boy. To my surprise, all of them were familiar faces who could withstand my wave of magic power.

Frankly, it’s disappointing, because I was hoping to find some interesting ones in the second and third years, but all I found were guys who could barely stay conscious in those areas anymore.

I let out a sigh and then says.

[If you can’t withstand this level of magic, you can’t be a soldier, can you? You are too weak, you know.]

There was no longer any room for criticism. Everyone seemed to have lost such leeway.

[If you have a problem with me, you can come and beat me anytime you want. It doesn’t have to be fair. You can go after me in the dark, assassinate me, whatever you want to do. I expect you to entertain me a little. That’s all.]

Finally, with the greatest provocation, I stepped down from the podium.

It was the president who greeted me. He shook his shoulders and laughed.

[It was exhilarating. I’ve never seen anyone go this far before. You might want to be careful on the streets at night from now on.]

[It’s boring without that kind of excitement.]

[It was truly delightful. But …… as for me, it is a pleasure, but not so for others. Especially the most senior students whom you were the first to provoke, many of whom come from powerful aristocratic families. You may regret it later.]

[I can take the fire that comes my way.]

I don’t care what kind of force they use to come here.

Instead, I decided to tell the president something that had been bothering me for a long time.

[President Ludio. I have a favor to ask–]

Eventually, after the entrance ceremony, I was transferred to the appropriate class as a first-year student.

When I asked about the current special student quota, apparently there are only a few perks such as free use of the school’s dormitory, a certain amount of money given during the school year, and a much higher chance of becoming an officer once you graduate and become a military officer. It is almost the same as what Rena mentioned before.

I doubt if it was a good way to pass the time, but I’m sure there were some promising first-year students. But it sucks that all of them ended up in a different class than me.

I wanted to see up close how everyone learns in school.

And it didn’t look promising for the others. ……

Well, now is not the time to start complaining.

At any rate, I hope to see all of them face to face again and share their thoughts.

I would especially like to hear more about what they think about the demon tribe.

The more hate the better, but what will be their answer?

So, after listening to the instructor in charge of my class talk about his plans and such, I immediately headed to a certain place.
