~Demon empire soldier~

A few days before the battle.

We received orders early in the morning to prepare to move out westwards using the wyverns. This was a highly classified mission that may very well be the most important mission we have under taken.

Our objective is to travel west to first intercept the Holy kingdoms fleet and destroy it and second to establish an outpost on the 'lost continent'. At first we were all surprised when the twin captains told us this information but we quickly all came to the same conclusion. We can't allow the Holy kingdom to occupy this new land.

We had been preparing for a few days to undergo this mission by preparing the wyverns and the supplies. We have to make sure that this mission runs smoothly and make sure we don't fail.

Then the morning that we departed came and the sky was filled with saddled and armoured wyverns that are the pride of the demon empire army. We flew nonstop until we had reached a good stopping point on the western coastline. We stopped to allow the wyverns to rest and gather information from the spy about enemy movements.

We couldn't just attack the fleet while they were in the docks or in the proximity on the Holy kingdom or we would be compromised. Thus we followed the fleet till they arrived at the 'lost continent'.

As we arrived the twin captains gave us our orders. The twin captains are a pair of brothers who have shown their combat capability and impressed the demon empire nobles. One of the brothers wears a black suit of armour while the other wears a white set.

The one in the black armour is called Dan and he is known in the empire for his skills in the spear. Under his armour he has long black hair with a pair of black eyes. He also has a pair of bat like black wings protruding from his back.

The other brother is called Jamie and under his armour he is the exact opposite of Dan despite both being twins. He has short white hair and very light eyes that are hard to tell the colour of. He like his brother has a pair of wings that are white in colour. Jamie is known for his one handed sword and shield skills.

Despite the visual differences they are very close to one another and they also share their intellect. Stupid. Yes you heard. They are both stupid in anything but combat.

But despite them being idiots they know what they are doing on a battlefield so we all follow their orders to the letter. Anyways we had revived orders to do hit and run attacks on the sh.i.p.s to damage them and then we can board them to kill all soldiers.

So with that said we carried out our attacks on the sh.i.p.s heavily damaging about 30% of the sh.i.p.s. However once we had done this they had decided to use living shields knowing that we would be more hesitant to attack them. Despicable methods that just makes ones stomach turn in anger.

With the methods they used we had to be more careful in our attacks making sure to minimise the casualties of the innocents. We had come up with a plan to try to sneakily drop soldiers into the water as we descend to attack so that they could climb onto the sh.i.p.s and attack these 'things' from behind.

As we were going to put this plan into motion a flash of silver was coming from one of this sh.i.p.s closest to shore. We assumed that someone on that ship was preparing a high tier Lightning attack so we quickly rushed over to stop the cast.

But as we arrived it was like watching a one sided battle. On the middle of the ship stood a cloaked figure that was effortlessly dealing with some of the Holy kingdoms best soldiers that they had to offer. With just one swing of their arms caused heads to fly and blood to stain the deck. Fortunately whoever it was was spearing the living shields and was only killing the soldiers.

This continued at an incredible rate with the cloaked figure jumping from ship to ship while another cloaked figure would take the hostages off the ship towards the land. This was happening faster than what we could see. It was both amazing and terrifying at the same time.

~Iris point of view~

Hmm I was kind of expecting this to be a somewhat more challenging fight but they are all weak. Disappointing. Yes I know my very strong compared to the other races but I'm not even displaying more than 30% of my full capabilities here. The strongest soldiers here would not even pose a problem even on a off day for me.

Boring. But well at least I get to know and understand the fighting style of some of the other races. So I guess not all is a loss as well as I am able to gain some followers which Sylvie is currently taking care of. Sylvie knows that I can change humanoid races into vampires that will follow my orders and be loyal to me.

She had told me this is a good chance to gain followers which she said would help further down the line. What she meant by that I don't really know but I guess it would allow me to expand my territory as one of the ways to expand this is to have people living in my territory.

I should really build a mini town at the palace area for them to live I guess. Oh well back to killing. Because at the moment I don't have a metal weapon on me I'm using my magic and claws to kill the enemy. Now I'm not saying this is a bad thing but I wouldn't mind using a weapon that I could swing about. I mean it could look cool right?

Well I'll think about this later in the meantime I need to move onto the next ship. Let's do this before they can retreat.

Iris continued her massacre jumping from ship to ship. One Holy kingdom soldier had gotten around behind Iris as he slashed at her with a silver dagger in hand. Iris had seen this and deflected the blow, which she then proceeded to grab the dagger out of his hand and swiftly stuck it into the mans temple. This caused blood to splash on her which had caused her to become slightly hungry.

However Iris wouldn't drink the blood of a man unless she was absolutely forced to. She doesn't like men after all. After the killing continued she had unintentionally done the job for the demon empire that was now watching her with both awe and fear. This person could kill them all was the only thought of the remaining demon soldiers.

As the battle came to an end the other cloaked figure, Sylvie, appeared beside Iris as she spoke out loud to address the empire soldiers of what is going to happen.

-To all demon empire soldiers we shall spare your lives but in exchange we want you to leave this continent and tell your king a message from us.

At this point everyone was all ears to what she was saying although they were still dazed by her voice.

-The lost continent is for no one to claim expect for our empire that had already laid claim to. We are a empire that is not know to the outside works, well at least until now and we wish for good relations between the two empires.

At this point even Iris was confused. What empire on this continent I thought it was only us two? And why is she taking like she is affiliated with said empire? I though she was originally from the republic?

-If the demon king wishes to have a further discussion on the relations between the two please tell him to send an invitation to our queen. Queen Iris of the Crimson empire.

Wha? WWWHHAATT!!?? What is she playing at?! I'm a queen!? Since when and how did this come about? And what's with the name? Crimson empire?

If you can't tell I have no part in this okay? I'll have to ask Sylvie about what she's planning. I don't know why but I can feel a headache coming on. Seems like I could be getting busy urgh.
