Theoretically speaking, everyone’s room space is infinite, so when Li Xi walked into the gym, he saw a variety of equipment that far exceeded his imagination.

After all, he was a delicate mage.

The weakness of mages was an ironclad law, and it was, of course, in comparison to those knights.

“Do I have to try all of these?” Li Xi hesitated, using a slightly innocent tone and tugging at Duan Zhen’s sleeve: “I… I might not be able to handle it.”

Duan Zhen glanced at him, a hint of a smile in his eyes.

As it turned out, Duan Zhen wasn’t that crazy. After teaching Li Xi a simple warm-up, he tested his endurance and arm strength.

Li Xi managed to control his physical ability to make it seem like an average person’s level. After completing a set of tests, he intentionally added some tiny beads of water to his head, made his cheeks slightly flushed, and started breathing a bit heavily.

While Duan Zhen was looking at the data he recorded, Li Xi leaned against the treadmill, looking up at him with a somewhat anxious expression.

“Not bad,” Duan Zhen’s gaze fell on him, thoughtful. “Better than I imagined.”

Li Xi’s face revealed a happy expression from being praised.

Duan Zhen was momentarily dazzled by his smile. After a few seconds of lowering his eyes, he continued, “However, it’s not enough so you can rely on yourself to get through intermediate instances. Next, I’ll teach you some skills.”

Not noticing Duan Zhen’s momentary pause, Li Xi took the opportunity to ask, “I saw skills for sale in the shop, where you can learn them in just one second.”

“That’s not suitable,” Duan Zhen frowned.

Seeing Li Xi still looking puzzled, he softened his tone: “There’s no such thing as a free meal in this world. The so-called learning in one second is only one second in the outside world. According to those who have used it, once you purchase a skill, you’ll be drawn into a blank space with no sound. Only when you have completely mastered the skill will you be released.”

Li Xi was slightly taken aback.

“People with weak wills may even collapse directly, and there are cases of people who never wake up after buying a skill.” Duan Zhen patted his shoulder. “You don’t need to take such a big risk right now.”

“Yeah, I’ll listen to you,” Li Xi smiled.

Although the testing was over, Li Xi still pestered Duan Zhen, saying that he wanted to try other fitness equipment. His voice was sweet and soft, with a lingering tone of coquettishness. With that delicate face that didn’t seem human, even Duan Zhen couldn’t refuse him when he looked into his eyes.

In the end, for some unknown reason, Duan Zhen and Li Xi spent the afternoon in the gym. They worked out together, and the young boy got so tired trying to keep up that he ended up lying motionless on the mat. His body was covered in a thin layer of sweat, his hair messy, and he looked pitiful.

“Don’t lie down right after exercising,” Duan Zhen reached out to pull him up, but Li Xi fell into his arms instead.

Duan Zhen instinctively caught him and held him in his embrace.

Despite sweating, Li Xi didn’t have any smell of sweat. There was even a faint fragrance. His slender body pressed against Duan Zhen, and Duan Zhen could even feel the rise and fall of his chest.

Duan Zhen’s arm was perfectly wrapped around his slender and soft waist. He moved his throat slightly, but for a moment, he couldn’t speak.

The body in his embrace was so soft that it didn’t feel like a boy’s. If it weren’t for Duan Zhen knowing that Li Xi had an Adam’s apple, he would even suspect that the other person was a girl dressed as a boy to avoid trouble.

“I’m sorry, Brother Duan,” Li Xi buried his head in his embrace, a pleased smile on his lips, his voice tinged with guilt and nervousness. “I, I have no strength left. I really can’t stand properly.”

“I just moved too hard,” Duan Zhen suppressed the strangeness in his heart: “Let me help you walk slowly.”

“Okay.” Li Xi lowered his head, half of his body pressing onto Duan Zhen, his legs trembling weakly: “Sorry for troubling you.”

He could feel the muscles on Duan Zhen’s arm, and a continuous warmth radiated from the point of contact, making his ears and cheeks turn red.

The droplets on his clothes weren’t sweat; they were water droplets he condensed using magic, forming a thin layer on his clothes. The fragrance was also created by him. Of course, a delicate and exquisite flower like him couldn’t have the smell of sweat; it was all a natural body fragrance.

However, despite preparing all of this, Duan Zhen, who was supporting him, still had a serious expression, while Li Xi blushed first from the contact.

