Return Of A Star

One of Lin Jiao's classmates stepped up after hearing the ringtone. "Hey, I know who phone that belongs to, its Lin Jiao's." She said.

"What! So Lin Jiao sent the text to Li Ling."

"That's what's it looks like, but the question is why." Another girl said.

Qi DaiYu with her arms crossed, glared at Lin Jiao. "Everyone! The answer is very simple and clear." She said. Everyone looked at Qi DaiYu in confusion. "Lin Jiao sent that text because she already planned something to harm Miss Li Hua."

"No! I didn't plan anything! I'm innocent!" Lin Jiao yelled. Smirking, "Really? If that's the case why did you send such a misleading text to Li Ling?" She asked. "I-i-i..." "No one would send a text warning someone unless they knew of the trouble beforehand." Qi DaiYu said in a clear voice.

Li Hua who had a sad expression looked at Lin Jiao, "Miss Lin, you are Lingling's best friend. Why would you do such a thing?" She asked. Lin Jiao who was turning pale, kept shaking her head and repeating, "I didn't do it," over and over again. Li Hua sighed and looked, "Lingling did you know what she planned or why she would want to harm me." She asked with a sad voice.

Li Ling glanced at Lin Jiao and knew she couldn't save her friend unless she wanted to pull herself into this mess. Shaking her head, "I had no idea she was planning to do such a thing, elder sister." She said in a small voice. Li Hua gave an understanding nod, but in the inside, she was sneering at her cousin. She already knew that if Li Ling had to save someone, she would never risk her well-being.

"Well, it seems the mystery has been solved. Lin Jiao planned to harm Li Hua but in the end, was caught in her own trap." Qi DaiYu declared while glaring at Lin Jiao. Qi DaiYu's words seemed to awaken Lin Jiao's anger once more, "No! I didn't do anything! Li Hua! You pushed me and now trying to frame me, just amitted it!" She screamed looking like a crazy person.

One guest who was quietly listening and watching the event unfold stepped forward with her phone. "I don't believe she pushed you. In fact, it looked like you entered the room with the help of your employee." Xi Xinye said in a calm voice. Now everyone gave the cool beauty a confused look, which had Xi Xinye shaking her head. Bringing up her phone, it showed the security footage for the last hour.

In the video, everyone could clearly saw the four girls entering the room, then shortly after Li Hua exited the room and went in the direction of the restroom. Then, Jin Singtan came and entered the room with a key card. A few minutes later from a different camera, they saw Lin Jiao exit the banquet and leaned against the wall. A waiter who was passing by saw her and they spoke for a minute and he then helped her toward the room. Everyone paid close attention to see if Lin Jiao's words were true and that she was actually pushed into the room. However, the video shows that once the waiter opened the door and stood to the side, Lin Jiao stumbled into the room. Lastly, the video fast-forwards and showed everyone coming to the room at the result of the text.

When the video was finished, everyone looked at Lin Jiao with disappointment, shock, and anger. Li Hua started to tear up, "Miss Lin, why? Why did you plot against me? I only met you recently and never harmed you, so why?" She said in an aggrieved voice.

Lin Jiao couldn't say a word, the video clearly showed everyone the truth. Even if she wished to keep denying, she couldn't explain the text. Remembering that she was helping her friend, Lin Jiao looked at Li Ling, hoping that the latter would speak up for her. Li Ling who felt Lin Jiao's stare just avoided her eyes and clenched her fist and Harding her heart. Of course, Li Ling felt bad but she couldn't risk this tarnishing her reputation, so Lin Jiao would have to take the full brunt of everyone's anger.

Li Hua watched with cold eyes at Lin Jiao realize that she was finished, she was also blessing her luck that she learned about the secret entrance. Thankfully AI told her, so she was able to make a nice alibi using the CCTVs. Xi Xinye crossed her arms and gave Lin Jiao a cold stare, "Just as Miss Li said, no of us know why you wished to harm her but I hope you're prepared for the consequences ."

A pale-faced Lin Jiao turned and looked at Xi Xinye, "What do you mean?" She asked in a shaky voice. Xi Xinye sighed and motion toward Jin Singtan, "While most in our circle know that Jin Singtan is a playboy, I highly doubt he would drug himself. I bet that if we check his phone, he also got a text to come to this room. Why else would he already have a key card." She explained.

Once Xi Xinye was finished talking, everyone knew that Lin Jiao was the true mastermind behind a scheme to harm Li Hua. "Miss Lin, I was really happy to be invited to your party and hoped we could be friends so I'm sad this had to happen." Li Hua said with a sigh, she then left the room with a sad face.

The group looked at Li Hua's back and had a lot of mixed feelings since the group was composed of females they felt bad for Li Hua. Many in their circle already knew that the Li family found their lost daughter after thirteen years. So they felt a lot of pity for Li Hua seeing that she accompanied her sister in hopes of making friends but was almost put in a very unfortunate event.

Qi DaiYu glared at Lin Jiao, "Miss Lin, you might have turned order but you didn't get wiser. The only present you got this year was being a more disgusting person." She said then stomp out the room to chase after Li Hua. Everyone agreed with Qi DaiYu's words and they too gave a glare to Lin Jiao before exiting the room. Xi Xinye walked toward the exit but stopped by Lin Jiao side, "Scheming isn't something new in our world but next time you should pick your targets. I don't know what the Li family will do but I can tell you that Jin Singtan won't let you off for putting him in this situation. For that matter alone, I truly pity you Lin Jiao." She said then exited the room.

Lin Jiao kneeled on the floor, knowing full well that her life and reputation was over. "What should I do now Lingling?" She asked looking up at her friend with tears running down her face. Li Ling kneeled down and put her hand on Lin Jiao's shoulder, "Don't worry, I'm sure this will blow over soon. Also, I believe you that this was Li Hua's fault and I promise I'll make her pay.

"Yes! She must live a life worse than death!" Lin Jiao said in an angry voice. Li Ling nodded her head and hugged her friend with an unreadable look on her face. 'Li Hua, I don't know how you got lucky but I vow you will wish that you never me.' She thought with narrow eyes.