“I want to sit for a while,” Li Xi touched his own face, wondering if his charm had really diminished or if his current appearance was too small? But when he was in this age range, he had many admirers who could circle around the kingdom.

Li Xi secretly observed himself in the gym’s mirror. Even though he was 18 years old, he only reached Duan Zhen’s shoulders in height. However, his body proportions were excellent, with a slender waist, long legs, and perky buttocks. Even now, hanging off a man’s arm without much grace, he looked like a beautiful painting.

Looking at his legs, an idea sparked in Li Xi’s mind.

He sat down on the sofa outside, and Duan Zhen went to get him some water. Li Xi secretly measured the length of the sofa and made sure he could lie down comfortably before obediently sitting in place.

Duan Zhen brought back disposable cups with slightly salty water.

“Saltwater,” Duan Zhen explained briefly: “You’ve sweated too much.”

“Thank you,” Li Xi took it and took a few sips. He slightly furrowed his brow because he wasn’t accustomed to the taste.

Although he appeared to be sipping it slowly, he actually drank it quickly. In just a few minutes, the cup was empty.

Duan Zhen checked the time and was about to let him go back when he saw a look of pain on Li Xi’s face, and he bent over, clutching his leg.

“What’s wrong?” DuanzZhen’s eyes widened.

“It feels like a cramp,” Li Xi’s face turned pale from the pain, his eyes slightly reddened.

Duan Zhen hurried over, holding his ankle: “Don’t curl up, keep it straight.”

“It hurts…” Li Xi whimpered.

Duan Zhen didn’t stop his movements. “Relax.”

Once the cramp subsided, Li Xi, with tears in his eyes, held onto Duan Zhen’s sleeve, his eyes and nose turning red. This comical and embarrassing appearance, if it were on someone else, would seem ridiculous, but on him, it looked pitiful and lovely.

“Is it still hurting?” Duan Zhen asked.

“No, it doesn’t hurt anymore,” Li Xi whispered, sniffing: “Just a bit uncomfortable.”

After a moment’s pause, as if hesitating, he gently tugged at Duan Zhen’s sleeve. “Brother Duan, can you… can you help me massage it?”

As he spoke, his gaze lowered, unable to meet Duan Zhen’s eyes, and his ears turned as red as if they were congested.

Duan Zhen remained silent.

Tears swirled in Li Xi’s eyes, but they stubbornly refused to fall. Just as he was about to say it wasn’t necessary, he heard the voice of the man.

“Un.”

He immediately became happy all at once, but he still softly mumbled, “Thank you, Brother Duan.”

Even though it was a single-person sofa, there was more than enough room for Li Xi. The young boy took off his shoes obediently and positioned himself on the sofa, his waist slightly sinking and revealing a soft and enticing curve.

Duan Zhen remained calm as he tentatively massaged Li Xi’s calf, hearing Li Xi softly murmur, “Gently… be gentle.”

Even though Duan Zhen didn’t even use half of his strength, he still eased up on the pressure. However, he couldn’t help but sigh in his heart.

How could Li Xi survive in this world if he relied on others like this?

At first, Li Xi had the intention of seducing Duan Zhen with his body, but Duan Zhen’s technique was skillful, and he felt incredibly comfortable being kneaded. He couldn’t help but relax on the sofa, directing Duan Zhen’s movements with a contented hum.

It was clear that he had been pampered. Duan Zhen’s gaze slightly darkened, but he placed even more trust in Li Xi’s words.

However, there was still a lingering doubt in his mind.

As Duan Zhen continued to massage all the way up to his waist, which was so slender that it seemed like he could circle it with both hands, he lightly pressed down. Li Xi’s body trembled, and he let out a soft moan.

But soon, Li Xi suddenly moved forward and blushed with embarrassment. “No, there’s no need to press here.”

Duan Zhen carefully observed his expression, making sure he didn’t detect any hint of annoyance or wariness. Then he asked, “Have we met before?”

He couldn’t recall seeing someone with such a remarkable appearance, but he didn’t rule out the possibility of encountering the person somewhere.

As expected, Li Xi’s blush faded upon hearing the question. He lowered his head, as if contemplating something. After a moment, he softly replied, “I have seen you.”

After saying those words, he fell silent again, his fingers clutching the fabric of his pants, leaving faint marks on the smooth material.

Seeing him pursing his lips, apparently recalling an unpleasant memory, Duan Zhen guessed that their previous meeting must not have taken place in a pleasant environment. He gently patted Li Xi’s hair. “Don’t dwell on it, it’s all in the past.”

Li Xi grabbed his hand, his whole body feeling unsteady, and even his fingertips were trembling.

“Look at me.” Despite the trembling fingertips, Li Xi’s expression was surprisingly calm, and his beautiful face leaned closer, almost nose to nose, and they could feel each other’s breathing.

He didn’t know if it was his delusion, but Duan Zhen felt that the other’s breath was sweet.

At such close proximity, Duan Zhen could only see Li Xi’s eyes clearly.

Those eyes looked black at first, but upon closer inspection, they appeared to be a shallow shade of brown.

In truth, Li Xi wasn’t quite sure how to handle this sudden outbreak. He wasn’t really a delicate flower, and he didn’t know how a delicate flower would act in such a situation. He could only proceed based on his own understanding.

“When I first came to this world, the first world I encountered was Clemens. I didn’t understand anything, and if it weren’t for this face, I would have died at the hands of monsters.” He sat back down, curling up with his hands hugging his legs. “The captain saved me, but the condition was that I had to follow him. His team had some strength, and even with my lack of skills, I managed to safely navigate through many worlds.”

He paused and sneakily glanced at Duan Zhen before adding, “Actually, the captain is not bad. He didn’t force me and said he would wait until I’m willing. But I don’t like him. Throughout my life, many people liked me because of this face, and all they loved was this physical appearance.”

Not wanting to dwell on those experiences, Li Xi redirected the topic. “I know that Brother Duan has saved many people and is willing to help newcomers. I saw you from a distance once, and from the first moment, I knew you were different from the others. As I got to meet you, I realized that it was true. You don’t look at me with disgust like they do, and even when faced with my appearance, you can treat me normally.”

Duan Zhen raised an eyebrow lightly.

Li Xi continued: “And my intuition is very accurate. I believe in Brother Duan. When you massaged my leg today, you didn’t take advantage of me. If it were someone else, they would’ve…”

Duan Zhen frowned: “Were you testing me?”

“No, no, it’s not like that. I really had a cramp, and it was really uncomfortable,” Li Xi shook his head repeatedly. He leaned closer, trying to please him. “I have tried hard today. I won’t overexert myself anymore in the future.”

Duan Zhen reached out and lightly tapped his head. “It won’t happen again.”

“Great!” Li Xi’s face immediately brightened.

For now, they would put this matter behind them. Li Xi had gained an advantage and didn’t want to linger here any longer. He put on his shoes slowly. “I’ll be heading back now, Brother Duan.”

“Get some rest,” Duan Zhen watched him from the side. “Continue your training here tomorrow.”

“Definitely,” Li Xi clenched his fist, motivating himself: “I won’t lag behind in the next world.”

He waved goodbye to Duan Zhen with a smile at the door. Once the door closed in front of him, the smile on his face faded slightly.

He shouldn’t have improvised like that today, and he didn’t know if there were any flaws in his words. But judging by Duan Zhen’s expression, at least he believed part of it.

Li Xi pushed aside those unpleasant thoughts and happily touched his hair.

Today, Duan Zhen not only hugged him and massaged his leg but also patted his head. Although he wasn’t sure if these developments were related to his resemblance to that Zizhuo, it was still progress.

In any case, getting closer to Duan Zhen was the first step. The upcoming month of training was a great opportunity, and it would also allow him to shape his image as a delicate yet resilient and diligent person.

However…

Duan Zhen actually didn’t take advantage of him!

Li Xi returned to his room and stood in front of the large floor mirror, looking at himself. He couldn’t help but wonder. Although he had praised him for not being swayed by his appearance, it seemed like Duan Zhen really wasn’t swayed at all, not even a little reaction.

Could it be that he was wearing too many clothes? Should he try wearing sports shorts next time and show off his legs?

He lifted his shirt, examining his soft, white abdomen. He continued to ponder. He even had a waist indentation, and when he wore formal attire, many people praised his waistline. Why didn’t Duan Zhen even touch it?

Li Xi stood in front of the mirror in silence for half an hour, then used a grooming spell on himself. He walked to the bedside, retrieved a brightly colored book from a row of books, tore off the plastic wrapping, and opened the first page.

On the thin paper, a row of large characters was printed: “How to Capture Their Attention When Your Appearance Isn’t Good Enough!”

Lol, Li Xi is so nonsensical. I wonder how long he can keep up on the act!
